- Havok is planned for this year
- multicore support is apparently being gradually worked on
- why is there no Steam support? “Something on the top level didn’t work out with Steam” and “No comment”
- Storm confirms again the fact that Soviet LT7 will be the LTTB and LT8 will be the “Light T-54″
- Veider confirms that the improved VK4502B turret, mentioned in patchnotes (roof thickness buffed) didn’t get to the first test round, it will appear however in the next one
- 9.3 will bring cca 18 new HD tanks

- the turret rotation sound “kicks in” in sniper mode only when the turret is turned significantly – during very small adjustments, there is a less loud sound of the fine adjustment gears playing instead (handcranking)
- HD IS-3 will come in 9.4
- the HD model production was delayed as a result of the outsource company failure to produce sufficient results and it took long time to look for a new company
- apparently, one of the Russian developers confirmed that “from now on, only your tank will be in HD, the others will look like the old ones”, because at distance you don’t notice the difference anyway
- Q: “Since you nerfed the 183mm HESH gold ammo since players used it too much, what about 150mm gold ammo for E-100?” A: “E-100 is fine, I am enjoying grinding it.”
- regarding the fate of other OP vehicles, such as Hellcat, T18, T49, KV-1S? “They too will meet their fate”
- the recent drop in numbers of online players is not something extraordinary, it’s caused by summer
- Russian 9.2 patchnotes had a mistake – it was written there that M48A1 armor would be changed, when the correct tank is M8A1
- Knopka on historical battles removal in 9.2:

“The way they were implemented, historical battles were not a full-fledged mode which we wanted them to be from the start. We also recieved many improvement proposals and comments about the issues from players. That’s why we decided to remove historical battles from the game and to review their concept itself, the influence of lowtier tanks on battle and their role and implementation in this mode and also the influence of high-tier vehicles and their amount. Several HB concept improvement ideas appeared in time period after patch 9.1. While the mode is disabled in the game, we will implement and test these concepts in order to make the mode more interesting, dynamical and not as dependent on hightier vehicles, which previously often decided the fate of the battle.”

And regarding the future of historical battles:

“It’s possible that they will have a feature, that was never implemented into the game before. It will allow lowtier tanks to make a decent income in this mode and it will make it more useful especially in this mode.” (SS: otherwise, she stated only “too early to tell”, but generally speaking, there were two approaches discussed: respawns for lowtier tanks and the possibility that lowtier tanks in historical battles will be played by bots – we will see, which one (if any) will it be)

- hangar interface will still be reworked
- apparently, “Fire Arc” (SS: the new Prokhorovka – correct English translation of the Russian name would probably be something like “Fiery Salient” or “Salient on Fire”), is identical to the old Prokhorovka gameplay-wise, the changes were only cosmetical such as the wrecks and smoke

  1. Since when T49 was ”op”?
And E-100 nerf gold ammo, lol for that

    PS: First!!!!11

    • “Since when T49 was ”op”?”

Since introduction, but people rushing to Hellcat didnt notice it. IMO he is more powerful in his tier then Hellcat in tier VI.

      • Very few people actually perform well in the T49. The true hallmark of OP tanks is that average players perform really well in them. As far as I can tell, that is not the case. The expected damage for WN8 is a strong hint. Looking at various stat sites, I find nothing to support the statement it is OP. It is a tank which allows unicums to do amazing things, but that is about it.

    • Extremely fast, nimble, decent turret, great gun depression, great gun for its tier, huge camo and a turret.

You hide in a bush hulldown in a good position the enemy doesn’t expect you to be, sniping side armor of even tier7 heavies with ease.

But as previously said, everyone is busy rushing the Hellcat to notice, and 90% of players have a “it’s fast so it’s a scout” attitude.

      • Well, i didnt know that then. Most of time, those tanks isnt a problem, in fact, they are easy to kill, and i dont fear them much. I honestly feel though, why i think that its not op, is because that 90% of its users dont know how to use it (uses them as suicide scouts)

      • If you didnt know the T49 is OP then you are showing your scrubness. NEVER lost a tier 5 battle in mine and RACK UP the XP when I get tier 7 battles

    • E-100′s gold ammo is fine. Although it hurt a lot but the 183mm HESH can one shot and too OP..

    • E-100′s HEATs are fine. They still do 750 dmg and often bounce, BUT HESH on FV183 do 0-2000 dmg and NEVER bounce. So I don’t see problem with E-100′s ammo.

        • imo it’s over performing, but way more op tanks in game then E-100. like wuffle and t57

          • gundamhisoka is new to tiers 8-10 and comment (fails to recognise E-100 reference is wtfaffle, t57 has had previous nerfs. User must not know where/how to hit these 2 “OP” vehicles. lol
            Go cry somewhere else.

