Hello everyone – check this interesting article about the birth of the M48, especially the video at the end.

- aimtime in the game represents “the comfort, with which the gun was aimed”, this parameter “quite adequately” represents reality
- Q: “Gun stabilization parameter confuses people!” (SS: gun stabilization in this case is a general term for a set of parameters, that determine how much the aim circle will get bigger when the tank moves its hull, turret etc.). A (SerB): “Your opinion is, as usual, very important to us.”
- theoretically the D-10-85 gun could fit the KV-13 turret, but since it was not proposed for it in real life, it was not implemented as an option for it. If WG added it, the vehicle would be “significantly better than other tanks of its tier”
- Q: “SerB, do you deny that various tanks have various chance of hitting the center of the circle?” A: “Yes, we deny. Because it’s a CONSPIRACY!!! And what kind of CONSPIRACY!!! would it be, if it wasn’t denied.”
- Q: “When will your nerf gold ammo for credits, whenever I drive E-75, I immediately get shot at by gold” A (Storm): “Statistically, the amount of gold shells hitting the E-75 is less than 20 percent of all shells”
- Q: “When will you fix disconnections?” A: “Never. Unfortunately, we can’t cure your connection.”
- there was a rumor going around that E25 DPM will be nerfed from 2700 to 2350 DPM. It is not true.

- Storm confirms that active antivirus software can have very negative effect on WoT (specifically Kaspersky, but on several threads, disabling AVAST, ESET and Norton AV was said to have very positive impact on the game performance and removes lags)
- Evilly states that RU players will learn of their mission details around 15th of December, but they will not have a T-34-85M mission like EU server does.
- the RU server mission tank will not be T-44-85, BUT it’s possible the T-44-85 will be revived
- it’s “too early to tell” about the Object 260 mission, it’s still being developed
- Evilly confirms the existence of the Premium tank crew XP bug, will be fixed – at least the part with the disappearing XP (when you enable accelerated training). As for the rest – apparently, in 9.4, the XP calculation was stealth-changed (WG forgot to add the announcement to the patchnotes) and it works correctly the way it is. Evilly: “The inaccuracy lies in the fact that in 9.4, tanks have 50 percent bonus to crew XP, but this does not include the bonus XP, that is awarded to the premium tank based on its tier. This was the reason for complications. We did put it into the patch, but not in the patchnotes.”
- in one of the upcoming patches (likely 9.6) premium tanks will get further (economic) buffs
- Evilly later adds to this topic that he would like to see the crew XP situation returned to the way it was in 9.3 (with additional bonus, even though it was not intended). It will be discussed amongst the developers.

  1. - the RU server mission tank will not be T-44-85, BUT it’s possible the T-44-85 will be revived

    Yes plz.

He mean gun dispersion values? there is a total of 4 different parameter wich causes the aim circle to get bigger, and these are:
    - moving the hull forward or backward
    - turning the hull left or right
    - turning the gun/turret left or right
    - shooting
if you do multiple things at once, they add together, and the aiming circle will be much bigger.

Its really that hard to understand this that its causing confusion?

  3. Should also let them know that the D-5T-85BM was never fitted to the KV-13 or IS #1 or IS #2.

    Nor was the D-5T.

    Or the S-54.

  4. - Storm confirms that active antivirus software can have very negative effect on WoT (specifically Kaspersky, but on several threads, disabling AVAST, ESET and Norton AV was said to have very positive impact on the game performance and removes lags)

Oh for god sake…virus scanners scan read/write/modify actions performed on a filesystem.
So WoT being from the -2Gb RAM stoneage era. In battles it loads stuff only when it’s needed, instead of preloading ALL data for that battle (models/sounds/shaders/textures/etc) into RAM so the HDD is no longer a bottleneck.
Thus a virus scanner can no longer give such negative effects on the performance of a system, a.k. on 5200rpm or low cache drives.

Mordernize your darn client Wargaming, it’s almost 2015! Not 2005!

      • No it wasn’t. 4GB was already common.

And don’t say “but everything was 32 bit” because not everything was.
x86-64 processors were introduced in 2003. 64bit processors date as far back as the 1970s

        • @Baldrickk
Intel core two series of possessors were introduced in about 2008, which were the first 64 bit processors widely available to the public. and yes, there were some of the generations of core twos out in 2006 and 2007, but they were only 32bit.
          http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intel_Core_2
so yeah, 64 bit was developed in the 70′s and introduced in the early 2000′s but were not mainstream. and until august this year, i was using a Pentium 4 (3.06 ghz single core), 3584mb of ram and win XP to run wot, a machine from from 2006, and i still got playable fps. 4 gb of ram was possible on a ddr 1 machine, but again, it cost too much for mainstream, and with the 32bit os people were using until 2008, no body had more.
          http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Vista
          http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=DDR2_SDRAM&redirect=no
windows vista was around in 2007, but the hardware was not quite ready yet, and vista only became mainstream in 2008. ddr2 again, cca 2008 before it was in mainstream use, did make 4gb+ ram mainstream, but not all machines had it.
so no, long story short, your wrong.

