- the testing of Stronkhold mode was positive, based on the feedback the devs changed the format of the raids inside it to 7vs7, 10vs10 and 15vs15, depending on tier of the raid
- described tank nerfs (as written in the patchnotes)
- FV215b (183) gold penetration was nerfed because the players used the gold ammo more often than the developers expected
- M46 was buffed (accuracy on the move and others)
- VK4502P Ausf.B armor was somewhat improved
- other buffs/nerfs described
- new HD models: IS, SU-100, StuG III and Churchill I
- reworked maps
- Komarin will now appear only for low tier tanks apparently
- new graphically improved Prokhorovka was added
- HD tanks will display in full texture quality only if you are driving that tank, other (friendly/enemy) tank HD models will show with lower quality texture
- added the foliage transparency toggle in order to increase performance on bad computers
- currently devs are working on adding new light tanks (US, German, Soviet)

    • Thank goodness screw that map 9.2 is the best patch in a long time for that reason alone.

      • Komarin was always nice map, only people are stupid to know how to play it. And of course arty and TD camp garbage spoiled the map for others. Still, last version of the map enables dynamic gameplay and both sides are balanced so what’s with the whining?

                • Clearly early Komarin gameplay was awesome.
                  Either stand still for 15 minutes or cap rush and win in 1 minute.

            • why? because its a campfest. you go in a position and you stay there. you cant fall back or push either, otherwise you die. also, the crossfire is(was) a problem too. if you go to the iland you get fired at by all directions.

              This is why HT/MT/LT (non-coward, pretty skilled players) hated (more or less) this map, and this is why arty and TD players (coward clickers mainly) loved this map.

              Tho, i have to agree, having an arty was pretty good, since the game took less minutes to develop.. <3

          • komarin was good map as long as there were visible tracers from all tanks, sometimes I had 5-6 tanks spotted as arty (damaging unspotted tank was counted as spoting). turning tracers off for tanks/td gave campers big advantage

    • There are worse, I personally don’t like Severogorsk, Karelia and Hidden village. Always corridors with “perfectly natural” hill in the middle for HT/TDs with armor and rest of the map is place when you can get killed or get stuck easily (suicide zone). And in order to make sniping harder for TDs maps are reworked with the same logic, so they are sharing some features.

      • imo is pretty balanced. TDs and SPGs are doing very well there, HT (Maus, E100, the “big boys”) not as much, but there are way more maps where TDs and SPGs are useless. If you know what youre doing its quite a decent map to fight in :)

      • so you start aiming this thing not just shooting where ever , Good players will not gonna feel any difference but 42% ones will !!!!

          The point was to reduce the usage of such ammo…if that change will affect those 42% wr tomatoes I guess the goal was achieved, since they are a majority.

          • let’s only hope they do this to all GOLD ammo back in the days in 30-40 battles you get hit buy 1-2 gold round but now .. every 1-2 battles you get hit by a gold shot .. so not a good thing and is killing the game play …. just ask MOUS owners …

            • I’m a Maus owner, and I can tell you from experience that just shooting gold ammo is not enough to kill a Maus. A well angled Maus can bounce any kind of shell from any kind of tank, even gold shells from tier X TD’s. Even with gold you still have to flank a Maus to kill him.

              Also, back in the day, high tier tanks had 500-700 MM of pen with gold, that’s already been taken care of.

              • Well, a tier 10 TD can pen with gold ammo your turret cheeks even when they’re angled.

                And, nope, the only tank that had more than 400mm of pen, in the history of WoT, was the Object 268…
                Other tier 10s had from a range of 350 mm to 400mm.

                • JgpzE100 still has 420mm pen with HEAT, which is now after 268 nerf biggest pen in the game.

                • Except that they can’t, I mean sure, they do have enough pen to do it, but HEAT and APCR shells don’t work very well against angled surfaces, so even though they “could” get through the effective thickness of an angled Maus turret, their shells would still have issues with the angle of it.

    Did they say how it will work. If it is 7v7 for tier 6 or 8 tanks then even WJDE might find enough some days!

  5. “We were concerned it was slightly overpowerd” no shit sherlock? The whole line after Tier 7 is OP. Thats why you nerf all three of them. “The vehicle has become to popular” again..no shit? People tend to play the best/easiest/op tanks.
    Thats the reason, why no one plays the 2nd russian TD line, they are simply UP. Thats why you buff them…
    And for the FV, ofc they all shoot HESH, if you pen your shots you wont even loose money.
    I cant believe how long WG takes to nerf op tanks and still no word on kv1s split.
    oh yea and nerf Hellcat ofc

    • SU-100M1 was quite fun I played it as a medium without turret….and with these massive RoF buffs upcoming it will be even more deadly, SU-101 has massive DPM.

      • Its a very limited-use tank. But when it gets to roll – and if it shoots gold – damn Maus, RUN BITCH! :D

    But where’s the M48? It’s like worse than the M46 for its tier. At least the 46 have DPM, but what can a Patton do better than other T10s? View Range, which is neglected by its camo rating?

  7. M46 and VK 45.02 buffed because they weren’t touched for some time and become not competitive.

    Borsig is easy to spot? Maybe in battles with tier X.

    Kind of sad that there won’t be any mode to paly 15 vs 15 with tier VIII, only with tier X.

    Like this new format very much, in this way for example smaller clans with less active players can participate in it easier too.
    Can’t wait for stronkhold mode!

    Well what if my computer is not from 1999 (yes I make it up a bit) and I want to see them in HD and not only my tank?? That decission is poor from point of view, they do HD stuff and now they roll back just because of ?? They should make that optional……if someone cant run it (I can understand that many cant with that engine) they could let the player decide about it.

    • it just shows how braindead WG is. WoT runs perfectly on my rig at round about 40% res usage and i want to see all tanks in HD! why? because…i can do it ;) Make that thing optional is…not optional but a mandatory settings option.

      • I agree but maybe they only made some weird decission that is catched afterwards. The HD tanks are really really nice and I want to see them at all times.

    Really? You didn’t expect players to jump all over and abuse the crap out of an ammunition type that

    *Is nearly unbounceable
    *Can and does with regularity cause oneshots even vs heavies due to ridiculous penetration
    *Can and does with regularity cause massive damage even WITHOUT penetrating
    *And finally, due to being HE at heart, “splashes” the target and can cause significant module damage

    You’re telling me that nobody at the office at any point stopped and went “hey, you know, the common player might just load up on these instead of the comparatively underpowered AP rounds”?

    Just…goddamn : |

    • Even with all that the 183 avg`d over 300 games 770 DMG a shot for me. This is because you will get 300 rolls as much as 1 shots.

      So TBH in the way of RNG things go this was the only thing balancing this tank.

      Without HESH its worse than a JPZE100 in almost every way.

      Stock turret will now have a 252mm gun mantle, idk about the elite turret.

    WTF that thing is so hard to spot and increasing its RoF is just retarded 500 damage every what 10 seconds is just retarded, why don’t you add a teleporter while you’re at it or maybe a Laser cannon instead no difference to this piece of retarded crap that the Borsig is right now.
