WoT producer Anton “Evilly” Pankov made a short interview for one Russian video blog or something. In it:

Individual missions will not arrive with the 9.5 patch. They will be implemented and activated only after the Russian New Year marathon is over (15.1.2015). It’s likely that the datum is valid for EU as well, since the T-34-85M mission is ending on 15.1.2015 also. IM’s be split to seasons, with one season taking cca half a year. They will be separated by difficulty (StuG will be easy to get for everyone, while Object 260 will be obtained only by the most skilled players).

Currently, all the “leaked” numbers (requirements) from IM’s are testing versions only. Evilly also confirms that you will be able to get the woman crews, but there will also be other items as rewards for the missions: consumables, equipment, credits and premium account days.

Regarding the Russian marathon, there will be a different reward than T-34-85M for Russian server, it will be a vehicle, that “never appeared on any other server than the Chinese one”, so my guess would be WZ-111, but who knows.

Anyway, back to Evilly – developers actually developed the mechanism for renting of premium vehicles, they are testing it now. As a first step, this mechanism appears only on Chinese server and after its results, WG will decide whether to introduce it to main regions or not. Oh and about the PvE, it’s possible that the mode will have “raid bosses” á la White Tiger or Ratte.

  2. Renting VS buying… All kinds of businesses are nowadays starting to figure how attractive and monetizable it is. Now, let’s wait for pricing excerpts to figure out if it’s a bargain or another desperate money-grabbing attempt. My guess is of course the latter. Anyway, IMHO, whatever the price, it will be a nice way to figure out whether buying premium A or B is the best idea.

    • How could renting be better for the player than buying? I can’t see such a scenario aside from buying being prohibitively expensive and the player genuinely needing the tank only for a short amount of time.

      • Who says it needs to be better for the player.

        It needs to appeal to the players and make money. Player benefit (note that appeal and benefit are not the same thing) really isn’t taken into consideration here.

        The upshot is that you could retrain your crews on those x5 days using premium tanks (short rental?) and have less grind time when you come out. The other upshot is that you can try the tanks out you want to buy and then decide “Hey! I like this tank!”..

        • you do know that all the premiums tanks we have in our garage right now are “rented”? The devs can still change them whatever way they want, and when the game finally goes under (hopefully a very, very long time away) then we don’t have our tanks anymore.

        • Right. You could try out a tank on the Test server, but it would be easier to rent one first. I can see this being popular for the $50 tanks.

    i’ve Spotted 1 or 2 WZ-111 in ASIA Server.. well actually they are transfered players from Viet Server to ASIA

    But yeah, I’d also much rather have that WZ-111 than that shitty T-34-85M…

      Is that hard to read the whole phrase ?

        • Missions are more server side than client side. If the reward tanks were in the game’s files, they could literally start the missions before 9.5. I’m guessing They want to test them more before release, to avoid problems.

            This and to avoid interfering with the t-34-85m missions. Smart move from them.

            Even WG thinks that having t-34-85M (we have to play all nations tanks) and IM at the same time is too much, in Christmas and new year period.

    WTF? So is this fucker saying it will take two fucking years to get the Obj260?

    • uhhh no, misunderstood it badly.
      In the first season you can get the stug, t28, T-55, and obj260. In the second season they’ll make new reward tanks for IM most likely.

  10. How are we supposed to destroy a ratte?
    Have a Jagdpanzer E-100 drive under it with Schräge Musik configuration and blow a hole in it so a team of Panzer 1 Ausf C tanks can get into it and kill the crew?

    • Well… the Ratte was supposed to have 240 mm armor on all sides… 240 mm flat armor and as we all know every t10 vehicle that isn’t a brittish medium have over 300 mm pen with it’s default shell.

  11. Well, fuck the IM’s. Those were supposed to be “invidual” and as we saw there is absolutely nothing invidual in ‘em – everyone gets the same mission. Unless they will change their minds and actually make em invidual…

    • Don’t forget that it’s a game basically for Russians, and in Mother Russia : all that belongs to you belongs to your motherland

  12. Some of my friend have wz111 and mutant six, and yeah, we are vnese. About 30$ for only wz111 + slot, of course 2 years ago, after VN transfer to asia cluster.

    So Chinese server is their guinea pig. How many times we have heard “type59 gold! aaahhh WG cant do anything about it. M60 for gold! naaaah it’s not up to WG decision. It’s just a license.

    Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight right. xD
