Hello everyone,
remember the Tas assault gun? This render video was posted on EU forums in the Hungarian section by Angelus1991ster. I am not sure about the author, perhaps it’s Angelus itself, however in any case, it’s a pretty good job.
In case you are interested in this vehicle’s history, Karika wrote an article not so long ago with all the details. In World of Tanks terms, it’s a potential Hungarian tier 7 or 8 tank destroyer (depending on the soft stats).
awesome, can’t wait for the hungarian jagdpanther :3
That thing looks like a copy if Jgpanther, atleast by the shape of chassis front and the superstructure.. Are there any details about the gun and armor etc?
hungarian tanks were inspired by german tanks!
Follow the link above, the article explains this in great detail.
Note that this is only Á. Bíró’s concept of the Tas rohamlöveg. Nothing is really known about the exterior of that TD, even its existense is questioned by some of the Hungarian historians
Armor was better than the Panther’s , at least on the front, sides were the same pretty much. Plus, it had no overlapping wheels.
I can see some russian effect in the frontal hull armor because of the multi-angle shape. Gun: 8,8 cm KwK L/71, but Germans never gave Hungarians a single one, or a better engine.
Sorry, but this is excellent work – is not my work.
This model by Cs Peti from youtube.
Other excellent works: Toldi tanks

Looks like the Jagdpanthers balls just dropped. Love the way this thing looks.
The shape somewhat different from the original version:

This render results a higher, shorter assault gun with different armor shape. Check the back side of the upper armor. It was cut down, while the original was sloped.
Thats a shame that no prototype has remained. So we will never know, what was the original form.
