as reported earlier, the Japanese tanks in final release will not be brown, they will be green. Storm posted this with a picture of the tier 10 STB-1:
Furthermore, Storm confirms the STB-1 will have the depression of -10 degrees:
- according to Storm, test will also come “very soon”

I like the green camo .. The brown might have looked funky but it was just so …. unlikely (for lack of a better word) especially for the higher tiers

Yeah, the standard Japanese tank color were brown. Why change it to green since it only apply to post 1942 tank that were sent to Pacific front.
Why didn’t they change German color to yellow too, Since German tank in Africa were yellow.
Same here. I wouldn’t mind having the pre tier 8s being brown and post tier 8 green. Japanese army tanks vs jsdf tanks.
Looks too shiny and new, I prefered my rustic color. But thats fine too, I guess.
Green looks nice, didn’t really like the rusty brown colour, gave a ‘owner doesn’t give a wink about tank’ look.

Type 59 had it’s original color when the chinese arrived, so there is a possibility, that it will stay brown.
Yea but the Type 62 had its model, color, and tier changed when they introduced the Chinese line.

-10 degrees, Im sooo getting those tanks when they are out. British line is great but has some deficiencies, it seems the japaneese will get the best of it (L7 gun, good depression, decent turret) while having better top speed, smaller profile and better hull.

Terrible, WG had the historically correct colour before and then they change it to this because of whining from a few Russians. Goes to show you want WG’s priorities are…
You sure that is the case for the change? Or is this another whine. Either way, the wording makes it sound irritatingly obnoxious.
Read up on the subject before you start making accusations, its all on FTR. The original artillery brown base paint was correct. The colour was changed last minute due to complaints from the Russian testing community.

Rising sun was used by the Japanese Navy, not land forces. (from what I gathered so far)

Also like how this tank can use smoke screens,when that gets implemented it will really useful in a tight spot.
With 10 degrees of gun depression this makes the FV4202 and M48 patton look like complete piles of shit…
Its well armoured with no tumor wrakspots
Its fast
Very small profile
Has outstanding gun depression
Average view range, pen damage
Excellent DPM and very good gun handling characteristics.
Its basically a faster FV4202 with a turret that can actually bounce stuff. Its going to be so fucking OP.
the armor is only good at an specific spot,i call it the Jackson Effect,as the Jackon only has 114mm armor at the bottom(were ppl almost never shoot at)
I don’t think it will. The rest of the armor (aside from the mantlet) is comparable to the Leopard 1 (i.e. non-existant) and it still has a cupula/rangefinder on the top of the turret. I’ll agree that the FV and M48 are getting outclassed by newer tanks but I don’t think it will be outclassed.
It has lower aim time and accuracy than its peers. Wich combined with the slightly lower pen make it a lot less suitable for sniping. Also the view range is lower.
So I think this tank would be best at flanking and using terrain to its advantage. Take its gun depression, speed, or DPM and it becomes shit.
Thought it had a 410 view range?
I liked the brown better. They should have at least kept the lower tiers brown since that was the color the IJA used on their tanks during the war.

No it isn’t, IIRC the historical gun depression is about -6.
Honestly the turret doesn’t seem roomy enough to allow for a -10 depression. But I guess its a balancing parameter.
It has -6 normally, with additional -6 (or was it -10) achieved trough lowering the frontal part with the hydropneumatic suspension.
-10 normal suspension is a nice compromise.
Historical is -6, -10 was added as a “compensation” of the fact STB-1 in game won’t have its real life hydraulic suspension.
-10° will make this tank really competitive in combination of the turret-shape and armor…

I’ve always supported Parched Grass, but this particular shade isn’t so bad now that I see it being applied. Good enough for JGSDF vehicles.

Because of Saya talking about her “children” and really it’s a plan to turn everything in the world into monsters. To me it parallels the idea of calling tanks (a weapon) one’s children. It’s something some may see as insidious while others see it as beautiful.
It’s not a plan to turn everything into monsters; it’s to convert people to their ways so world will appear more beautiful for main guy.

Yes, those are Saya’s personal motivations, but don’t forget that Saya’s species does this over and over again wherever they can. They are trying to colonize. Saya just decided that she didn’t want to go through with it after she learned about love from studying humans and didn’t want to reproduce without love.
You need to get the strong hint to ignore that part.

Why does the tank in pictures has 3 Japaneese flags on it? It comes from national Japaneese clan or it will be like that for all Japs? ;)
And btw – look at those tracks, theyr graphical quality still looks like taken from Duke Nukem..