    • They have had two “ninja” nerfs the last two patches with speed and turren rotation and they will likely attack its gun next. RIP my secret OP TD

  2. Storm confirms again the fact that Soviet LT7 will be the LTTB and LT7 will be the “Light T-54″

correct this pls. LT8 will be t 54

  3. - Storm confirms again the fact that Soviet LT7 will be the LTTB and LT7 will be the “Light T-54″

and LT8 will be the “Light T-54″ fixed :)

  4. - HD IS-3 will come in 9.4
And yet, time to wait for 3 more months… -_-

    • With 18 HD models in 9.3, I can wait for 1 more patch for the IS-3. They finally have things moving for the HD model production. And now that we know that the delays were to substandard outsourcing it doesn’t seem so bad either. I’d rather wait had have the job done properly than quick shoddy work.

  5. Steam overlay works perfectly fine (uploading screenshots included), anything else (download + selling packages) would mean Steam taking their share of profits and that won’t happen. (Also can you imagine WG participating in Steam sales?)

    • For reference, you can check how Gaijin did it. There are always possibilities and everything can be done but – as you noted – why share profits with Valve? It’s not that WG doesn’t have big playerbase already, as opposed to Gaijin.

    • I think the problem they have is what to do with the KV-122 since it existed in real life.

What do you think, make KV-122 a T7 premium?

      • Maybe, with pref mm to see only tier 8s

Interesting thing is that KV122 was discontinued due to old KV hull was not good for that heavy tank… in game is KV sluggish and KV122 is fast like a medium…

      • It existed, but its stats in the game are WAY better than it was in real life, particularly in gun depression (irl: 2 degrees, in-game: 8 degrees) and ROF on the D-2-5T 122 mm gun (irl: 3 rounds per minute at best, ingame: 5 rounds per minute).

  6. - the recent drop in numbers of online players is not something extraordinary, it’s caused by summer

This makes no sense on the NA server… instead it should read…

“The recent drop in numbers of good players it not something extraordinary, it’s caused by “good players avoiding summerbaddies.”

    -or-

“The recent increase in numbers of summer-baddie-pubbies is not something extraordinary, it’s caused by summer.”

    • Player quality decrease on NA is because many of the dedicated more experienced players go on vacations and are not playing. At the same time, a large number of new, or very casual players now have lots of time to play.

  7. I was wondering, where exactly are they going to fit the new USSR lights. They’d have to cut trough the KV-13 to make room for the T8 one. Or squeeze it in somewhere else, which isn’t exactly easy since the MT-25 starts from the dead center of the tree.

      • And since when it is said that LTTB will be premium?
Also, T-54 LT will not be premium. It will become soviet tier 8 LT.

          • Heck, i want to still hunt that Lorraine.
We dont know, i heard that they are drinking some nice drinks on beach, with sunglasses and just loafing around

    • They should unnerf T-50 and place it to tier V and A-20 will still be on tier IV.so thats my idea of soviet LT line

MS-1>BT-2>BT-7>A-20>T-50>MT-25>LTTB>LT-54>T-54>T-62A thats it, now can somebody send this idea to WG :D

      • Why should we send it to WG? It’s nothing interesting or innovative.
They probably have their own better ideas.

  8. - the HD model production was delayed as a result of the outsource company failure to produce sufficient results and it took long time to look for a new company.

It would be nice to find a company that can produce HD model that won’t cause the computer performance of the players.

    - 9.3 will bring cca 18 new HD tanks

Please add some dirt/mud on the track. The tracks look always clean. And fix the camouflage on the German Tanks, it should be this http://www.worldwar2aces.com/tiger-tank/tiger-tank-images/tiger-tank-09.jpg

    • They mentioned something about that previously. Something along the lines that they did not want have that in the models or otherwise it would look odd. Like having muddy track on Sand River, or snow stuck to the tank in the desert, etc. I think the mentioned that if they implemented it, it will be a client side effect, maybe as part of HavoK

  9. The chankes to fiery salient, fire ark or whatever it will be kalled, well frankly the ridkes/embankments all seemed steeper with the depressions in between seems deeper. There were also shell holes bik enough for tangs to be hull down in. Which I don’t thing were there befork.

    • Dem spelling mistakes.

Not to be a jerk or anything but if you have so many mistakes that I need to reread your comment several times to makes sense of it, then you need to work on it a bit. If English isn’t your native language, consider getting a spell check addon for your browser.

    • The changes to fiery salient, fire arc or whatever it will be called – well frankly , the ridges/embankments all seemed steeper with the depressions in between seemed even more deeper. There were also shell holes big enough for tanks to be hull down in, which I don’t think were there before.

        • I really did have to read it several times. It was definitely a “wtf he trying to say?” moment. I really just didn’t want to say that and find out you were legitimately making a effort.

  10. - regarding the fate of other OP vehicles, such as Hellcat, T18, T49, KV-1S? “They too will meet their fate”

ofc -_- let players seal club a bit more…. since when these tanks are op? 2012?

