There is some confusion about the Italian branch/tree now.

- Q: “You said that you will implement a separate Italian branch?” A: “As usual, we didn’t give that answer – I haven’t found the word ‘separate’ anywhere”
- SerB on the TD based on IS-4: “a 152mm gun, classic Soviet composition with the superstructure in the front, armor roughly the same as the IS-4 has, we don’t have any more data for now”, apparently there might even be a variant with a not-fully rotating turret in the back
- Jagdtiger 88 and Jagdtiger differ in maximum speed, because “JT88 doesn’t have the top engine”
- SerB states that while the policy of Wargaming is that premium vehicles have to be worse somehow than the regular vehicles of the same tier, this does not apply for reward/special vehicles: “If these are as strong as regular vehicles of the same tier – that is acceptable, but not required. Them being stronger – that’s not acceptable”
- there is no direct connection between height of the tank and its viewrange: the viewrange is set manually
- WG started to develop the graphics improvement (HD) a year ago, they couldn’t start two years ago, because they didn’t have the money to do it

  1. - Jagdtiger 88 and Jagdtiger differ in maximum speed, because “JT88 doesn’t have the top engine”

What kind of BS answer is this they both have same 700hp engine?

      • Lol they must have forgotten that they nerfed the German tanks back in 8.8 I assume the regular jadgtiger has better ground resistance

    • They used to have different engine before the “engine nerf/rebalance” for the Germans. Now they both have the same engine and regular JT even have the heavier gun and somehow is more mobile and faster. Yup, WG doesn’t have a clue about their game. Next explanation would probably be that JT88 has poorer suspension therefore is less mobile and slower.

      • They buffed the terrain resistance of the tier 9 JT (mostly to compensate for the decreased engine power) but not the premium JT88. Overall their relative mobility were the same.

They have also left the JT88 armor scheme unchanged while the regular JT now has a weaker LFP but no MG port weakspot.

  2. After reading about the kind of parties WG throws nowadays I think they now DO have the money for HD client and much more. :D

    Tell that to SU-122-44.

    • Faster better DPM and better armor than SU-152.

      Don’t like Su-152? Buy SU-122!

(We need a SeRB trollface in this blog)

    • Again another example of WG not knowing their own game. Yet another is that the M60 (reward tank) is indeed better than the M48, which, according to Serb is unacceptable.

        • That one too. I just named SU-122-44 because it’s one of the most common prem tanks on the battlefield and it’s clearly OP compared to some T7 TDs

          • And by some, you mean all of them :)
(Maybe the JP is a tad better, depending on playstyle) :D

          • The SU-122-44, it’s weakness is it’s armour, it has almost none. It relies on it’s slope for it’s protection. The gun has good alpha and pen for tier 7, but accuracy and aiming time are very bad. And with 330 view range … you have to depend alot on your team to spot unless you’re using binocs / optics. Also, what about the e25 ? Highest camo of all tier 7 TD’s, high ammo count, average alpha and pen, but it’s ROF compensates for it ( Fires every 3 seconds I think ). Good accuracy and aiming time as well. But, it too has it’s flaws such as continuous exposure to fire at enemies and almost no armour. So, the tier 7′s are pretty balanced according to me.

  4. - Q: “You said that you will implement a separate Italian branch?” A: “As usual, we didn’t give that answer – I haven’t found the word ‘separate’ anywhere”

so the italian branch may come but this means it’s still part of EU tech tree?

  5. Did Italy have so much tanks? I mean are there enough tanks for tier 1 to 10? Which italian tank could be tier 10?

  6. - Jagdtiger 88 and Jagdtiger differ in maximum speed, because “JT88 doesn’t have the top engine”

    This is bullshit.

NOW WG wants to integrate “realistic” upgrades but every other tank before it that’s a non-premium have engine upgrades and not a single one ups the top speed of any tank. Engine upgrades in this game have always been engine hp, fire chances, and acceleration modifiers… never a top speed one.

Sure upping the HP would squeeze a few more km/h’s out of your tank, but this selective realism thing is starting to get really old.

    • It’s because the JT88 has 2 big antennas, which cause air resistance and hence it can’t go as fast. Logic.

  7. >> – Q: “You said that you will implement a separate Italian branch?” A: “As usual, we didn’t give that answer – I haven’t found the word ‘separate’ anywhere”

Well, i found this word on FTR :P …

  8. ” SerB states that while the policy of Wargaming is that premium vehicles have to be worse somehow than the regular vehicles of the same tier”
    Mini-maus, Pz ll J, leFH18B2, SU-122-44, Type 59…

  9. SU – 122 – 44 :

    Pros : Good alpha
    Good pen
    Good maneuverability

    Cons: Bad view range
    Bad aiming time
    Bad accuracy
    Bad armor (Relies on slope)
On the low side of HP pool ( as compared to all tier 7 TDs )
Highest suspension rotation dispersion when traversing ( of all tier 7 TDs)

So yeah, I’d say that’s pretty balanced.
