  1. on unrelated note.

    drive e-25 on test.
    press H. (or Y, i dont remember)

lo and behold – hydraulic suspension.
testing on e-25. will not go on live servers.
    will be implemented on e-10.

  2. Its sort of blurry but is that a PLA Red Star on that RoC built Type 64? Jeeez, there are going to be some angry Taiwanese people…

      • They’d risk offending the mainland chinese market if they allowed the Republic of China insignia on pre-PROC and taiwanese tanks. Though it really shouldn’t be that hard to implement ROC logos for the other servers if they could do it for the M10 and Leopard I.

        • I’d just create a client-side mod for that (after 8.8 comes around of course, since the file format will be different) that changes the PRC Red Star to the ROC White Sun if I were you. That way we can avoid the political shitstorm while allowing people who want an ROC emblem on their tanks to do so without catching flak for it.

        • Alternatively, maybe WG could implement on the Chinese tree (on the NA, PAC, EU and RU servers) an option to swap the emblem on your tanks between the PRC Red Star and ROC White Sun at will. Problem solved.

  3. The tank looks great and I’m definitely interested in buying. No fan of “scout” tanks but I might make an exception here.

Why would they be angry? World of Tanks displays national emblems, not province emblems. Why would a tank produced in Bavaria have Bavarian logo instead of German logo? US tanks produced and designed in Texas or Montana don’t have emblems of those states. They have American emblem.

Same thing here. Taiwan is a Chinese province so it’s normal that those tanks have Chinese emblem instead of province emblem. There is no need to overcomplicate things. Sure, they had different logo historically but it’s a game, not a simulation.

    • Because Taiwan obviously consider themselves to be and independent country of china that’s why.

In china Taiwan is considered a rouge Chinese state so they would find it offensive to have the ROC symbol on the tank. While In Taiwan it would be offensive to have a PLA symbol on there as they consider themselves independent to china.

      Geez its not rocket science.

    • well…
if you can go to Taiwan one time
you will find that Taiwan is TOTALLY NOT a Chinese province

      that all

    • >Same thing here. Taiwan is a Chinese province so it’s normal that those tanks have Chinese emblem instead of province emblem.
The problem is that from the Taiwanese prospective it’s the old emblem of the Republic of China the real emblem of China.

      • *perspective*, fuck the false friends, Britons really played a nice joke to us speakers of Romance languages when they got all those words from Old French.

  5. “if you can go to Taiwan one time

I don’t need to go to Taiwan to know that it’s a Chinese province. I can look on the map, and look how other countries treat Taiwan. They all recognize One China.

Sure, today Taiwan is still not de facto part of China, thanks to US protectorate over the island. But that will change too. Mao said that China can wait up to 100 years on Taiwan.

  6. “Because Taiwan obviously consider themselves to be and independent country of china that’s why.”

Actually, they don’t. They consider themselves China. Difference being, they consider their government has the right to rule all of China, and not CCP.

There is no such thing as “independent country of Taiwan”, even Taiwan government doesn’t claim that.

    • Taiwan considers them being real China, because they are. PRC is that part of real China occupied by reds, a commie marionette country.

  7. I am a mainland Chinese and i do believe Taiwan to be part of China but i rather they put in the appropriate Historical emblem (White sun blue sky) or at least the option to change the existing emblem to the historical one.

  8. I am Taiwanese who proposed the tank to WG. I am happy that they made it, at least ONE tank from the tree I gave them (look them up in FTR). Type is a Nationalist Chinese tank, and it should have the Nationalist emblem on, same goes to the tier 1 to 4 ROC tanks. This is historical, not political.
And politically, Taiwanese “blue sky – white sun” emblem is the national emblem for all China, that is what the Nationalist Chinese government claimed. For the Taiwanese, it should be “One day we will be back and save our brother and sisters from commie hands,” instead of Tibetian “we want to be independent from China.”

  9. As I recall, I think it was said that in ChinaWOT the countries don’t have real life names, They’re just “Faction A”,” Faction B”, “Faction C” and so on, apparently this allows the devs to safely skirt any issues like this.

  10. Looks a lot like the Hellcat and Jackson, dat turret. Tbh the only part that looks different is the front hull
