Hello everyone,
player Crazytony0 was recently in the Bastogne armor museum – we already had pictures of that on FTR I think. What is however very interesting is that he got into the “garage”, a place where tanks are being repaired and restored and is not normally accessible for public. Enjoy!
The vehicles currently in (hopefuly) running condition there are the Cromwell, the M16, Stuart, both Shermans, the Patton, the IS3 (altough not in great shape), and the green Renault UE.
For me, the most interesting part is the disassembled StuG…
Awesome pics! Is the a wish list of stuff you want SS, a particular museum or vehicle?
The stuff I really want you can’t get me, mate :( But thanks!
I think you might get suprized where some of us can get.
I think you might get surprised what I want :)
Ooh I dunno we got some pretty rare stuff in the UK, some if it is underwater admittedly! But hey.
So what is the dream afv for your collection
are we sure that what you want, could be found in a tankmuseum? ;-)
Make a reward system for getting you the “surprising items you want LEGALLY”. =P
what is then Ill make it my lives mission to find it?
Maybe a US 203mm howitzer on trailer? Or the interior of a running Panzer 68?
I know a bunker-museum near my town where they have damn rare stuff, a P-47 wreck with the 50.cal guns still visible with ammo, a Me-262 wreck, 8,8cm Flak, 7,5cm Pak, Czech 57mm AT-gun, MiG-21, Mirage III, AMX13 75, MT-LB, M3 Greyhound Quad. 50.cal! :D I think that there’s a Chieftain aswell, but dunno where this tiny museum got it from. And almost everything in running condition!
very nice pictures. thanks SS
Was that a sled that i just saw. Tier 1 premium perhaps :)
When I visited this museum (with WG French community), a member from this museum said me every tanks are in running condition. At least, you can add to the list: Matilda, Hetzer, Chaffee, T34/85 (a big trace of oil was under him!) all the wheeled vehicles and… The stug III
Here is a small video of the stug from the bastogne Barracks

well, decided to tell only those wich i saw driving last year, as otherwise nearly every tank can be described driveable. That pacific tractor for instance wich is now in the garage, last year it didnt had one good tyre, so it wasnt realy driveable either.
Nice video btw
The only thing I wanna know is… How/where the hell did they get an IS-3?
My guess would be something like USSR -> Egypt -> Israel -> Belgium :)
I am pretty sure getting an is-3 was a simple matter of buying it from a poor country after the break with the USSR?
Well, that could work too, but IS-3 wasn’t exported widely – according to Wiki the list of non-USSR IS-3 operators/owners isn’t really long :)
But yeah, sometimes things find their own way to happen as they like :)
from what i have heared, it came as a kind of gift from russia. It was stored for decades in a russian/USSR reserve depot. It arrived in the port of antwerp by boat some 15 years ago, aparantly it was in great shape back then.
Nice :)
I KNOW THAT PATTON!!

it looked quite familiar, but its the same as the one at Wings and Wheels this year.
Too bad there were only 5 tanks on the show… but the patton was a nice surprise
The Firefly you can see next to the patton was on the show too
