Hello everyone,
yesterday was the annual celebration of the Independence Day in Finland, related to the date of 6.12.1917 – thus making Finland 97 years old this year. As a part of the celebrations a military parade took place, featuring some rare pieces of equipment, including the Finnish StuG III and the Landsverk Anti vehicles.
According to an accompanying article in Finnish news (thanks for the link, Nalle), the StuG is really thirsty – its fuel consumption is cca 150 liters per 100 km.
Look! There is a svastika! I imagine the youtube error message in Germany: “this video is no longer available in your country”
:D
it’s not blocked yet :D
Are these swastikas really forbidden in germany – i mean in museums etc ?
Come on. Its historycally correct…
Yes and no, use of swastika is allowed for science, research, teaching, documentation of history and art.
The problem is, that games are legally not considered art in germany. So no swastikas in video games.
Technically it’s History not Art and Germany is just a lost cause anyway lol.
Great Military force in the Modern Age, just stupid laws.
It’s a actual swastika, the hakenkreuz is what most people associate with a swastika. That’s illegal in Germany.
Nope, that’s not a swastika. A swastika is turned 45 degrees, that one is the Finnish army insignia (or what it’s called)

First poster is right. Symbol is Swastika. Nazis used hakenkreuz which is rotated swastika. Unfortunately that isn’t much of a change (on purpose by Nazis) so use of Swastika is widespread (i.e. everywhere)
“The Hakaristi had been in use since 1918 and was unrelated to the similar German national marking, the Swastika.”

DAT sound of the StuG! Curious if it’s the original V12. Sounds glorious! Bul bul bul bul bul bul and 20L are gone.
Running in the StuG’s exhaust fumes though.. Not so healthy probably :P
i consider the sound very silent, i mean most tanks of the era are deafening
Here’s the rest of the parade, if someone’s interested:

Since it’s Finnish, it is not a Stug, but a Sturmi
Damn. Now i bet WG patriotic vodka drinkers department is really angry. xD
Damn, again one Nazzi state Finland! Erase this country :)
Your sarcasm sucks…
He’s just retarded.
He just watches Russian media…
“the StuG is really thirsty – its fuel consumption is cca 150 liters per 100 km.”
That’s not really a lot of fuel.. I’ve driven modern APC and the consumption was at best 100 liters per 100 km. In normal conditions it was around 200-250 liters per 100 km.
Yup, it’s easy to imagine a tank consuming that. I drove russian truck in army that consumed around 60l/100km.
We once managed to get a Leopard 2 into the 100 litre per 10 km region, albeit it was in very wet, heavy snow.
Normal fuel consumption would be roughly 1/4 of that.
Kirsti is a beautiful lady : ) (That’s the name of Ps531-18)
Did you notice that the FDF Commander Jarmo Lindberg was accompanied by a certain Reino Lehväslaiho during the parade?
Yes in deed. And if some one feel that Lehväslaiho feel familiar but cant recall who is he, maybe this reminds you: “Lehvaslaiho’s Medal – Awarded for destroying two enemy vehicles with a medium tank. The targets must be at least two tiers higher than the player’s tank.
Reino Lehväslaiho was a Finnish tank ace who destroyed seven tanks and tank destroyers.”
