Hello everyone,
just a quick update on the Tank Inspector software: well, the good news is, it works nicely. The bad news is, its developers don’t have any more invite codes for now. They asked me to relay the following message:
Hi, volunteers of the Tank Inspector Beta-test,
Yesterday, we’ve received over 500 mails to apply for a beta-test invite code. It’s really appreciated that there are so many people who is interested in our product. As we wrote in the previous post, only 50 invite codes could be delivered per day, that’s because 1) sending invitations is a time-consuming job and we have only a few hands to utilize; 2) for now we are not really satisfied about the stablity of our product, after all it’s just a beta version.
We will keep on our pace to deliver the invite codes. However, we won’t have sufficient codes and time to deliver them for all the appliers. We could not guarantee that everyone who writes to us can receive an invitation code, really sorry about that. If you haven’t send your application yet, just wait for our final release, we promise we won’t keep you from waiting too long.
All our best regards,
Smellyriver
Well, at least we know people are interested :) As for me, I recieved a few of the beta invite codes myself, will post five of them here:

The client can be found here.
Hi.
Thx for the keys.
I immediately tried the 5 keys, none works.
They were used pretty fast, unlucky for us :)
A minute after SS’s post ? O_O
Maybe some people have mad skills?
Seems unlikely… But then the internet does move at the speed of light…
Yeah none works. Unlucky.

People die everyday – its the circle of life.
Where can I contact the developers with some suggestions?
In the first e-mail you got the one with the download link it says:
“If you encountered any problem, or have any advices, feel free to write to this e-mail.”
Plus the e-mail also gives you the link to their yahoo group.
I must admit the programm is already awesome as it is, and I haven’t encountered any bugs so far.
The amount of useful options is very neat, but I have to go more in-depth to find the little bugs and bummers.

For the future, please don’t POST Codes, there a many bots, which just wait for suck moments.
A picture is a way better.
I admit I have to agree after the invite code problems. They somehow just vanish “poof”.
i cant even start it, stops when at 18% on 7zip.. i guess ill just wait for the official release or something
Hi, it might be a download problem, why not try again?
Can someone make a vid on how it looks and works ? So that we don’t have to fight for codes just to have a look ?
Sure, I think it looks pretty nice.

The real question is, why require a serial for the program in the first place.
Is that such a novel idea to you?
Because its going to cost money
ha, ha, ha.. rly?
they expect me to pay moneys to.. do i even have to explain?
So its not ok for developers to expect some sort of compensation for their hard work? Is that what you’re saying?
As a software developer I have little respect for free-loaders.
I have the utmost respect for those guys that have the free time to spend working on mods and so forth.
For me, after a day writing code and using my brain the last thing I want to do is spend more time working on code.
So yeah, it’s not unrealistic to expect to pay for good software.
its not unrealistic, but for something like this you would expect it to be free with the developers simply leaving info on how to send money to the developers for their hard work.
tank inspector will be free.there is no doubt.
Because it’s a goddamn BETA that has to be limited by definition, you don’t usually want thousands of clueless retards to get a grip at unfinished product at once because consequences would be dramatic…
seems like i can be happy that i already recieved one :)
Very nice program and detailed models, devs did a nice work there.
“Special Thanks to: For the Record” ;)
Is it clean from viruses?
At least one who’s thinking before acting.
I’am using avast. It didn’t detect any viruses
I checked it with McAfee and AVG and it came up clean.
…and it does look very good. I would happily pay for this.
I applied for a code yesterday, and received it via an e-mail today (even with an excuse that it took ” so long” ). Works perfectly, looks great, and it’s clean. This program is better than the game itself hehehe.
Just don’t be so impatient, and have a cigar and a fine whisk(e)y while waiting for a code ;)
Haha, that’s the first thing I thought too when I tried it “I wish WoT had such a useful interface”. Havn’t found any issues with it yet.
guess we’ll have to wait for the final version….
Extremely good tool. Tons of info and friendly interface and even for being in beta, it worked without problems for me when I used it.
Extremely useful program, so much better than Tank viewer. +1 for the dev team
What exactly makes it better than tank viewer? What does this tool have over it?
Extra features. They’re cool. Trust me, I’m in deh beta :-)
It doesn’t only show you the models.
It shows you all available infos about a tank, including the impact of crew skills and equipment.
I also like being able to move the mouse pointer around the slopes on armour to work out the eff thickness, and where is weaker.
This feature will be better next version.we are developing.
Consider the different types of shell normalization.
There is also a projectile-trace display feature.
