Welcome on the new FTR

As was written on the old one, there are a few changes:
- in order to comment, you need to register. This is to prevent spam (it was tested before without this measure, just with captcha – there were 12 spam comments within 30 minutes. I really can’t deal with that on regular basis).

- if you don’t see any adsense banners despite the fact you have Adblock disabled, it’s because there are none, the will come in a week or two.

- RSS feed – sorry, Edrard said there is not much we can do ATM, we’ll have a look at it a bit later

- “wot-news.com banned at my workplace” – sorry, that’s another thing I really can’t do much about. It is what it is.

  1. Why can’t I take part in the poll, even though I’m logged in?
BTW, I appreciate your work and also the movement of your site to the new location.

  2. I don’t get this: “It’s blocked where I work.” Why is that?

    • People having wot-news domain blocked at work by their filters i guess.

  3. Congratulations on securing the partnership with WoT-News, always appreciated the translations and the only real news source.

  4. OK, i get what’s wrong: sidebars are fixed with and when zooming in/out the site, center area is fixed width too – so with font size change, line length change too (and polls, and other side features get moved to bottom too). Try to fix this in some way if possible.

Also, i don’t like that sidebars are just fixed background, on your former blog they moved when scrolling.

    • PS: mistaken once again: they are not fixed width but somehow they fuck up zooming anyway. Definitely whole site is fixed width.

  5. hmm, didnt change a lot, although i find it quite hard atm to distinguish between your articles…would be great if you could change the colour of your headline and if you could use font sizes not that similar to the headline :D

but anyway, just an idea to make the site less confusing ;)

  6. Well, what can I say.Congratulations.

The interface is really cool, almost like the blog one, but I need some time to get used too.

Bookmarked the main page already. :D

  7. “RSS feed – sorry, Edrard said there is not much we can do ATM, we’ll have a look at it a bit later”

Either he is bloody fast or the RSS icon was there all the time :)

  8. Hello,
Bookmark added! Good luck and keep up good work! I will follow this blog till I will play WoT. And maybe some more. Some tanks articles was really nice.

  9. The funny thing is, blogspot.com is banned in China (where I live in). Luckily we had Google to help us get around that “Great Firewall”.

    • I really appreciate your work. I hope the deactivation of my ABP will help you out a little, since i visit this place five time a day!

  10. “- if you don’t see any adsense banners despite the fact you have Adblock disabled, it’s because there are none, the will come in a week or two.”

with DSL-Light and 50/9 kbs (down/up – germany … some 3rd world countries have better inet) my adblock will stay enabled.

Otherwise good luck to you SS!

  11. Comments look better, but the mobile version is either disabled or does not work as well as it did on the blogspot host.

    • Also, I have no problem with the registration requirement, as I had planned all along on registering somehow….. eventually, haha.

  12. This light grey font color makes my eyes flow out. Pleeease switch it to normal black color.

  13. some needs to need to change the background color and text color, hared to reed

  14. Are you going to link any of the old content over here, or at least link to the old site for the archives? Some of those articles are pretty good, I wouldn’t want to miss them. I know I reference the one on possible German autoloaders transferred from the Luftwaffe a lot.

  15. First off: Thank you for this fabulous news service! It is simply the best!

Upon leaving the old forum, you wrote that on this one, there would be only shorter “preambles” in the main thread, that we would have to click to read each article in full. Personally, I thought that was great news! That would provide a good overview. Scrolling my fingers off on my smartphone, to find where I last left off, is also pretty awkward.
Is this something that will come?

    Regards,
    Dyme
