  1. “- Tier VIII–X vehicles with suspension in front are no longer set on fire when a shell hits the suspension.”

I think that’s meant to be transmission.

  2. - Mechanics of shell’s ricochet after it hit the vehicle reworked: now it continues to move instead of disappearing.

This, does this mean we get to bounce shots into other tanks? Something they said they wouldn’t implement because of server load or something?

    • Probably just visual. Means you will see the tracer fly around until it disappears in the distance instead of it bouncing 2 meters and then vanishing.

          • That was already present IIRC. It was only possible with a few tanks though (IS-7 comes to mind). What I think this means is that bounces have become dangerous for nearby tanks. Atleast I hope so, might finally discourage lemmingtrains.

              • A special case when it rotates the turret to the rear. The rear of the turret then overlaps the frontal pike, thus a bounce on the front sends the shot into the turret bottom. Think there was a video showing this somewhere but I have trouble finding it.

  3. Massive de-facto buff to German tanks, interesting.
I like this patch a lot just for the LTs, didn’t expect more but they threw in more, good job WG

  4. …and the Chancellery, which relays unique Special Instructions to clans.

    Some more explanation, anyone?

    - Information about quality of connection in the server selection menu added.
    This is nice.

    - Disciplinary penalties for the following instances of unsportsmanlike conduct added: inaction in battle, exiting the battle before vehicle is destroyed, self-destruction.
    +100

    - Mechanics of shell’s ricochet after it hit the vehicle reworked: now it continues to move instead of disappearing.
Prepare for Pz1c deaths from KV1 ricochets.

    - Tier VIII–X vehicles with suspension in front are no longer set on fire when a shell hits the suspension.
    Tiger 1 still cries evertime.

    - Issue when player could not send a complaint on an ally with reason “Inaction/Bot” in battle results window fixed.
After battle you cannot report all as bot, no effect when choosing this option. +1

    - Some memory leaks in the battle fixed.
Some leaks provide us with priceless info xD

    - Each of values for obtaining Marks of Excellence reduced by 7 points (58% instead of 65% for obtaining one Mark of Excellence, etc.).
Ok this is crap, some ppl have worked hard for their 2 or 3 marks , my friend has worked his ass off in WZ120 for 2 marks, and now this…

    - Awards from the Battle Heroes category can now be obtained by multiple players.
Also crap. They supposed to stay like they are now.

    • “Tiger 1 still cries evertime.”

Not sure, the burning is not a problem for me. And when i shoot the tiger I i just aim in the middle of the silhouette, since you can expect to penetrate it just about anywhere. Lesser aimtime > hitting transmission usually.

    • “- Awards from the Battle Heroes category can now be obtained by multiple players.”

Cool – better chance of getting Courageous Resistance bonus when a few players play well but lose because of the other 2/3rds of the team

  5. Seems like a lot of good fixes and modifications in this patch. Sounds like chat 2.0 is coming, as well as some much needed re-balancing and fixes (although I’m going to miss burning German box tanks from the front transmission)

  6. “- Following new features for Stronghold added: legionaries (players can now engage in Skirmishes even if they are not in a clan) ”

Does anyone know if such players will share in the Stronghold bonuses (credit multiplier etc), or do they just take part in the battles for standard reward?

    • I read somewhere in FTR that they will just benefit with battle xp, credits and thats it for them. Resources they gain go to employer clan, and if he could benefit from reserves , then he would be no mercenary, rather standard clan member.

  7. I’ve seen that “vehicle rotating on spotting” bug, it’s a real pain that can lead to wasted shots.

    • I once had this bug, started spinning like crazy and even bounced a shell with my ass whlie rotating at the speed of the sound. Not that I don’t want it to be fixed but it is sometimes amusing…

  8. Ummm but then a bounce shell can fly and disapear later OR the shell is not evaporated and it can fall over terrain??? if the shell goes enough high with kinetic force can pen some thin tank roofs or fall inside open vehicles… i doubt WG add this.

  9. Characteristics of the following vehicles improved: Object 430, M6A2E1, Т92 SPG
    What?! T92 BUFF?? GG WG

    • The T92 is evidently the single SPG that got hurt the most and the hardest by the SPG nerf. Its statistically – looking at WG’s favourite stat: win rate – the worst tier X SPG. So it deserves a buff.

      • No it doesn’t. You have obviously not been in a heavy with hundreds of milimetres of armor and having a T92 shell hit 10 meters in front of you doing 800 damage. It has the biggest gun in the game, so it should have to suffer for it too.
I understand that you are a scumbag and that it is in your blood, but nobody likes the T92 except it’s drivers.

        • Well, sucks to be you. If you get hit by SPGs that often, you’re doing something wrong.

        • So because of the one time you were hit with a T92 round you’re going to say that it is fine. Secondly, with that one round you were hit by a T92 there were 4 others that missed just outside of splash range of an enemy tank. Third, you’re a newb for thinking everyone who plays arty is a scumbag. Lastly, what Streb said.

      • I am not going to disagree with you, but WR alone doesn’t mean something gets a buff.

The fact that is has the worst average damage of all artillery, the lowest number of kills per battle. It is however still a very popular tank. To be honest both the T92 and G.W. E-100 both require some buffing to bring them into line since their statistics are very very close to each other.

