Interesting history about the Rudy tank. It was this tank that spawned the rumors on Russian forums about the Polish branch coming up soon (it’s not) and this being its first premium. From the POV of (former) EU tree development, I knew that this was not the case (first “European” premium will be something quite different). The way it will be implemented – I think it’ll get a special Polish crew “Fury style” (the names of the crewmen from the TV series), although it will technically still be Soviet.

Oh yes, and according to Russian leakers, the tank will be the T-34/85 of the post-war Polish production (T-34/85M2 model IIRC).

- oddly enough, the E-100 inside of the gun barrel model (the rifling) is only like 20cm long, while IS-7 rifling model runs through the entire barrel. Storm states it’s just a little thing, so who cares.
- the size of the HD E-100 changed as such: it became 1cm longer, 1cm wider and 3cm taller
- the color of the HD E-100 is correct (same as of other HD German tanks), will not be changed
- differences in model sizes from original specs of 1 percent or less are considered acceptable
- E-100 mantlet in HD was remodelled to correspond the one in Panzer Tracts
- HD E-100 “bar” on the top of the turret (rangefinder optics) will be made lower (the same as it was)
- HD E-100 upper front plate angle is actually better than it should be (63 degrees compared to 60 degrees in reality), it will not be nerfed to historical specs
- E-100 will not get a (historical) Maus turret

      • how could there be so many mistakes with the e-100???

        they gave it that small upper plate section (fake), they made the bar on the turret bigger and then smaller again, they messed up the rifling…

        and what makes the e100 getting a maus turret historical? historical is the e100 having no turret…

        • That small upper plate section isn’t fake. Although on the real one it got gradually thinner, it wasn’t just smaller overall.

  1. In fact, as a Rudy used few tanks. Two or more (two 100%).
    If you check movie, you can see two 102 Rudy with different details, different markings etc.

      • Yep, in the book it was T-34/76, then T-34/85, in movie it was only T-34/85, simply because it was easy to get T-34/85s, not so much with T-34/76. And they used in total 3 different tanks for filming, one more was cut out for filming shots inside IIRC.

        • Yeah it was T-34/76 first and then T-34/85. Thats why its FOUR tankers, 76 had four crewmembers while 85 should have five.

          • Well, in real life some T-34-85 haven’t radio operator. Radiostation relocated to commander anyway, bow MG in fact almost useless. He can fire to nothing :)

            We are talk with SU-152 commander few months ago. As you know, SU-152 have 5 members crew. But he talk – sometimes they fight in gunner/commander, driver, loader, co-loader team, sometimes gunner/commander, driver, loader.

    • In reality it’s not Maus turret.
      Initial E-100 drawing – it’s Tiger-Maus drawing with Adler suspension. Tiger-Maus with december 1942 – january 1943 design of turret. Real turret have different construction.
      New turret design was done already in march 1944. In BAMA located file RH8-3276 with Bz 3276 drawing, march 1944. Sole survived drawing with Maus II turret. E100 drawing dated winter 1944. Drawing with obsolete Tiger-Maus turret :)

      • Maybe you can show us some of this drawings and most importantly, the differences between them?

        • Early design:
          - commander’s turret (eliminated in 1943);
          - hatch for gun removing in turret rear plate (replaced in 1943 to ammo loading hatch);
          - viewing deviced on the turret sides (eliminated in early 1943);
          - early design of gun mantlet;
          - early design of hatches on the turret roof;
          - early design of sight cover;
          - 15 cm KwK L/30 (finally replaced to 12,8 cm KwK in spring 1943);
          - no coaxial machinegun (added in 1943).

  2. The tiny mantlet and the increased size of the turret makes it a really nice giant place to easy spam HEAT or pen it with T10 TD guns.

    Before it was tricky to pen E-100 turret due to the big mantlet which was a shell absorber and the tiny cheeks. Now it’s one giant hit me here.

  3. oddly enough, the E-100 inside of the gun barrel model (the rifling) is only like 20cm thick, while IS-7 rifling model runs through the entire barrel
    you mean long?

    • “gold shell” of the tank will be the Dog running under enemy tanks and detonate them

    • All-dog crew will be available soon as part of super-personal missions (can be completed only in a platoon…)

  4. Great, so after the T34-85M we get another variant that will be an almost exact clone of the original.

  5. ” oddly enough, the E-100 inside of the gun barrel model (the rifling) is only like 20cm long, while IS-7 rifling model runs through the entire barrel. Storm states it’s just a little thing, so who cares.”