          • All I know, is that I am having one hell of a time with this game on my Commodore 64 now a day. WG got to stop with all this flashy shit so that I can keep playing….

    • Storm confirms that active antivirus software can have very negative effect on WoT (specifically Kaspersky, but on several threads, disabling AVAST, ESET and Norton AV was said to have very positive impact on the game performance and removes lags)

LOL If you think for a moment that I am going to disable any protection to the Internet to play a game so you can backdoor my machine…… MAHAHAHAHAH.. a quick and complete FU.

  5. - aimtime in the game represents “the comfort, with which the gun was aimed”, this parameter “quite adequately” represents reality.
Lie. It’s just a balance parameter, and they shouldn’t pretend that it is anything else.

[...]and Norton AV was said to have very positive impact on the game performance and removes lags
I really doubt that, as far as i remember Norton was always the worst offender in terms of performance loss with games.

  6. Uninstalling Norton has a “very positive” impact on everything, not just game performance.

If you’re using Norton you’re a moron that deserves what you get. Anti-viruses in general are for people that have no idea what they’re doing.

    • Thats why Norton comes free with so many PCs and Laptops from the shitty highstreet TV and washing machine chainstores… no one who has even the slightest clue would ever install that shit…

      My mum bought a Laptop…
2 days later I went to see them, to help them work out what’s what…
@2 days and 15 seconds Norton was removed….

      • A decent AV shouldn’t get in the way at all. Norton used to be terrible but is much better now than it used to be.

While you can run without an AV (I did for over 3 years – periodic checks with external AV to confirm that I was clean) it still isn’t reccommended.

MSE is actually built into new windows installations now, like Windows Defender.

        • “Norton used to be terrible but is much better now than it used to be.”

Considering how bad it was, that’s…not saying too terribly much. The bar is set nearly to the floor :v

MSE isn’t any better. I’ve lost count of how many machines I’ve worked on that had both MSE and Norton (or alternatively McAfee) running alongside a number of virii and/or ransomware, blissfully unaware of what’s going on.

The best way to run is without any antivirus at all. Do semi-regular backups of important data, run Adblock to get rid of fake bait download buttons and generally be aware of what’s being transferred, don’t open email attachments. I run nothing and have had all of one problem in the last decade or so; a hilariously ineptly-written ransomware program that had slipped in with something else, disarmed in minutes.

Using active antivirus is a bandaid solution at best. If people were simply educated a bit more on safe interwebbing, it would be be unnecessary aside from the occasional maintenance scan; and for that, something like Housecall is far superior to Norton and McAfee bloatware.

  7. - in one of the upcoming patches (likely 9.6) premium tanks will get further (economic) buffs

More credits please. One of the most boring things to do in the game is to grind that 6.1 mil after you have put in so much to grind the XP for the tier 10 tank.

More creds will reduce that chore.

  8. A (SerB): “Your opinion is, as usual, very important to us.”

Not sure if serious or just troll…

  9. “Storm confirms that active antivirus software can have very negative effect on WoT”

Here are my recommendations for low-impact AV solutions. These have never had a noticeable impact on my games:

Free: For free, I’d recommend Microsoft Security Essentials. If you have Windows 8 or higher, it’s built-in. The only drawback is that it has a rather low detection rate compared to other AV solutions, so it will only really catch the most common viruses and other malware.

Non-free: If you’re willing to pay, I’d recommend Webroot’s SecureAnywhere. They actually have a version made specifically for gamers, and my experience has been that it is extremely low impact and very fast. It will also catch more stuff than Security Essentials. The only drawback is the identity protection sometimes messes with pasting things from the clipboard, but you can fix that by whitelisting software or simply turning off the ID protection (which is not really needed as much as the AV).

I’m sure other people will recommend other things, and there’s plenty of good solutions on the market. The point is, don’t let this scare you off from using AV altogether – there are good solutions out there that will not affect the performance of the game.

  10. - Evilly confirms the existence of the Premium tank crew XP bug, will be fixed – at least the part with the disappearing XP (when you enable accelerated training).

    >>>> As for the rest – apparently, in 9.4, the XP calculation was stealth-changed (WG forgot to add the announcement to the patchnotes)

How bad, they forget that not unimportant part in the patchnotes. :-)

    >>>>and it works correctly the way it is. Evilly: “The inaccuracy lies in the fact that in 9.4, tanks have 50 percent bonus to crew XP, but this does not include the bonus XP, that is awarded to the premium tank based on its tier. This was the reason for complications.

