Some more Igromir stuff by Evilly (from a different source this time, from FTA VK page):

- there will be a new, unanounced mode, that will be the equivalent of “garage battles”
- free FV4202? Apparently, Evilly hinted at some sort of mission to get it
- individual missions (that SerB mentioned a year and a half ago) will appear soon
- it’s possible that the idea to stun the crew for 3-5 seconds when the vehicle is hit by a HE shell will be implemented when the HE shells are rebalanced
- Havok will come in 3-4 rounds, first rounds – beautiful destruction, round 2-3 is new motion physics and some other things

    • actually that would make HE finally useful, especially on low caliber!

      i for one found HE useless when gold rounds for credits were introduced,
      especially after the nerf.

      i now only use HE on derp tanks.
      the rest i’m putting a few shots of gold if things get heavy.

      • HE useless?

        I’ve taken out countless weakly armored tanks by switching to HE, knocking them out in fewer shells than if I used regular shells. Also, HE is useful when up against heavily armored turrets, doing some damage is better than not doing it. HE is also very useful when decapping, since you get a bigger chance at damaging the tank or modules.

        • HE against weakly armored tanks? what tier do you play?
          on the high tiers, HE shells can only penetrate what, the German WT tanks?

          on my FV4202, I don’t even carry standard HESH, only gold HESH, and even when I spot those WT tanks, I don’t switch to HESH right away to make sure I will have APCR loaded for when I can’t shoot the WT because of how difficult it is to get a good angle to pen anything else using the gold HESH, which has far better pen than standard HE.

    - Then some ideots can spam HE and keep the crews stuned a long time (since some tank reload fater than 5 sec), even if the HE makes little damage itself. A bad mechanic and disscourage the use of proper ammo to make damage and knock out modules and crews.

    • Cant belive people are that retarded to really think any low caliber he is always going to stun for 5s…

      Maybe they stun for like 0.5s?
      Or maybe Spall liner helps reduce the stuns or even negate them

    That’s the most dumb idea i’ve heard lately. Not only it will favor fast reloading guns to spam HE at a specific tank to stunt the sht of it, but also french autoloader arties will love it. Oh yes and the waffentragers TD’s will also enjoy this. Receive full damage, crew criticals and now stunned too.

    Anyway they said possible. WG said possible to alot of things to be implemented in-game for years.

    • You do know there are times when HE does nothing right? Small caliber guns vs crazy strong armor is not suddenly going to be any more effective, it’ just now when you do a roll that actually does critical hit, its going to be more helpful to the guy who otherwise would be doing 2….4…..25 damage to a target.

    • I sure do love it when people take something as vague as “we’re considering making HE stun” and then run off with their crazy crackpot idea of how it will be ridiculously OP.

      Wargaming.net may not be a perfect company but they are competent game designers. There are a number of ways they could implement this without it being complete bullshit, so don’t get your knickers in such a twist.

      Honestly I like the idea. I would rather arty do way less damage and stun my crew than simply taking out my tank entirely with one lucky shot to the engine deck.

  5. The “stun your crew” shit happened in WT and It sucks. It is really annoying and although it may be “realistic”. It takes away any hint of tactics in the game.

    Caller – “Why did you stop pushing!”
    Player- “Well my driver is asleep for another 6 seconds………………………………”

    And of coarse in WoT.. 6 seconds of not moving means Arty takes a shit on you. Love having arty in game, but with arty the stun thing would be horrible.

    • Did you know that your tank is still running, loading, shooting, even if you lose a crew member, only less efficiently?

      • But if all members die, expect a big fucking loss in performance specialy on slow tanks that have everything “slow” like traverse, aimtime, reload, turret traverse, etc. This is a nerf for slow heavy tanks as always. Not only are they cannon fodder for mediums, TDs, light and arty. But now render useless for 5-10 seconds by noob cunts shooting HE.

    • Quite frankly, even if each shell in a batchat stuns the crew for 3 seconds, if you load HE with it rather than AP/APCR, I will consider you very, very dumb.

      Why perma stun and do maybe, MAYBE 600 damage total, when you can just use AP/APCR to do actual damage?
      Especially on a tank with such low amounts of ammo like the bc25t

      The only tank in which this could be even remotely considered a problem would be the Waffle E100 with the 150mm.

  8. I’m getting sick of these fv4202 posts, I grinded my way up there last year before the first reports came online that it might be replaced someday. I feel cheated if I don’t get any compensation whatsoever, I mean I spent weeks getting that tank, what if I don’t like the Action X?

