Hello everyone,
not so long ago, I wrote about Bulgarian tanks in WW2:
And now, thanks to Trassal(RU), we can have a look what is in that museum. He took a trip there and decided to share some of the pictures with us. Let’s have a look at them :)

Staph dat…
Kebabs will be removed form the premises
what does 2pac have to do with Serbia?
Nice. If we keep in mind the bulgarian authorities don’t spend too much money on WW2 history.
They were with Axis, ofc they do not.
Very nice pictures.
I wouldn’t like to be on the receiving end on those SA-4 Ganef AA missles.
Damn they’re huge.
Good to see some of theese vehicles are renovated, last time i saw them they were rusted pieces of useless metal.
Almost all of vehicles were renovated not long ago, as far as I can see.
Right now they’re also renovating some BTR’s – but there’s a bunch of old trucks just rusting to dust on the backyard.
Mainly the Stugs and the JgPz IVs were in grave condition as far as i remember.
Now they are nicely painted pieces of useless metal.
Just one thing SS, can you use GRAU designation for russian/soviet machinery
SA-4 Ganef -> 2K11 Krug
I was about to originally, but when I saw the photo, the first thing that came to my mind was “Ganef”, not the original designation – I think the NATO names are better known.
SS, normally I wouldn’t nudge, but if I remember correctly, this variant of T-55 could fire “Bastion” guided missiles out from its gun, like the Sheridan, right?
Yes, it could.
That Jagdpanzer IV we see has fought in Hungary in the end of WW2. The veteran driver of that tank is still alive… He talked about how his commander was shot while getting out of the tank on victory day May 9th.
Can you elaborate on this story please?I would very much be interested.
If nothing else a hyperlink to more info(if there is).

Thank you mate! ;-)
Very much appreciated!

Isn’t this Hotchkiss an H38/H39, given the modified/raised engine deck?
Well, Bulgaria historically used the Renault R35… can it be that?
Given the suspension i’m quite sure it’s an Hotchkiss, maybe some lost unit within the shipment of R35′s. ;)
If I remember correct it’s a H35. There is a sign in front of it, you can ask the guy that sent you the pictures.
If there’s a sign indicating “H35″ then the sign is wrong, it is indeed a H39, recognizable, as Tank_Driver_EU said, by the raised engine deck.
The presence or not of the 37mm SA38 is not a proof of H39 or H35 as some H35 received it while some H39 had the shorter and older 37mm SA18 (which is the case for the vehicle of the pic (though the gun is missing)).
Thats a Pz IV Ausf H , if not J .
The sign said that it was Ausf.J, you can compare my picture to the Wiki image – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Panzer_IV_Ausf_J_Parola_1.jpg
J didn’t have the driver/radioman vision slits on the front superstructure sides
I know that but picture in article is signed Ausf G , still not corrected .
Late Ausf H and early/mid Ausf J was almost identical BTW … only difference was lacking extra muffler on rear in Ausf J . Some late Ausf H was using even same sprocket and idler wheels like in Ausf J ( probably effect of some field work ) .
Also has 3 return rollers, definitely not a G.
I got in the Jagdpanzer IV through the engine deck’s rear. Most of the tanks are in very poor condition.
The Su-76 lacks a floor, StuGs torsion bars are broken and the interior of the German tanks is missing.
I am looking forward, however, visiting the Museum of Battle glory in Yambol.
Most museums in former Warsaw Pact countries are like that.
Awesome, thats in my country!
Didn’t knew that their collection would be good enough to be posted here..
Will definitely bring you more photos.
I hope you navigate trough the website.

Part of those are pretty good. They contain what the museum can sell at the biggest price(probably).
I will send you pictures in the future.
От къде знаеш Български?
“Lt-35 Variant” – like, Station wagon, by vw designation? :-)

I am shocked.. They actually thought about and made a 110mpx picture of the courtyard. Astonishing!
Awesome pic, beautiful resolution for checking detail.
Do I spot finnish markins on that plane in background? Why is it there?