It works correctly the way it is now? The news and its pictures show us that it was correct before 9.4:
    http://worldoftanks.eu/en/news/pc-browser/46/premium-vehicle-improvements/
    and it’s broken now.

  12. “Statistically, the amount of gold shells hitting the E-75 is less than 20 percent of all shells”
“ALL SHELLS” ??? Did he mean ALL SHELLS SHOT THIS DAY ON EU1?
Or maybe 20 percent of all shells shot in this battle by any tank to any target?
Or maybe 20 percent of all shells which was in ammo racks of all tanks in EU server at this moment?
    Who knows….

  13. Less than 20 percent of shells fired at an E-75 are gold.

…which means that nearly 20 percent of all shells fired at an E-75 are gold>

    That’s shit.

    • That value is over all tiers, averaged values.

This can not be transfered to a T9 tank and especially not an E 75.

        • I bet most of them are from tier 7 tanks, T-44, Type-59 or T-54 which cannot penetrate it frontally without firing gold even if they hit it’s weakspots, because baddies cannot flank.
( and a black prince flanking, lol? )

It is probably very profitable for WG to introduce many mobile bad penetration tanks, lot’s of mediocre players carry and shoot ridiculous amounts of gold on them. ( I’d mention high dpm, but I already wrote T-44/type 59 down… much DPM, wow, still a fun decent tank. )

ps: I can’t blame black prince drivers for carrying a lot of gold, though. What else can you do when you cannot penetrate your target frontally in that tank? ( INB: track and flank, shoot other targets, LTP. Valid, but the black prince has plenty of ammo capacity and frequently faces tanks it cannot hope to penetrate frontally and it cannot flank…)

          • More important question would be what’s the ratio of gold shells used in penetrating hits.

Because if everyone pens E-75, 20% gold shells fired at it doesn’t change a thing.

If E-75 bounces everything else and he only gets penned by that 20% gold shells – suddenly it’s a whole different scenario.

Not the first time SerB confirms his total inability to understand his own data. What a retard and he berates people…

          • Gold. Gold ammo? People pay gold for APCR?

            STUPIIIIID!
I wonder if they know APCR can be bought with creds now?

  14. - theoretically the D-10-85 gun could fit the KV-13 turret, but since it was not proposed for it in real life, it was not implemented as an option for it. If WG added it, the vehicle would be “significantly better than other tanks of its tier”

And why is this a problem? The tradeoff is that the tank doesn’t directly lead to anywhere higher on the tech tree. The sole reason to grind it is to use it as a bridge between the medium and heavy tank lines.

    • It’s already more fun to play than the T-43, though. DPM aside it feels like the better tank between the two of them. Mostly because it is a boss in tier 5/6 matches. I don’t have it anymore now sadly, I kind of miss it but I already have lot’s of tier 7 vehicles that I play.

    • Was wondering what that was thanks.

Shame they have the M48 as a tier ten. Would be nice to drive the 90mm version in lower tiers rather than against next-generation Soviet tanks with a 105. M60A1 is the counterpart of the like of the T62a, STB, Cent Mk. X, Chieftan Mk. II…etc etc, not the poor M48.

  15. - theoretically the D-10-85 gun could fit the KV-13 turret, but since it was not proposed for it in real life, it was not implemented as an option for it. If WG added it, the vehicle would be “significantly better than other tanks of its tier”

it will be a Prem Tank :)

  16. Hi SS, have you heard any more rumors concerning the E25? I wanted to buy it a whilde ago, so I did a few weeks back, just curious if the buzz is still saying it will be removed, cheers!

  17. Is it only me? I am so confused:
Evilly confirms the existence of the Premium tank crew XP bug, will be fixed – at least the part with the disappearing XP (when you enable accelerated training)
So, if we enable accelerated training, where is all that XP going? should we disable that option when driving Premium tanks until they fix it?

  18. - Q: “SerB, do you deny that various tanks have various chance of hitting the center of the circle?” A: “Yes, we deny. Because it’s a CONSPIRACY!!! And what kind of CONSPIRACY!!! would it be, if it wasn’t denied.”
    ___________________
Ofcourse they’ll deny that stronk sovjet KV-2 is besterest sniperu in the game. 0.6m accuracy my fucking ass. And that’s why i hit 15/15 shots with stronk IS-6, yesterday, w/o even aiming half of my shots. Everyone is feel to believe what they want and to make conspiracies of their own. I already have mine and i already wear my tinfoil hat.

    • Well, the accuracy buff in 8,6 made shots go to the center more ofte regardless of accuracy, but in theory that would still make more accurate guns hit closer to the middle more often. But yeah I feel that unaccurate troll guns are too powerfull, such as kv2 that can hit weakspots at 300 meter or so. In fact all low accuracy guns are too accurate, specialy the russian ones.
