This is the new Soviet tier 10 medium tank for the Object 416 branch. It will come with the same gun as T-62A and Object 140. It is scheduled to appear in patch 8.10 apparently.

The whole nose has the same armor. Not that it means anything really, no tank will ever bounce on it except for the weird high angle shots.
You’d be surprised what T-54 can bounce with it’s plain 120mm angled armor. Of course it’s not a reliable protection but given it’s agility, lucky bounces happen here and there.
look at the e50. it has steep angles and had 120mm armour. it could bounce things that people were not expecting to bounce.
E-50 got buffed to 150mm ufp at 60 degrees and 100mm lower.
Used to be 120mm uniform and it would reliably bounce 225mm pen guns with a bit of angle.
the 100mm lower is now epickly weak especially considering the size of the LG
I think that’s a 60 degree slope, just like on 121, so it should occasionally ding. But I sincerely hope it will not be another copypaste. They should consider reducing it’s RoF compared to T-62A, which I consider marginally OP.

121 can’t hit a lot of lfp because of terrible depression.
I consider T-62A, Obj 140 a bit OP too – too much RoF.
same with T-54, although I consider it more OP than the other two.
How is T-54 OP? If you can’t kill that tank 1 on 1 it’s your problem.
How about the 330 HEAT PEN combined with fast RoF, great agility and good armor. “Immune” and nice sloped 120mm armor.
T-54 is supposed to be a FLANKER with low pen. Now the stat padders just troll around with full HEAT loadout and kill tanks frontally with ease.
That tank is currently one of the most OP tanks in the game. Don’t try to act fool and say it isn’t.

I don’t use gold shells so I can’t say anything about that.

My initial reaction was, and stays: “meh” . I know there are no other candidates available and I’m sorry to repeat the same thing: Do we really need another T-62/Object 140 ? There are differences between them, sure, Obj. 430 sports more armour than T-62 and all that, but what bothers me the most is the gun. After playing E-50 and WZ-120 I feel like 320 damage doesn’t cut it any more, but I guess these tanks are meant for flanking, in which case the turret comes in handy. When the choice comes which one of these I will play, It will be tough to choose from though :D all look badass, My fav is obj. 140 – dem roadwheels!
You can stop on tier IX of this branch as it will be a lot different than other meds of it’s tier.

320 avg. only does not “cut it” if you play peek-a-boom with tanks with higher alpha…
In Soviet MT you either trollbounce shot off turret and shoot enemies, circle/sidehug enemy to death, or trade 2-3 shots for one.

What most people dont realize is that tank development from the late 40s onward moved towards exactly the t54 style tanks. There was a lot less variety as the cold war moved on.
Pics or it didn’t happen.
Them’s the breaks with the postwar tanks. People had actually figured out the basic working patterns and tended to stick to them.
You want serious variety, stick to the earlier generations designed when the armies and engineers were still making educated guesses in the dark.

Ther will be a new tier 9 too. Object 430V2. Object 140 will stay as it is.

Yes, Obj 140 isn’t really part of the current Obj 416 branch, as indicated by its position below the T-62A instead of in-line. I’m no expert, but I think the 416 line is mostly designed by Morozov Design Bureau (like most Soviet mediums), and the 140 is by Kartsev-Venediktov Design Bureau (like the T-62).

Because the Soviets put the 100mm’s into the mediums and the 122mm’s into the heavies, live with it. Also had a lot to do with the classes’ respective job descriptions and ammo loads.

When will the Object 140 get its own line if A-43, A-44, and Obj. 416 will end with Obj. 430 V2 and Obj. 430? Any ideas what tanks might appear there?

because obj.140 are a further development of T-54, so it’ll stay there after T-54

T-64 has -6 elevation… not sure if this predecessor with a different gun would be the same.
Some in Russian forum said it will be -5, not sure true or false.

No. The 416 like will get this and the v2 of it as the t9 an t10 of that line and the current link from the 416 to the t-54 will probably be removed. The T-54 to both the T-62A and the Obj 140 will stay as it is now.

It’s not a premium tank. It’s a reward tank which you can get through CW. And it doesn’t earn as much money as premium tanks.

Anyone player the “weird” soviet mediums? Are they fun? I think i will give em a try after the WT E100 grind :) I Already have t62 and 140 so… why would anyone grind entire branch just to get more of the same! This tank must be really OP to make people grind for it. (or pay gold)
I hated the A43. Hated the A44 but by the end I wasn’t sure I would sell it( I did tho and don’t regret it). The 416 is fun, great gun and stealthy. No gun depression on the A44 and 416 tho of course.
Expect many engine fires on the A44, and dont be fooled thinking it has amour.
I really enjoyed the A43, was sad to sell it. the A44 I find difficult, however…
regarding the Obj 430: the gun baffle looks different to that on the Obj 140, it looks (a bit) thicker than the Obj 140. Is it certain it’s the same gun? If it is, why is the model (slightly) different?

I guess all this is a buff to active clan wars participants that would have more tanks as the tanks are locked when you die, and the t62a is a popular participant in clan wars, some more copy-paste of the same platform really allows players to have more tanks (i.e. to die more) and not be “locked” out of clan wars due to lack of machines to play. If a player is active and dies a lot he may lose as much as 14 tanks in a week, and there aren`t really 14 good CW tanks atm, and some of them are not suited for certain maps.

How can I be the only one that sees that this tank CLEARLY is mounting the 122mm M62 in the picture? How has no one else pointed this out in the comments? Seriously? There doesn’t need to be a “placeholder” gun, as if it was using the 100mm from the other tanks they’d just use that straight away.
This really really looks like the 122 M62. Not to say that it -IS- that gun, but it sure as hell looks like it.
