That’s nothing, my old teacher said, that he saw agricultural tractors made from old (probably T-55) tanks in the Soviet Union.
Those things plowed the ground down to 1 meter depth, it was ~2 Celsius, but under the surface the soil was still frozen.
That’s nothing. In early 60′s in Czechoslovakia, one Bergepanther was converted by installing the T-34 V-2 engine and served as a tractor on a farm…

I haven’t seen anything like an agricultural tank, and I really want to see one.
IIRC it was this vehicle, but there is no photo of it “in action”, only a mention of its fate.
A good friend(age of 86) of my father,who lived in Australia for 5 years in the 50′s,told me,that in that time there were big markets where you could buy old army stuff for pocket money. He said that there were small arms(Colts,Thompsons,Lee Enfields) and even vehicles on sale too. You could buy Matildas and Shermans and even Spitfires and Hurricanes (WTF?!). And the farmers have bought almost every tank,they cut off their turrets and used the hull for farmer-work. That could be impressive.
This isn’t tank but engineering machine on tank chassis. This thing is made to tow things around, nothing wrong on the video.
There is nothing wrong with it – but usually you don’t see military ARV towing a truck around. At least not here :)
Well, try to tow that truck with something else… Might be a bit too slippery for most of vehicles.
Maybe try Kamaz.
A Mercedes truck driver said in an interview after the Dakar:
“No wonder they won again. They made the road for us.”
He referred to the section, where most of the trucks stalled, but the Kamaz braked through the 1m high sand.

Well, those trucks are designed for Siberia… A little desert is like highway for them :D
Anyway, Kamaz nerfed themselves when they tried to use the T-90′s engine.
It destroyed the transmission, so they lost.
Next year they tried titanium transmission, but even that could not bear the power of the engine.
Might be an extreme option, but hey, its Russia….Look at what they use for tow trucks….
this is common option , but mostly on truck , every anti chemical unit in warshaw pact have one – its used for fast cleaning vehicles from various chemical stuff
