Not much today.

- Storm confirms that the new 9.3 light tanks will come straight away as HD (some Russian player was claiming the tanks are in SD in videos)
- according to SerB, WT E-100 is not the worst thing invented by Germans, they had even weirder tanks (SS: of course it isn’t, since Germans didn’t invent it, WG did)

But if all goes well, you can look forward to some very interesting insider info tomorrow – after all, who wouldn’t want to see SerB raging? ;)

    The germans had plans for a gun like the 128 and 150 and for putting it on an E-100 as a big anti-aircraft gun. But there were no blueprints, only plans of it.

Well, there were some notes made by Allies on E-100 chassis that Germans might have planed to use the chassis also as self-propelled heavy FlaK emplacement, and the gun of WT E-100 looks too much like the 128mm FlaK gun (used on german FlaK towers)… IMHO the least historical thing on WT E-100 is gun elevation angle (too low) and the gun shield (it shouldn’t restrict vision and upwards movement)… so it might be 5% historical ;)

  10. Germans have a lot of ideas for AAA vehicles… even they plan add over turrets with 105-128 AAA guns miniturrets with twin 20-30mm AAA guns.

    Well, is normal, they face a lot of “predators” in low and middle ranges, is curious how other nations after war ignore a lot AAA movile defense for armored formations manportable AAA missiles were a gift of god for armored units.

    Germans build not one but TWO 80cm 1450 tons railway cannons, and planned to build an 1000+ tons tank too (Ratte), knowing this, the WTF E-100 is not that weird anymore.

      speaking that WT E100 is the worst is a joke :P

    • IIRC the Germans had a plan to build a tank by that description, without having the blueprints WG could making the tank as they please (Though I wish they didn’t add it) but that still makes it a German invention, they had the idea, they could have gone ahead and drawn plans for it.

  14. Speaking of 9.3, any hints of a new Tier 2 in super test? The golden joystick voting is the end of September, so if there’s going to be a gift tank it should show up in 9.3(9.4 would be to late).

    • Well, they still have a few unreleased premiums they could still use, if they’re so inclined… the Grosstraktor, SU-76i, and Ke-Ni Otsu are all readily available, and it’s not as if they’ve had an issue in the past gifting tier 3 tanks.

      Probably too much to hope for the SU-76i, it looks decent enough in TI to be a normal premium.

      The Ke-Ni Otsu would be an exceptionally bad gift, being a stock Ke-Ni with slightly faster reload and traverse speed (Cristie suspension) in exchange for nearly everything else being inferior, but still, it’s there.

      Großtraktor, stat-wise, is on the “ehhhhh” side of things, but it’s unique and, in my opinion, aesthetically likeable. Mounts the same miniderp as the PzIVA, which is annoyingly usable at that tier.

      My bet is on the Großtraktor, if nothing else surfaces.

      • Hmm, hopefully it’s not the Ke-Ni Otsu then. The other two do sound like fun though.

        I’d be pleasantly surprised if they gave out a tier 3, the only T3 gift tank I can remember was the LTP for Wargaming’s 40th birthday last summer. All of the others where T2s.
