Weekly FTR Contributor Review

Hello everyone,

first and foremost, sorry for the delayed contributor review, I was waiting for the Patreon to process the pledges to have it all at once – and today marks the fourth time the Patreon subscription got successfully used, thank you all!

Out of the 1567,1 USD pledged at that point:

- 387,09 USD came in successfully (the rest didn’t go through for some reason on the contributor side, insufficient funds on account etc. – and no, I did not expect the 1000 USD pledge to go through :))
- out of 387,09 USD:

35 USD went to credit card fees
19,38 USD went to Patreon (service fee)

leaving 332,71 USD for FTR – much appreciated! The list of contributors can be viewed here.

And once again it’s the time to thank also the contributors, who donated via Paypal:

Peter1289 (New Zealand)
Robert I. (United States)

Thank you guys!

The best way to help me and FTR is via the Patreon service

This is the Patreon account of For the Record. In case you read this for the first time and feel like contributing, here is an explanation what it is, how it works and how to contribute. You can find a list of all those, who pledged and help to keep FTR running here.

Thank you all!

  1. Something tells me that this money is not much as it used to be…

      • Yeah, the money has the same amount as the last month, but LESS MONEY?

My “im smugglin ur cash SS bc WeGee told me to” sense activates! >:D

        • I’ll see what happens in a few days, strangely enough pretty much all the donators that are still “unaccounted for” are Americans. Maybe it’s an issue connected with 4th of July?

  2. Don’t you want to somehow remove this 1000 USD pledge? It confuses a lot of ppl (SS gets a lot of $$$, so my 5$ is not even silly)

  3. Can you explain what does ’332 usd goes for ftr’ means? How do you put it into use, does it pay the domain rent, or something?
i dont mind where the money goes, its not mine, just curious

    • Up till now, most of it were running costs. Now that we got our own hardware with Edrard, it’s just the connection costs, DDOS protection (strangely enough at one point FTR got attacked a lot, but it died down in last months), fees for various software FTR is using (Oneill API whatever that is, CDN and such). Hmm… gonna get an improved message system next, I am getting tons of spam from bots…

      • DDOS… Wait, oh my! The EFE guys were financing hackers to knock out your blog! I remember!

Seriously, if it ever happenz, and if it gets leaked, I’m seriously gonna write all sorts of shit to those EFE assholes and BURN THEM WITH ME LIKE A MOCKINGJAY. >:)

        • Well, if there is a way to actually prove who does that without involving police or anything, let me know, because I have no idea, all we get is a bunch of IP’s. My last suspect (you might remember I accused one US player of it) was simply based on the fact that there was a serious pissing contest with him and a few other guys on US forums and they were the only one at that point with a grudge against me (way before the EFE business and no, I don’t think EFE was involved).
