So, according to the SEA server info, there is a transfer open from SEA to US. Vietnamese region only.

- historically, the T-54 before T-62A is correct, there will apparently be no new tier 9 tank to replace the T-54 as a T-62 predecessor (it will stay as it is now)
- the crew XP per battle value has an error (displays half of what it should be), it’s just an UI error (will be fixed)

- it’s possible (but not guaranteed) that the “armor quality” modifier will return in historical battles (SS: for those who don’t remember, in very early WoT versions, there was a modifier that multiplied the armor by certain value, based on the armor quality: for example, regular armor had the value of 1, high quality mid-war RH German armor had the modifier of 1,1, making it effectively 10 percent thicker – it was removed, because it confused the players IIRC)
- optional hulls are not guaranteed to appear as equal option to the usual hull: for example, T-54 could get two variants (first with more armor, the other lighter and faster), while second hull for T-34 will be better in all respects (more armor, better mobility)
- SerB states you turn “blue” by “systematically shooting your allies”
- RU251 is still scheduled to be tier 8 German light tank, its balancing has not yet begun
- it’s possible there will be WoWp for iOS/Android (like WoT Blitz) too
- the Soviet tier 8 light tank is not yet ready, there are candidates however (SS: possibly the T-100, posted here at the end)
- all tanks get the same team distribution (SS: as in spend the same amount of battles on the top and bottom of the team) with one exception: arties
- WoT Generals will most likely not work on e-ink readers such as the Onyx Magellan
- there are not enough data that would suggest the 75mm KwK 44 L/70 is more powerful than the 75mm KwK 42, that’s why they have idential performance in game. Its pen won’t be buffed (SS: yes, I tried to find some more data on that model, but there is very little indeed)
- there are apparently no curreng German historical candidates to replace unhistorical guns on some German tanks
- there are no data from Bovington available on TOG-2R and TOG-3 projects
- the reason the King Tiger had 120mm LFP in the first place (unhistorical) is that a part of data from Kubinka stated 100mm, another part stated 120mm, SerB states it’s completely possible different single vehicles had 120mm LFP
- Q: “Why is the commander’s copula on King Tiger 150mm thick instead of historical 120mm?” A: “Well, okay, since you ask, we will nerf it”
- currently there are no plans for crew skill rework
- two new mechanisms would have to be implemented for Strv 103 and other hydraulic suspension vehicles to appear
- currently the mechanism where selecting a different gun would rename the tank based on its configuration is not developed (SS: for example – 75mm L/24: Panzer IV Ausf.D 75mm L/48: Panzer IV Ausf.G)
- the reason the tier 5 Panzer Sfl.IVc was implemented with its superstructure up is that it couldn’t move with the armor pulled down
- Sturmtiger’s mortar shot was not modelled yet

    • Knowing the way these things work, the plans are probably in the loft of one of the descendants of The Old gang, who has no idea it’s there or what it’s for…

  1. ” -Q: “Why is the commander’s copula on King Tiger 150mm thick instead of historical 120mm?” A: “Well, okay, since you ask, we will nerf it”
Leave the poor thing alone! :(

    • Lol 120mms should be returned, and on the day that T10 tanks get their copulas buffed, the Tiger 2 can have it’s 150mms back.

      • Yeah its not like the Tiger 2 is already the T8 Heavy with the most weak spots, when one of it’s strengths should be good armor…

It’s just sad what they all did to it and still wont stop…

        • In reality it had same amount of weak spots, in fact I support Cupola historical nerf. This tank requires skill to be good and not more armor or firepower. This tank was strong historically because it was used in certain tactic. What most people do with it in WoT is absurd and they should be rightfully punished. Nerf the cupola Serb! Don’t let me down!

          • The KT has been fucked by WG (compared to its t8 counterparts) one patch after an other in the last year:

            - noobshells for credits
            - shell distribution change making IS3s and other russian troll cannons snipers
            — The long 10.5 was its only real strenght compared to other t8 heavies —

If that wasnt enough the german “rebelance” was nothing but one big nerf:

            - removed top engine, now top engine has less HP imo -> more fire from the front

            - less agile (who cares about useless +5km/h top speed)

            - worse armor over all (1 small buff, but massive nerf to LFP, now t6 can pen it even wehen angled) and people who are stupid enough to aim for the commander hatch, when the turret is one big weakspot deserve to bounce anyway

            - worse gun handling on long 10.5 (aimtime nerf)

            - less viewrange

So what do you know about skill or the KT in particular?

            • Dont play it. Its so incredible bad currently, i even guess it will get a buff in the far future.

