New Fury Trailer

Hello everyone,

new Fury trailer appeared on the Sony Youtube channel – thanks to Dom1n for linking it to me. It’s okay I guess, but why does it look like fucking Star Wars, what’s with the blaster tracers and all?

    • Tracer ammunition can have various colors, just like any other fireworks.
Maybe in the movie they used different colors for German and Allied tracers to make it visible who’s shooting.
Or a cold color fits the evil Germans better :-D

      • It means Germans are good guys since Rebel Alliance small arms mostly had green tracers in Star Wars.

      • If I recall correctly, Germans used chemicals that made their tracers yellow, while it was the Soviets who had green tracers, although they were known to use some white tracers in aviation.
US loved their red/deep orange tracer compound, and I have no idea about the rest.

So in case of the movie…Germans using Soviet Star Wars ammunition, versus Rambo Star Wars Sherman :v

    • Well, George Lucas drew a lot of inspiration from WWII era Germany for the empire, and their lasers were green, and the rebels had red lasers. So… it looks like these guys just used Star Wars as a precedent, and copied the colors they used.

  1. bcoz no new star wars will come :P this is the pre story
fuck it give me the movie, usualy i dont watch 3 trailers of one film ..

  2. Why would he have the best gunner in the 9th army sat in the assistant drivers seat. Thatsbjust counter productive :-)

  3. David Ayer the director had some good movies such as Training Day, The first Fast and Furious and lately the awesome and brutal Patrol, but casting Shia LaBeouf is… Wow… I guess all the money went into Brad Pitt.. :/

And wtf is that Star Wars shit with the tracers lol :D :D

    • Tracers come in all sorts of colours, most people are use to seeing only the white/red/orange tracers from Hollywood, while German in WW2 as well as modern day Russians & China quite often used Green tracers. Japaneses Aircraft were also know for firing blue tracers during the late stages of the war.

    • Six tanks have HESH

Three of those have gold HESH

One of those can get a useful effect from it although since the nerf to 230 pen it is genuinely stupid to only bring HESH rounds.

The other two with gold HESH are the T9-10 british meds, if they manage to cause butthurt with gold HESH then GG to them, takes a lot more skill to use their premium rounds than their normal credit APCR.

  4. Some interesting backstory follows Shia LaBeouf which earned him quite alot of strange looks and ppl thought he went totaly crazy.

During the filming he stoped to shower and completly distanced himself from the filimg crew and actors. He almost never spoke except during his movie scenes. He also pulled by himself one teeth to get a better feel for his role and of the life in the trenches during WW2 (wtf? O_o)

Also during the filming the movie crew sent letters to the ppl from Shirburn, Pyrton and Watlington that there will be explosions and gun shots to hear.

For the movie all the leading actors participated in a military training camp

During the movie there was a almost lethal accident when a stuntman was stabbed by a real bayonet, but he thankfully survived and no charges were made coz it was an obvious accident.

  5. Shia LaBeouf (Groan) the guy sets my teeth on edge. Brad’s ok, and the guy from walking dead?

Anyway looks pretty but man those lasers the Americans and Germans had in WWII look awesome, I wonder why they stopped using lasers and went back to standard percussion firearms after WWII…

  6. At 0:04 isnt that the grenade explosion sound from CS Source? it is lol! and what the fk is with the Alien scream at the end of the trailer? oh God this is hilarious

  7. These aren’t blaster tracers, nor real ammo tracers – because they do NOT zig-zag when they fly . These are dark side of the Force emanations.

Somehow four tankmen didn’t have so much drama during their involvement in WW2. Probably because of the dog…
Oh, and their tank didn’t stop so conveniently after breaking the track, they have to put some effort to mend it again.

PS: lol, they seem to have abandoned the tank after breaking said track. No 12second repair for you, filthy capitalists!

  8. why the hell would they use such unrealistic sound model. World of tanks is stalinium stronk realistic so they should just use sound effects like cannons firing and explosions and especially the engine sounds… HELLAYES i just love those! and fuck orchestra, i want atmospheric world of tanks soundtrack original .. nothings better. at least they are all firing tracers, so arty can see them even if they haven’t been spotted

on a serious note: ty krávo! já myslel, že episoda 7 star wars má vyjít až přístí rok xD

  9. IDK why You guys get so upset about tracer rounds. And upgunned Sherman MAY handle a Tiger. However I still wonder whether West Front was such a bad place in a friggin APRIL ’45.

    • >surrender
      >cry a river
      >”I had no idea”
,,, get to live in Western Europ under the wings of Marshall Plan.

Now compare this with being “liberated” by the Red Army

  10. come on the tiger h is a tomato, mindless charge agaist a sherman, fails to pen it frontally and the gets flanked and die.

    • Big budget hollywood movie. It was always going to be a cringefest of cheese and Murrica! And the standard love story that gets jammed in the ass of every movie whether it’s needed or not.

  11. My guess for the “lasers” is the tracer rounds…US used red/orange tracers, Germans used yellow or green tracers. Since it looks like its only the machine guns, that does make sense…most machine gunners would load a tracer every 3-5 rounds, so they could use those marks for aiming.

  12. lol really, I didn´t expect that – tracers, well, Hollywood but red and green tracers that´s just a fucking luke skywalker yoda vader obiwan bullshit, still probably one of the few movies worth going to cinema for…

    • Nah, tracers come in all kinds of colors, as a tanker in OIF 1 we had red tracers the Iraqi Army had green, kind of felt like Star Wars. but yeah, they did Exaggerate the hell out of those tracers, they look to much like laser beams. They must of based it off of old GI Joe cartoons. :)

  13. SS,do you know when it arrives to Slovakia or Czech Republic ?
Edit: What happened to Test Server? The CT Server 1 completly off and CT server 2 is unable to connect

  14. Well, not only the tracers are funny, if you look carefully (with the pause button) a lot of stuff is unhistorical or unrealistic.
    1. different type shermans in one platoon (all 4 have different guns, one has different suspension)
    2. GI’s wear different uniforms, some have their whole kit with them (bedrolls etc.), some wear officercoats (with holes in it)
    3. tracers dont make a line, you will just see a fast dot moving. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PkK1ayxBMCo
    4. as in a lot of movies, military explosions dont smoke, or burn, that much, it would be a waste of energy. (compare it with roadside improvised bombs. It will be dusty, but no fires/flashed/pyrotechnics/white smoke) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m1pCwuoOGPQ
and thats just in a short trailer. Realism: 1, Historicalnessness: 1

  15. Damn did you see that track shot. Knocked the track pin cleanly right out.

this movie looks bad, just really bad

  16. It’s okay I guess, but why does it look like fucking Star Wars, what’s with the blaster tracers and all?

Because German’s are the empire and thus have turboLaser’s