      • The main issue with the t92 IMO is that the tier 9 is better in every way except splash and alpha. Aim time mobility rate of fire camo etc are all bettter on the m53. It is just a better SPG. A t92 buff may fix that. IMO all that it needs is a little more arc to bring it closer to the conq GC.

          • and this right here is why I play arty. the rage is hilarious.

granted I don’t like playing it very much, I’d rather spin in my 50B or E5 where I don’t miss 50% of shots.
calling arty players skilless and moronic is just being rude, some arty players including myself are quite good outside of the SPG class.

  10. - Bonus to combat experience which rewards vehicle non-penetration/ricochet added, applicable only when an enemy shell hits the vehicle’s hull (original trajectory of the shell must cross the hull), but does not reduce its HP.

    This ^

I thought the bonus for tanking/soaking was delayed ?!

  11. - Bonus to combat experience which rewards vehicle non-penetration/ricochet added, applicable only when an enemy shell hits the vehicle’s hull (original trajectory of the shell must cross the hull), but does not reduce its HP.

I really want to know more about this. How much xp do you get? Does it make a noticeable difference if you tank like 20 to 30 shots and bounce them all? Because my KV-220 and Matilda would be all over that, my 110 too.

  12. “- Disciplinary penalties for the following instances of unsportsmanlike conduct added: inaction in battle, exiting the battle before vehicle is destroyed, self-destruction.”
So… Any details on how this is determined? I mean, it would be horrible if i had to be “punished” for dcing for crashing accidentally (quite common on light tanks)… Not to mention this makes cliff diving non profitable? (other than for the lolz)

  13. “- Characteristics of the following vehicles improved: Object 430, M6A2E1, Т92 SPG”
“following vehicles improved: Object 430, M6A2E1, Т92 SPG”
    “improved: Object 430, M6A2E1, Т92 SPG”
    IMPROVED.
    T92 SPG.
No. No, no no, nonononono! WHY? WHAT?

  14. Hmm…Tier 8+ tanks won’t spontaneously combust when you pump a shot through the LFP? I like! Although that will be annoying when facing them…no more auto fires by shooting them in the front :(

  15. Do we know yet exactly how the M6A2E1 is being buffed? I have a special place in my heart for that ugly piece of crap, I’d love for it to be enjoyable to play. Also, T92 buff? Any details there as well?

  16. “Each of values for obtaining Marks of Excellence reduced by 7 points (58% instead of 65% for obtaining one Mark of Excellence, etc.)”.

So why not rename “Marks of Excellence” to “Marks of mediocrity”? I don’t have skill to do insane damage every match. Yet getting first mark in VK36.01 was not hard at all even as it is. Now these marks will only indicate that a player isn’t total srub (or a bot).

    • I needed only 85 battles with 655 average damage with the T1 heavy to get 1 MoE, so you dont need to do “insane damage every match”

  17. - Disciplinary penalties for the following instances of unsportsmanlike conduct added: inaction in battle, exiting the battle before vehicle is destroyed, self-destruction.

    Any info about the penalties?

  18. ” – Mechanics of shell’s ricochet after it hit the vehicle reworked: now it continues to move instead of disappearing.”

Does that means that shells will finally start to bounce between targets and trap-shots will happen more often, or it’s just a visual change?

” – Awards from the Battle Heroes category can now be obtained by multiple players.”

This one is dumb…the special thing about these “Battle Hero” medals was that they were unique per battle…
And this means that the requirements for them will most likely change, as most of them require you to do the most damage/kills/spotting etc in order to get them.

  20. yes the m46 patton should be worth the grind now :) i can mount a decent cannon on it without the upgraded tracks now.

  21. So what about shots that don’t penetrate the turret ? Are they classed as “tanking”also ? Some of my best bounces come from angling my e-100 turret deliberately to bounce the stuff coming in as do many other players in various tanks , why only reward the hull and not turret ?

  22. I should have expected the Transmission change. Just moved German medium crew to E50 and all five crew have firefighting at 97%

  23. What? They reduce the Marks of excellence requirements? WHYYYY???! Now I cant feel special with my T-34-85 and 3 stars on its gun … :(
They will no longer be marks of excellence, but marks of averageness :(

  24. I am getting pretty excited for Patch 9.3 to the brink hyped. heh

    - Each of values for obtaining Marks of Excellence reduced by 7 points (58% instead of 65% for obtaining one Mark of Excellence, etc.).

Right, This is a right bastard to get in a tank like the ISU-152 or a really popular tank like E-100 but I understand why people who drives some of the easier tanks to earn MoE are upset about this change.

    - Tier VIII–X vehicles with transmission in front are no longer set on fire when a shell hits the transmission.

Well it sorta pains me as a Russian tank driver but then again the armor on a Tiger 2 isn’t that good but I am not gonna like shooting at E-100′s Lower Frontal Plate and only do base damage.

    - Pz.Sfl.V, Tier VII German tank destroyer, renamed to Sturer Emil.

So it finally got the name most people know it as.

    - The KV-85, a new Soviet heavy tank, added to Tier VI to replace KV-1S.

Also known as either KV-100 or KV-122 depending on the gun you use.

  25. “- Issue when player could not send a complaint on an ally with reason “Inaction/Bot” in battle results window fixed.”

So it wasn’t only in mine game, good, I thought it’s some mod’s fault…