      • Dude I spend multiple weeks grinding that tank, and yes it was because I liked it on the test server. What is this macho super crap everytime I post something? I don’t wan’t to lose the tank I like. Those stupid missions are only attainable by either people with no life or very good players, which i am neither.

  9. Wohoo, WG finally started to cater to HE-spamming E-100s. Now they will actually rape your tank with autoaimed 5 second “fuck you” followed by the focus of every player in the team!

    Name me one change that doesn’t benefit terrible players the most? That’s right, there’s NONE.

      No, they won’t. purples will load HE too, for the first shot, after which they’ll rape you with AP/CR – so you have the difference in skill again.

      • Thing is, guns reload 10-20 seconds on high tiers so a single player won’t benefit from this at all. On the other hand, the 200wn8 E-100 idiots will now become a mortal threat – get hit by one = get hit by everyone else in the 5 seconds “stun” = back to garage.

        • True, that is a game changing OP mechanic and will punish active players and buff those using HE. This will totaly change the gameplay specially when brawling.

  11. I wonder if we will have 3 states of crew health as opposite to 2 we have now.

    At this moment we have either a healthy crew member or injured one, outlined in yellow.

    A stunned status could be something in between. And then we would have green healthy one, stunned yellow, and injured red. Perhaps being stunned would mean less impact on the tank’s efficiency than being injured.

    I also expect HE stun chance and/or duration linked to the size of the shell, balancing out small fast firing guns. On the other hand tanks that would fire HE by default, especially with very big guns (arty of course, but also SU-152, derp 105mm tanks, for example) might end up a bit more annoying to anyone on the receiving end.

    • I think there are dead crew members too, I heard in game of injured and “killed the x crew” member

    KV-2 players are rubbing there hands in glee and i am one of them :P 152 mm HE shell would do more than stun them they would Sh*t them selfs stunned

    Didn’t they said that Havok doesn’t have to do anything with new motion physics and that those two are separate? Btw the thing with HE/HESH stunning/disabling crew is another horeshit directed by WG to cater retards.

      • Not moving of objects on tanks, motion physics are for the way the tank moves/turns/leans on one side or frontally when turns or stops, the way it interracts with the terrain, falling on its side/top when falling of bridges

  16. I dont like the stunning idea… but something new would be nice… like:
    –> crew panic… here they could use thouse 3-5 seconds

    + lets say that 152mm HE hits your tank and deals 400 dmg to your tank.
    And now the panic effect activates and causes 50% crew skill loss for 6s
    +or lets say 75mm HE hits this very same tank and deals 20 dmg… here effect of panic gets activated for 0.5 s and causes 10% skill loss (or something)

    You get the idea….
    -stun is total bullshit
    -panic is real and person under stress/ with panick attack cant think rationally and work as good/ fast as normally

  19. I still dont get what is wrong with the current AP ammo. Aim proper and use thet perk thingy to damage crews and modules. I use that perk and 90% of the time I always damage crews and modules. And I dont need any fucking OP HE and HESH amo for doing that,.

  21. This will be used as a advnatage, first shoot HE and then AP and the poor sucker will get a delay for a couple of seconds. Fast mediums swítching to HE to stun your crew making you useless for 3 sec….huh bad game mechanics. Why the fuck would the crew get stuned, and not if you for example ram them or shoot a 105mm AP round in the hull? Lol, just fucking lol hope WG removes this retarded idea. Regular HE still today knock out guns and crews despite making less damage.

    • Don’t be a dipstick obviously it won’t work like that.

      Even without penetrating explosives can stun and incapacitate crew members as basically a large shockwave goes through it (imagine sticking your head in a bell, whilst someone was hitting it with a hammer).

      AP you don’t get this effect (as much). Ramming is a candidate for stunning as you’d get a shock if 50tons rammed into you, but probably not good for gameplay.

      I think people are getting confused over the word stun, they don’t mean you wont be able to do anything for 3 seconds, it means your crew effectiveness will be reduced for 3 seconds.

  22. This whole stun idea is a shit joke. Taking control away from the player is a shitty idea to start with, then to think that they will get it right on the first go is ignorance. How many things has WG fucked up and turned around and gone “we’ll thats not how we wanted it” and taken something out, reworked it, taken it out, reworked it, then dropped it all together. I don’t want to deal with 6 months or a year of them trying to rebalance HE mechanics so they can twiddle with stun locking people or stupid shit like that. Its NOT a sim, lets add realistic elements, it’s an arcade game, this should be just like in real life! Ok WG, which is it and how little can you fuck up trying to change it?
