Hello everyone,
in today’s news, Wargaming became one of the sponsors of the Band of Brothers TV series actor reunion with the participation of real WW2 veterans, who fought in Normandy. HBO TV series “Band of Brothers” became very famous after its introduction, as it historically and realistically (well, as much as it can) depicts the lives of the American soldiers throughout the war.
This reunion will take place in June to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the end of the war:
On June 5, 6 and 7, the actors that starred in HBO’s Band of Brothers will tour the Overlord Omaha Beach Museum, the Utah Beach Museum, and the Richard D. Winters Leadership Monument in Sainte-Marie-du-Mont, Normandy, France. Also joining Wargaming in their sponsorship efforts will be War History Online, one of the world’s leading provider of online military information for the 20th century.
Following actors are scheduled to appear in Normandy (name and role in the TV series):
Douglas Spain-Antonio Garcia
Scott Grimes-Don Malarkey
James Madio-Frank Perconte
Ross McCall-Joe Liebgott
Rick Gomez-George Luz
Bart Ruspoli-Ed Tipper
William Tapley-British Tank Commander
Frank John Hughes-“Wild” Bill Guarnere
Robin Laing-“Babe” Heffron
Peter Youngblood Hills-“Shifty” Powers
Eion Bailey-David Webster
George Calil-“Mo” Alley
Philip Barantini-Wayne “Skinny” Sisk
Stephen McCole-“Moose” Heyliger
Shane Taylor-”Doc” Roe
Mark Lawrence-William Dukeman
Wargaming representatives will be on the scene to meet with the actors and the veterans alike.
You wanna meet with famous actors?
Work for WG!
Except these guys are not really “famous” actors. Can’t really say I’ve seen them in any role of importance before or after BoB.
LOL my hunch was right. “William Tapley-British Tank Commander” pertains to the one that doesn’t want to fire through the house to hit the Tiger.
But-but collateral damage…
As if the Sherman’s 75mm gun could have done anything against that Tiger.

Maybe not much… but the Tiger crew won’t be comfortable at least.
Again with this shit? the tiger was only a block away, and when it was camoed up, was facing sideways. even if not, i’m sure they had rounds to deal with them by mid 1944….. Also, i don’t even think it was a tiger, but a Jagdpanther

It was a Tiger

And in full motion HD glory (albeit with annoying german dubbed voices): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MMUKuw70GUI
That JgPanther only comes out after the tiger already engaged them.
Not until August of 1944. And even then the shells were mostly non existent.
They do not have the money for his arrival? One of the best characters in the series Michael Cudlitz-Sgt. Denver ‘Bull’ Randleman.
BOB and WOT together – WP WarGaming.
Nice. But no Damien lawis (the guy that played winters)?
And randelman is probably busy with the new Walking dead season :)
Damian Lewis is too big of a big dick-G now
Damien Lewis was there – he’s in a lot of the pictures WG posted. Don’t know why he was not listed above in the OP.

I could understand if they sponsered the people on which the series was based but actors? ffs
Yeah because WWII veterans are so young and able to travel.
I love Band of Brothers !
And Pacific is also amazing, lots of sad and gory (or how should i say) moments.
Its amazing when you watch documentary about those fights and than watch BoB and they show exactly that, what veterans talked about.
Sweet! When you get to the Panel Q&A with HBO, ask them if and when they’re ever going to do a miniseries like this on WWI, or the airmen of the Pacific or European theaters, or the Naval war of WWII… something! :p
Spielberg is working on an air men mini series, “Masters of the air”. Not much is known yet.
