“New” Tanks in KTTS 9.3 Video

Hello everyone,

those of you with sharp eyes probably already noticed this bit in the 9.3 video:

In case you are wondering, what’s on the screen (apart from the playing T49 and the T-28 on the right side):

- the left tank is T54E2, a non-autoloader version of the T54, that was originally to be in the second American medium line (the T95 one, not the T57 Heavy one) as tier 9 apparently. The model is very old, like two years, it was shown several times. Currently, there is no ETA on that tank (or, whether it will be in the game at all).

- the other tank is AC4 Sentinel “Thunderbolt”, carrying a 17pdr gun – an Australian tank. Also a very old model that has been around for a while, currently there are no plans for it (technically it is a tier 6 vehicle like the Firefly). Possibly a premium.

    • Always thought the AC III was the thunderbolt….

      There should be an Australian sub line in the commonwealth tree of Sentinel -> thunderbolt -> AC IV tier 4-6 opposite Canadian Ram 1 -> Ram II -> Grizzly (with 17-pdr).

      Would even give wargaming a chance to sort out having different nations in one tree before having to do it big style for Euro tree.

    • only the AC3 was called ‘Thunderbolt’ AC4 had no nickname
      there is a lot of good write ups on the line ‘Australian Military Vehicles Research’ has a very good and detailed write up on all models

  5. It’s annoying that WG fine with fantasy crap but no can’t have actual tanks like the Sentinel. It’s a fair cool looking tank, plus it had a dual 25-pdr option for the lulz :)

    • the dual 25pounder setup was only ever a prototype to test if the tank could handle the recoil of the 17pounder, you probably won’t see it in game because A.WG are too lazy to model a dual gun system for one tank and B.ergonomically its nonviable as the guns take up most of the turret space, the crew literally cannot fit inside, it had to be loaded and fired from the outside

      on another note what a surprise that WG have technically derped on the AC4 model, they used the prototype hull (granted the only AC4 ever built) with the missing MG mount instead of the AC3 hull it was supposed to use. It’s probably still got the 3x cadillac triplex engine instead of the diesel too -_-

  6. What’s the AMX 50B buff that was mentioned in the video? I’m aware it got an Aim time buff in 9.2, but what is the buff in 9.3?

  7. yahoo lets have 400 more tanks that never existed on anything more than blueprints or a couple of testing models.

    Can we stick to TANKS that actually existed. No Sherman Firefly yet, Walker bulldog not in game yet but we have a bunch of tanks that never existed beyond paper.

    Most in this game were the thoughts that some one jotted down on a piece of toilet paper. makes it disgusting actually. Just a grab for more money from the player base. Keep making up tanks.. Idiots.

      • But wait there’s more: for people like me, only progress is to grind tanks.

        And WG is a company that aims to get money. As Gaijin, Blizzard, EA, etc.
        And they get it. You call them idiots still? Without money you would be sitting on flat maps with Sega graphics.

    • Those two tanks you mentioned are coming….One in a few weeks, the other had its branch revealed and is probably coming in a few months.

      Also, I love it how Brits can see tons of historical tanks in WoT, and still go into a fit of rage about WoT only having blueprint tanks, just because the Firefly isn’t in the game yet xD

    They’d need to fix the T140 though. Seriously, you’re talking about a 105mm gun with higher muzzle velocities than the M68/L7 but with 210 penetration? Are you fucking kidding?

    You’re talking about a gun that threw a 50.50 pound APDS at 5,100 feet/sec. That’s ridiculous. And it gets 210 penetration ingame?

    T140′s one of the most gimped guns in the game and it needs to be fixed before the T54E2 drops. If it ever does.

    • The T140E2 gun of the T54E1 already has 255mm penetration with HVAPDS ammunition in the game.
      And as with other tier 9 and 10 mediums WG can make this ammunition the standard ammunition for a non autoloader version of the gun.
      This is simply a balance thing.

  10. In other news, this sheds some light on how big the T49 is. Lol it’s nearly the size of an M48.

    That’s actually legit. It’s a big tank. The Bulldog and T37 are going to be the same size.

  12. Notice how the old E2 model looks different form the new one in the image,that means there is still a chance they will implement it,why else would they waste resources updating it?

  15. It’s not rocket sience that when you see 54E2 in officiall WG video, that’s a pretty obvious spoiler on what’s comming…
    even if it might take some time (soon TM).

  17. Ummm but the clan wars new med is a diferent model with a tumor on the top… this looks more like we have in near future a split in USA frankenline.

    I think in introduce T92 light as tier 7, buff T71 as tier 8 and in meds add the E2 as tier 10 following actual tier 9 T54 and they only need to complete 2nd med line a tier 7… i think in the supersherman with 90mm gun… with enough engine and good hulldown… could be a mini centurion.

    I know is not very normal finish a revolver line with a non revolver gun but well, they can give E2 2 guns, a regular gun and a revolver gun… like they do now in USA lights (T37 and M41), even revolver could be T54 gun buffed in stats and using a diferent shell with 230mm pen… or they can buff T54 pen to.

      • Eeee i use supersherman as a name to call an USA version with 90mm, a test version in WWII performed fitting a modified T26 Pershing prototype turret to an M4 hull, with a 90mm gun, as tier 7 is an interesting option, a hulldown support med… a good counterpart to T20 fast no armor med.

        The egiptian tank was M4A4 with FL-10 Turret, and Israel had 2 sherman variants

        Sherman M-50 with the French CN 75-50 75 mm gun

        Sherman M-51with improved engine and T23 turret modified to fit a shortened variant of the French 105 mm Modèle F1 gun with large muzzle brake

        And a last sherman from post wars is an argentinian version called Repotenciado a conversions of British Sherman VC and IC Hybrid to include a diesel engine and a new armament suite, the 105 mm FTR L44/57 gun (an Argentine copy of the CN-105-57 Gun used on the AMX-13), a co-axial MAG-58 machine gun, and turret pintle mounted M2HB machine gun.       • Depend of gun… i dont see it bad as tier 10… with a better movility than M48 even with worst armor… could be a good tier 10 med.

        Maybe the fun think is have M60 as gift tank and M48 as regular tank… and well i think is time to split the USA franken line and E2 for me has room as tier 10.
