Regarding the IM “rigging”, that took place (the rigging post from earlier), I recieved a letter from that clan’s diplomat M4Karabine, who apologized for the incident. The players who participated were punished for their rigging attempts by their clan. Now that is something I can respect.

- “more than 20″ tanks in HD will come in 9.7
- Q: “War Thunder has different gun elevations on tanks than WoT!” A: “I really don’t care what gun elevation WT has.”
- T28 TD will be replaced by an “early” T95 prototype, which will visually be quite similiar to the current T28
- alternative hulls will come after most tanks are reworked to HD
- T-34-3 buff? “We’ll have a look.”
- top gun of the LTTB LT doesn’t have rifling inside the barrel, it’s a bug
- in 9.6 test 2 there are also some mild hangar visual bugs
- the feature where the more battles you have on the tank, the more “worn” it would look (rusty, dirty) will not be implemented
- modern camouflages (such as the Berlin Brigade one for the British) are not planned for PC WoT
- serverside replays will in distant future (SS: IIRC, this was first announced in 2013… oh well)
- it’s possible that Havok will initially be implemented to affect only tanks (SS: as in, various junk falling off the tank when hit, without the realistic destruction part)
- on Russian server, the names of players participating in rigged IM battles will be published, but replays of the battles will not be made public in order “not to teach the audience how to misbehave”

Once upon a time, there was an asshole. He roamed the comment section of various FTR posts, spamming the comments with insults (some pretty vulgar ones too). In order not to be recognized, he used a very original nickname Siemka. The poor thing however was not very smart and registered the troll account with an e-mail he tied to his Facebook profile.

And so, I had a good chuckle and banned the asshat a few days ago and thought the matter closed. Until today. You see, Edrard, the owner of wot-news.com and a friend of mine got two letters today, both from the same IP address: 95.42.68.141, both from “concerned citizens”, telling Edrard to “clean you shit and put him in his place” (direct quote).

After me and Edrard had a good laugh about it, I thought of looking up the address, whether it’s some “old friend” returning – and voila, it’s the stupid asshole I banned a few days back and already forgot about. Furthermore, the second e-mail was from the SAME address he used to spam FTR comments with, hashat12@hotmail.com, introducing himself as “Nikola” in the first e-mail and “BonchoSloncho from EU server” in the second one.

Tried pasting that e-mail to Facebook, as I did before.

It led to the “Nikola Nikolov” profile from Varna (the profile was made non-public or deleted a few minutes ago), with “McDonalds staffmember” listed as his employment.

Well, I didn’t expect a rocket scientist, but this is pretty funny :) So, BonchoSloncho, I really suggest you stay away from FTR from now on and to the rest of you… good night :)

  1. Good story Uncle SilentStaker; good to see some action is being taken against idiots in WoT, if not by WG but by other WoT related sites :) PS. More funny stories please :)

    • The advantage of server-side replays is that you can see the whole battle instead of just what the recording player saw (and you can simulate what each player saw if you want). Also, no lag-related glitches.

      • Considering, in a few months’ worth of play, I delete 3-4 gigabytes’ worth of replays, I don’t think server hosted replays are a good idea…

        • I don’t know how many matches per day there is, but considering there is only one recording per ~30 client-side matches, and huge server storage, it is definitely within reason. Whether WG ‘genius’ programmers can work it out any time soon is obviously a different, more significant roadblock.

  4. Well, if they actually have twenty HD tanks per patch, I will give WarGaming some respect. If they actually do I mean but we know how WarGaming roles.

    • They were developing a process of “mass producing” HD models. It was said that it will go slowly at first and should pick up the pace later. I guess they got it working as they planned. We will probably see even bigger batch of tanks in HD after that.

    So, WarGaming gives you missions to accomplish – and if you actually try your hardest to complete those missions, they’re going to punish you for it?…

    If you don’t want Mission Players ruining the game for everyone else – DON’T IMPLEMENT MISSIONS WHICH CAN ONLY BE ACCOMPLISHED BY NEGATIVELY AFFECTING GAMEPLAY!

    • They punish you if you do it in a non-legit manner, as they should do. And by the way, people use to have results that surpassed these mision requirements before IM’s were introduced. The fact that people became obsessed with furfilling them ASAP is not WG’s fault.

    • They dont give a damn about negative gameplay, its when people from the same clan go into battles on the opposite team, e.g. the heavies on the video before, to complete a mission that they ban them. Setting up a battle, and having other purposely bounce, is what they are banning

    This is such fucking bullshit, there only 2 T28/T95 were built and they were the goddamn prototypes. And also they were only ever armed with the 105mm T5E1 gun.

    shame… it could be nice feature along the lines of customizing your own tanks to have the feel they are special.

      • Let’s not go into extremes.
        But a bit of worn out, gradually “deepening” look would be nice recognition of your efforts and times put in the particular tank, don’t you think?

      • Learn to aim. The front is mainly 203mm, and the tumors are present, and the sides are made of cookie dough. It’s outclassed by the T28 Prototype, which is amusing, and the Ferdinand is a completely better tank.

    • The SS soldiers were mostly nazis. The regular army corps however where not.
      My great grandfather was SS and a nazi and thought some quite bad things. He joined in 1939 when he was 17 and fought all the way to stalingrad where he got shot in the kidney and sent to a gulag which he survived amazingly. I respect him for surviving all that but i do not respect what he thought or did.

      Anyone who fights in a war deserves some kind of respect no matter what side they were on or what they thought.

        Note that Conflict does not necessarily mean war. It includes anything from a quarrel to a fistfight, from intense Anime-style rivalry to a drunk pub brawl (pun intended).

    • Don’t worry I get that feeling. The Thais told me that they’re partially sorry for some of the boxtext-555+ tards. Besides, Viets are worse than your average “Siemka idiot”. They don’t english, and most run on a potato-battery brain. I actually find these “siemka idiots” quite amusing as an asian. Normally you don’t see that much…”lively chatter” in a SEA server, where the ones who can english are mostly Singaporeans, Malays, and Indonesians.