    Yeah, it’s just a german tank so who gives a shit ? Dumbass.

    • Do you even look trough a gun to notice how long is the rifling?…
      You can’t even see any shit apart from the beginning of the rifling since they blackened the gun barrel hole.

      As long as I can’t see any shit apart from that, I’m with Storm on it…who cares…

  6. Still love how the germans built more Maus prototypes that E-100 prototypes, with the latter being probably even more efficient. For the record: None of those are efficient, the Tiger II was already borderline.

  7. E-100 will not get a (historical) Maus turret

    Why? Didnt Wargaming say the want historicall acuracy?

    • All German tanks must be historical unless it benefits them too much.
      All Russian tanks must be historical unless it doesn’t benefit them at all.

      More seriously, WG has always approached vehicles that were actually completed and fielded as being more historically focused, while tanks like the E-100 which was never even fully prototyped can be balanced as they see fit. There are exceptions here and there – I’m sure SerB still wants to put the D-25-T on the historical failure IS-4, but it is what it is. Wargaming isn’t always consistent and they’ll just do what the always do and do whatever they want.

      • yeah, that leaves me wondering… WHY THE HELL IS THERE A D-25-T ON A TIER 10??? like sure it’s historical, but why is the IS-4 a tier 10 then???

    • The turret is the only thing the Maus has over the e100. It would be a balance issue.the E100 is near noob proof and very forgiving adding a better turret would make it more so.anyone who cries Russian bias should be backhanded hard enough their tin hats fall off, because they’re doing it to save the maus.

  8. ” the size of the HD E-100 changed as such: it became 1cm longer, 1cm wider and 3cm taller”

    Ohnoninjanerf! Now everyone will be able to hit my sneaky E-100…

  9. … little bit off topic, but can you sell your tanks now? I mean just right now? Because i was to sell Challenger in order to buy Charioteer, but i CANT SELL ANY TANK…(last time i sold tank was week ago and it worked fine). But now when i open depot window and select the tank i want to sell (no matter which tank, i tried various tanks), the tank/sale window always disappears after 2 seconds!!! WTF WG, (im not using any mods, never seen this before), what did u screw up this time…omg that sucks:/

    • Ok i just checked EU wot forum and its full of complaints about the same thing i wrote above (posted today). F U WG, how did u f* up something like that??? No solution yet..

  10. “- oddly enough, the E-100 inside of the gun barrel model (the rifling) is only like 20cm long, while IS-7 rifling model runs through the entire barrel. Storm states it’s just a little thing, so who cares.”

    …well, unless the situation is wildly different overseas, you can probably get this sort of thing corrected by the modeler for free, seeing as it’s their fuckup.

    But I mean, yea, who cares. Aside from E-100 drivers, and anyone caring about their tank models looking right. I’m sure the complaining won’t continue until you’re forced – way after any grace period – to shell out additional money to have it fixed so people will shut up.

    For the record, I don’t have an E-100, or really care if the barrel rifling is 100% correct on all tanks; I won’t be the one looking down it, after all. I just think it’s stupid that something so minor and easily corrected (seeing as it’s still in testing and the final hasn’t been pushed) probably won’t be fixed because “who cares”~

  11. “The way it will be implemented – I think it’ll get a special Polish crew “

    Polish/Georgian. The driver was Grigorij Saakaszwili. :-)

  12. “…although it will technically still be Soviet.” Well technically it was Soviet. The whole damn show was so red it makes me sick when I watch it today. It remains mystery to me, why I used to enjoy the series as a kid… Tanks I think.

    • I still like it. I laugh at the propaganda…. I ve noticed some real issues with people taking stuff too seriously. Enjoy the show, rofl at the propaganda. At least it gives the younger generation a hint about what kind of brainwashing we where subject to.

      • I wrote my comment before the first coffee, hence the hate. You are right, we should show the younger generation what the propaganda does to people and why it is bad.

        On the other hand, the show was exceptionally well made! I wish the contemporary Polish movies were that good.

  13. If they’re willing to do the Rudy tank… I wonder how WG feels about the Skirted King Tiger from Panzer-88 ?
