  1. But what about the english wiki? Do you know if it will ever be updated again?

    • yea especially that black/white background when page is loading …
menaged to make it as my new wallpaper :)

    • It’s clearly made for touch screens/tablets. It would be easy if you could navigate with fingers.

      • It is not at all made for Tablets.
You can’t scroll by swiping with your finger.
That is not how it technically works.
Even worse if you load it on a tablet a nasty message shows up you better load it on Desktop.

And sry but how is it hard to navigate?
Just scroll down with your mouse wheel.
The icon in the bottom tells you to do so.
And the Icons of the chapters are there as well.
The internet is really that new to you people?

No offence but this is obviously a product presentation website.
It is something to show off, to be modern and cool.
It is sicks me when people complain about such a site is not clear as wikipedia.
Like it not runs on a 640×480 pixel screen in Internet Explorer 6 (I guess^^).

Look at it like printed brochure.
Go to a prosche dealer and look at what they have in the shelfs there.
It is in no way spec sheets black on white…

Many companies are using such websites for short campaigns.
VWs http://www.Beetle.com was like this, Nike used it for the 2012 air jordens, Sony used it multiple times, …
Most have been taken down short after release of the product.
One very old, still runnnig is this one: http://www.dangersoffracking.com/
        Google/bing for “parallax scrolling webdesign”.

        greetings from a webworker ;o)

  2. And it is an offical World of Tanks site – not a fansite:

Wargaming PCL, Reg. No. HE 290838, address: 105 Agion
    Omologiton Avenue, 1080, Nicosia, Cyprus

    Look in the footer ;)

And it has a very long loading time etc etc…

      • No, that is an objectively AWFUL load time. Both from a user-experience and from a web-design standpoint. I’ve got fibre-optic and a pretty decent computer, so its not that.

Personally I don’t like it. Sure its fun to experiment with all the fancy things you can, but please do NOT let this anywhere near the WoT main page.

  3. Looks great. Is this gonna be the new website for WoT? If so, it’s gonna be a huge visual improvement (not so sure about performance though)

    • Looks like it will just be some kind of ad/promotion site. with presentation of features, nothing more. Like a page before accessing the download link of the client or something like that.

In bottom right corner, you have eula, privacy policy and how to uninstall the game. Wait what?

  4. I hate Flash-overloaded sites… visually looks nice, but loads for ages and the interface is not comfortable.
And oh…. IS (which version? hull looks like IS-2, turret like IS-3) crushing Tiger I… Russian tanks stronk :)

    • It’s called an IS-4….
E75 left bottom being dead, with the hull of a Tiger II? since it has a machine gun but the turret has the E75 viewports :|,
      M103 above it.
STB losing its turret on the right.

And in the middle bottom, a bike, probably Dutch design.

      • Whatever it uses… it’s overloaded.
And yeah…. I forgot IS-4… it makes the picture so realistic and historic.

        • loading time are very long, specially the videos embedded to it. I hope it’s not the main page.

Btw, fail platoon with Tiger 1

  5. finally WG managed to convert their ingame FPS-drops and package losses to use them as features on a new WoT portal website!

    aaaaaawwww-yeeeeeeaaaaah!!

  6. Well, it does show off independent road wheels, turrets blown off and environmental destruction, and a russian tank crushing a german one, it has to be real :D
