- during bonus XP events, the increased XP does not count towards the mastery badge requirements
- it’s possible that at some point, STB-1 will recieve its hydraulic suspension
- Q: “Did you consider making a bridge between the new medium Soviet line and the second Soviet (Obj263) TD line?” A (SerB): “No, we don’t consider all sorts of garbage, we don’t have as much time on our hands as you do”
- apparently, in 8.10 the bug where the ammo reload screen (when you reload gold ammo for credit) switches to gold ammo for gold is back, Storm knows about it
- Storm, when asked about the pictures at the end of the WoT Graphics video, such as this one (and about their appearance in game):

whoa

“This is what we will strive for in 2014″

Storm also adds that for high graphics settings, the required hardware will be “contemporary”, but can’t tell what configuration exactly will you need (he states he’s no expert in that). He however adds that i5+660Ti is a good system and that it shouldn’t exceed that by much. He also adds that multicore support will have little influence on that, as currently the performance depends mostly on the graphic card.

- Storm, when asked why the earlier pictures of the green STB-1 were much brighter, states that in their developer viewer, the lighting is very bright. This is how the camouflage on Japanese tanks was before (brown basic color)

and this is how it looks now (both pictures by Russian LJ user take_my_head)

  1. ” i5+660Ti is a good system and that it shouldn’t exceed that by much.”

You will need a better system than that for max details in the future?

    • You already need now.
I play on i7 + 760GTX, and it performs about ~60FPS on max settings, but shadows should bet set to med/low.
Even worse in 8.10 Test2 with new weather effects.

  2. “He also adds that multicore support will have little influence on that, as currently the performance depends mostly on the graphic card.”
What is he talking about? Multicore support will influence the game a lot, because as it is now the CPU is limiting the GPU as hell. I get 40% usage of my GPU because of my AMD 4 Core CPU is only used 25% of it. So more GPU Power will bring nothing for Perfomance. Maybe I just didnt understand it right but he means that they dont know what they are doing.

  3. - during bonus XP events, the increased XP does not count towards the mastery badge requirements

You don’t say ???? Who asks these stupid questions

    • Actually the answer is wrong and it shows not all developers know everything for sure. I made 1050 raw experience, didn’t get ace tanker, then half a hour later made 950 exp + ~200 bonus xp from being the top damage dealer and got the ace tanker.

  4. in 8.10 the bug where the ammo reload screen (when you reload gold ammo for credit) switches to gold ammo for gold is bag, Storm knows about it

Is this a carrier bag, or like a backpack?

  5. Anyone else notice in the end of that video planes and tanks on the same battlefield in those still shots? Good things to come?

  6. “He however adds that i5+660Ti is a good system and that it shouldn’t exceed that by much.” I call bull on that. I run a 660Ti overclocked pretty high and an i7 and still get 30-45 FPS. No where near the Max of 127 (i think that’s the frame cap.) and not 60 fps..Unless Havok will be more optimized towards video cards along with CPUs i don’t believe it.

  7. Still, they have no technical expert in WG it seems, except server side.Otherwise game still requires more “Performance per core” instead of multi-core utilization. So guy with an AMD processor will suffer FPS drops in near or far future with this policy.

  8. Of the STB-1 gets it hydraulic suspension at some point, maybe that will open the way for the S-Tank.
    Appy/Samantha

    • Nah i don’t think so. STB-1 has a turret, also has gun base depression -6 degree , so it can look normal if they buff it to 10. S-Tank has fixed gun, so it’s very difficult to make that without moving the gun, that make it look unhistorical

      • But if the suspension is introduced, as stated above, they won’t need to make the gun move. just the whole chassis. to compensate they could make its dispersion on hull movement low.

  9. The brownish color is very flat and bland. The green is very lively, shiny and actually looks better in my opinion.

And World of Tanks is a game, after all, so I think the more lively color works even if it’s less historical.
