Check out the new World of Warplanes patch on Overlord’s blog

- apparently, all tiers will have access to all maps in random in WoWp
- apparently the smooth zoom transition in 8.10 is working fine according to SerB
- neither water nor any type of terrain (on which the shell lands) influences the HE shell splash
- Q: “I’d like you to explain why my arty gets too little XP. Please.” A: “How terrible. You’re welcome.”
- the Object 430 turret armor has no problems according to SerB (SS: a player complains that it now has the same vulnerability issues like the Object 140 had before the patch)
- the difference between the two Japanese types of AP shells lies “in their construction”, according to SerB

From Overlord:

- replays for WoWp are planned for version 1.2 or later

Also, the new method for calculating whether the tank is OP or not proved so interesting I will make a summary post tomorrow about it.

    Again same whine….they already have best turrets in the game, just because every fool shoots gold ammo on the test server doesn’t mean it has shitty turret. Maybe those QQing russkies should try and play Leo1 and then dare to bitch about too weak turret. They are fucking annoying.

    • 140 and 430 have very bad turret armor, due to turret roof being overmatched by everything

            • No i am not Siemka….judging by your stupidity you want invincible tank….So 140 got better depression, what’s the matter if it has less armor on the turret…most of the people won’t shoot it in the turret anyway because hull is paper….you need to sacrifice something for something….T62 has better turret armor and shitty gun depression, 140 better depression shittier turret…leo1 has even better depression, but paper armor….it’s not like there is fucking 3 exact same tanks with slight differences and you are still QQing about them being UP….how about they give more turret armor but nerf reload to 7 seconds? Would you take it?

                140 and t62 ignite very easily. Auto extinguishers almost don’t help.
                Compared to them, the other t-10 tanks cannot be burned.

                I’m QQed only about VK4502P. It sucks big time when compared with E-75. And has very interesting skew in statictics.

                I’m putting bets about how much you will butthurt when you will read SS’s post about “new method of calculating”, and when you’ll see how much tier-10 soviets suck. Even more than Maus, lol.

  2. Poor people not realizing SPGs just don’t earn a lot of XP by the nature of their guns and HE shells. IE they miss more then normal guns. A mad and excited SPG player is going to be a poor SPG player.

    It also helps if you read the *** map… Often.

    • That’s not the issue. I could hit with every shell I fire, do double the damage of the next tank in line and only get three quarters of the experience said tank gets. Apparently SPGs get a lower xp coefficient for this or that reason.

      • Apparantly there is a close quarter combat bonus you get for fighting tanks. So if you are like 50 m away you get this bonus + spotting dmg if there is something to spot. And that’s the point. As arty you almost ever staying so far behind that you won’t get this bonus. If you don’t go td mode and fight in cqc you almost never will end up on top xp wise

  3. I don’t play SPG, but I agree that non-damage ways of earning credits are too low.
    Scouts and SPGs typically don’t do as well, but eh… That’s how they pick for it to go.

    You notice we don’t get missions that reward scouts?… No specific Art missions either.

    • I understand that spotting gets 50% of XP, but still, its more work than actual fun to play arty.

      And i started to play this game because it was FUN.

        • I dont mind losing. You learn more from losing than winning.

          I also expect to lose rounds because if you only win, kinda gets hollow and pointless.

  5. And they still asking for another one .Object 430U… even it’ll be a heavytank, it’s look like another three we had.
    And don’t tell me about L7 clone. It’s a gun, at least its tank are different