      • Further? They said several times since the original 9.0-3 estimate that it may be later. Given the issues with 9.0 and the failed outsourcing from the first artwork company it’s really no surprise the schedule changed. “This year” actually sounds sooner than what I was beginning to expect

        • So what they were showing off in one of the first DevDiaries/KTTS was all CGI?
HD models and “artwork” have nothing to do with this.

  11. - Q: “Since you nerfed the 183mm HESH gold ammo since players used it too much, what about 150mm gold ammo for E-100?” A: “E-100 is fine, I am enjoying grinding it.”

I thought there is nothing more in this community that can surprise me. I was wrong. If he compares using the gold shells he should also compare their regular ammo penetration …

  12. - regarding the fate of other OP vehicles, such as Hellcat, T18, T49, KV-1S? “They too will meet their fate”

Good! No longer will I have to see swarms of these in the future.

  13. They finally realized how OP the T49 was? I played 140 battles with it and besides its OP stats (RoF, Camo, agility) I could swear it gets preferential MM because tier 7 battles were really rare.

  15. Noooooo! They be nerfin my beloved T49 ;_; Maybe I’ll switch to M8A1 – basically the same thing but more seals to club (but no more radley-walters medals ;/)

    • All tier 4 TD’s [except for Sau 40] are OP… that or most of the tier 4 non-TD’s are just terrible.

“Who cares that gameplay is shit you are here to enjoy view” -WG map department

      • Prokhorovka is. Other maps that got reworked recently aren’t. They are choke point tunnel corridor maps and they are shit and the one responsible for that should feel like shit and quit his job before more harm is done.

  17. They should simply turn lowtier in HB into true scouts by making (almost) every tank visible to them (those specific clients). voilà, problem solved.

  18. One thing they haven’t fixed is the constant exe crash whenever you close the game, you need to force close it through task manager if you want to restart the game.

  19. regarding the fate of other OP vehicles, such as Hellcat, T18, T49, KV-1S? “They too will meet their fate”

sure for damn noobs every tank is OP so why not nerf them all!? this will not change anything for the braindead noobs but you will lose good players who don’t find anything worth the research if all “funny” tanks are gone or nerfed to death

    • You have a funny way of naming overpowered and entirely broken vehicles. Poor you won’t be able to statpad anymore, fortunately.

    • -sniper noise: I just generally find the gun firing too loud
      -simple typo
-pve HB could be good but I’d still like some PvP HB
-hanger: no useless features pls when there are a number of simple ui improvements needed like better filters, better platoon window, settable xp goals ( as in how much you need to research x module/upgrade). As long as it doesn’t become the horrid WoWP ui.
      - Salient on Fire is the best name of the given possible names

      • The hangar needs some “life” in it that’s true but i doubt they can make it with little or no stress to the PC. I mean… just look at recent “New hangar”… sure it looks good but it causes serious FPS drop and microlaggs.
And about the UI: It needs some rework but it’s mechanics are way more obsolete and annoying. (like the “you must friend a dude to send a message to him/her” and the godawful “tank sorter options” [I would really like to set a specific lineup to the scrolling area, like "MS-1 > T-54 > Panther > Cromwell> KV-4 > Tiger 2 > etc" and it can be done with only one XML file afaik])

  22. I love the fact that people don’t consider my Cromwell to be OP. Guess that means my favorite tier 6 clubbing tank will remain un-nerfed for a long time~

  23. - Q: “Since you nerfed the 183mm HESH gold ammo since players used it too much, what about 150mm gold ammo for E-100?” A: “E-100 is fine, I am enjoying grinding it.”

Now some geniuses want to nerf the gold ammo on the E-100 too!!! Right…..

    Lets see:
FV-183: Pen on Standard ammo: 310mm

E-100 pen on standard ammo: 235mm

What sort of an idiot could even think about nerfing/removing the premium ammo from an E-100?
Give the standard AP 270 pen and nerf the shit out of premium and I wont give a shit.

I NEVER use gold on my leo 1 (don’t carry even a single HEAT round) because the AP is easily enough to pen what you aim at but I can’t be certain about the E-100′s 150mm gun. I use AP on it against most tanks, the only tanks that I keep prem ammo for are: Maus, E-100 hiding lower plate, T95, T110E3, T110E4 and Hull down russian meds. For all others standard ammo is fine.

    • This so much this.

Yes I’d love if they canned ALL gold ammo from the game and buffed the AP pen to useful levels on ALL guns of ALL tanks if the gun needed it (HE throwing guns not included in AP buff), but until that day if ever leave the E-100′s “gold” ammo alone.

    • That’s how those tanks work. Pubbies will die horribly in them, while people with more than 2 brain cells will rape the shit out of you before you will even see them with that camo+speed+great gun combo

  24. I personally don’t carr about the T49 but do NOT touch the Wolverine. The gun with the slow-@ss turret is fine. I think it’s perfectly balanced. Why don’t they nerf the sh!t out of the WT? Give it 12 ammo capacity, 6 shells with 200 pen and 1 minute long reload, and the turret rotation speed of a hellcat.