    • 150mm is historical.
This value can be found in the spielberger book about the Tigers.

I have no idea where this BS comes from..

  2. Hmm, they could implement a optional hull upgrade for Pz. Sfl.IVc that has the box armor stripped away, leaving an even more vulnerable TD, but with a 360 degrees gun mount :)

  3. I doubt that link used to transfer account from VTC (VN server) to SEA server, SS. Notice “EBank”.

  4. - Q: “Why is the commander’s copula on King Tiger 150mm thick instead of historical 120mm?” A: “Well, okay, since you ask, we will nerf it”
    ___________
If this question was about soviet tank i bet my arse answer would be “How terrible” and i wouldn’t be surprised if they actually decide to nerf it…

  5. - currently the mechanism where selecting a different gun would rename the tank based on its configuration is not developed (SS: for example – 75mm L/24: Panzer IV Ausf.D 75mm L/48: Panzer IV Ausf.G)

But it is being developed? First time I see anything about it, would be cool if it is added the game.

      • hmmm… considering what the XVM team was able to do I am a bit surprised it isn’t there already… :D

    • Nah , pointless, think it that way bro: If you make every tank to be named along with its armament configuration you’ll be having quite a messed up and unclear team list. Most players who don’t give a dang about history would be confused. Yes it would provide information on what would your enemy carry but then again, real life tankers didn’t knew it either.

      • what about making it optional? It would please “history nerds” such as me, and usual WoT player wouldn’t need to be bothered ;) like with national crew voices.

        • Hey, now that’s a good idea to make it optional, though I don’t think devs will be enthusiastic about it since that’s quite some work to do.

    • I think that link for transfer from VTC server to SEA server. But according to some moderator on WOT VTC forums, the transfer is not going to happen any time soon. May be VTC is playing “hide and seek” with player :-|

  6. - the Soviet tier 8 light tank is not yet ready, there are candidates however (SS: possibly the T-100, posted here at the end)

Took them long enough, after months of systematically denying the possibility.

  7. Glad to see constructive posts and not all the normal garbage. I still want to be able to retrain my radio man. Having to constantly get rid of him (barracks) is annoying.

  8. This is the thing that made my heart skip, and my hope for this game continue at least until WG says not enough data and cancels it (I hope not but you never know).

    - RU251 is still scheduled to be tier 8 German light tank, its balancing has not yet begun

    I WANT this tank :P

    • consider yourself not alone in this case ;) we all want it (there are exceptions to this, but you know, exceptions are everywhere :D )

      • I was nearly heart broken the last time FTR translated what appeared to be news of its possible cancellation.

        FROM FTR 5.11.13
” it’s possible the RU251 as a tier 8 German light tank will be scrapped (WG didn’t manage to find relevant info), as replacements are considered (and discussed). There is a possible candidate, but no info on whether WG will go for it or not yet.”

couldn’t imagine why they would scrap it because they couldn’t find enough info, that’s never stopped them in the past :p

  9. “- all tanks get the same team distribution (SS: as in spend the same amount of battles on the top and bottom of the team) with one exception: arties”

Except when you’re good you’re bottom feeder more often… But this does not count to distribution, but WG logic of more challenge and improbable wins and smaller impact in teams overall is good for the player. But meh, never liked it, but no one asked for it either, WG just thought real RNG is not enough to insult good players to climb the uphill.

  10. What? Tiger II had historically 150mm thickness on commander’s copula. Leave it alone!
It’s sides and LFP are already weak.

  11. “- there are not enough data that would suggest the 75mm KwK 44 L/70 is more powerful than the 75mm KwK 42, that’s why they have idential performance in game. Its pen won’t be buffed (SS: yes, I tried to find some more data on that model, but there is very little indeed)”

From taking one thing out of the Spielberger-Books into account, namely the missing muzzle break on the KwK44 and 44/1, it could be derived, that the 44-Series could fire subcalibre shells, which would be impossible for the KwK42, as it is equipped with a muzzle break. Considering the higher muzzle velocity of subcalibre shells, a higher pen and potential higher possibility of critical damage would be thinkable.

  12. - the reason the King Tiger had 120mm LFP in the first place (unhistorical) is that a part of data from Kubinka stated 100mm, another part stated 120mm, SerB states it’s completely possible different single vehicles had 120mm LFP

This, I suppose, is possible. If the factory ran out of 100mm plates and had a 120mm plate just sitting around so they just cut it and slapped it on to get the chassis off the jig.

  13. - there are apparently no curreng German historical candidates to replace unhistorical guns on some German tanks

quick grammar correction “Current” from Curreng
