Nothing exact, but… currently, the compilation of 0.8.6 patch is finalized. We can expect it soon, my guess – next tuesday RU, thursday EU

- there was a theory presented by one RU player, that it doesn’t matter how much capture points you have when the battle is over, you will recieve the same XP bonus everytime. Storm apparently disagrees, but as far as I could see he didn’t deny it specifically
- Storm specifically states that the subcaliber normalisation will be reduced for ALL the subcaliber rounds, including the tier 10 medium tank silver ones
- tank destroyer numbers for each team were never balanced as equal
- premium French arty won’t be sellable for gold the was Superpershing will be, the reason is that there were no changes in it, warranting such a measure
- Storm states that this video looks nice, but has no connection to World of Tanks
- Storm isn’t afraid that the artillery got overnerfed in 0.8.6
- alternative ways how to change arty gameplay (SS: there were some very old ideas about changing the arty gameplay, for example no satellite view) are not developed at this moment
- in 0.8.6, artillery is easier to spot. This is intended.
- in 0.8.6, subcaliber penetration loss over distance was not nerfed
- the way scouts were treated by MM on test server is the same as on the main server (SS: players were complaining about battles, where one team had one scout LT and the other had a heavy instead), the intended new LT balance mechanism won’t return in any near patches
- if you have gold camo or emblems on Superpershing, if you sell it for gold, you won’t recieve additional compensation, the price will still be the same
- WoT (PC) won’t recieve any console-style aim-assistant (SS: on console games, to compensate for the relative clumsiness of the controller, games tend to guide the aim reticle towards the target a bit)
- when multiturret mechanism is implemented, it apparently won’t be possible to upgrade the auxilliary turret, but the developers haven’t thought about this yet really
- FV4202 was changed the same way all other tanks were in 0.8.6 (SS: a player was complaining about the fact it seems less accurate than it should be)
- Chieftrain prototype will be 2nd British T10 medium, or a heavy, or replace the FV4202? “When it comes, we’ll talk about that.”
- general remodelling of all the ingame models is coming, it’s possible that it will precede the researchable hull modules
- WoT might reach the graphic level presented in the “Xbox WoT” trailer in 5-7 years (so no, WoT on PC won’t look like that)
- shooting an unspotted target counts as if you spotted it, when it comes to XP/credit calculation (eg. you get full amount)
- Object 430 and Object 430U in WoT? “No comment”
- T-50-2 switch for another tank (MT-25) is still planned
- according to SerB, “Klein Tiger” is made up (SS: this thing comes from one server, dedicated to German vehicles, called Achtungpanzer. The server is notorious for making stuff up, there are more mistakes there, not just this one).

  1. how come they are allowing the selling of the super pershing when they nerfed/changed the lowe so many times?

    they increased the size of it and decreased the size of the mantle . or maybe it because there was a lot of threads about the super pershing on the ru forum?

    even though i would never sell my lowe, its still the principle of the matter.

    • Löwe is german so you can treat it like shit. While american and russian tank must be treated like divas.

    • Apparently increasing the size of Lowe, which automatically nerfs it armor angles, crappier armor, worse camo, bigger target for arty, does not mean much to allow a refund. Yet a fucking tiny SP remodel allows it. Gimme me back my gold for Lowe you bastards!!! this aint the tank i bought back in the day!

        • Well to be fair, they didn’t take the only good thing that the Lowe had, as they seem to have severely damaged with the SP nerf. As all that thing really has going for it is armor.

      • Arty now has matchmaking of a normal tank, so VII tier arty can pound the fuck out of V tiers.

        • Arty got 1 kill.. 8.5 i’ve seen arty get 4+ kills. With the nerf arty got I really don’t see any big deal. I wont be playing my arty any more.

        Now, source quality is dubious as the author is not well known, is there any source reference on this book?

      • Depends. It’s a German book which those retards at Achtungpanzer butchered the translation (The frontal armor of the hull of 80mm was sloped, resulting in an equivalent to 160mm armor protection in the horizontal. -> It was to have 80mm thick sloped front armor and 160mm thick horizontal side armor. ).

        We’ll have to question the book itself, since we know Achtungpanzer can’t even quote a book correctly.

        • What is weird there is the gun.

          The 10H64 reached prototype stage in 1945 so a december 1944 project might fit, however it’s not something you’d want to mount on an expensive platform.
          The 8H63 was accurate up to 750m, while the 10H64 (the gun mentioned there) could be used up to 1000m, a pretty low distance by german standards.

          The only turreted tank coming to mind with such a cannon is a panzer 38(d) planned variant that used the 10H64 in a variant of the simplified Panzer IV turret project.
          We’re talking about a lighter project here though, basically a turreted Hetzer which would have made for a nice high tier light in WOT.

  4. Hey do somebody know what happens with this issue? Currently M7 Priest gets t3 and all the xp u grinded get with it… so if u haven’t unlocked M41 atm u get a t3 with many xp… but the following t4 is the M37 which u had to unlock on your way to M7 priest… so u have a lot of useless xp at t3 and 0 xp at t4 for the grind to M41 so WG is laughing about u 2times… -.-
    Gets this fixed?!

      • yeah I know, but what’s the sense about it? Everyone gets who grind M7 Priest gets trolled -.-
        But if u have M37 u get a t4 tank and the xp u have grinded goes with it on t4 and M7 Priest as an t3 gets unlocked… so M37drivers have an advantage of this new artytree while M7 Priest drivers get an disadvantage. That’s not fair in my eyes… wherefore did I played the M7 Priest if I now get in an better situation while just have reached t3 instead of t4 ?

    Can anyone explain this? I wasn’t aware subcaliber rounds had any different rules for them.

    • All APCR-classified rounds get a normalization amount of 2 degrees. Regular AP gets 5 degrees of normalization.

    Rofl….and few months from now they’ll admit it’s true(because it really feels like that) just like with TD/arty XP modifier being 33% less than regular tanks….and then SerB will say that Storm shouldn’t say that publicly and then he’ll continue with his regular trolling….they are making fools of themselve..

    • They have been making fools of themselves for months now… If not years. And somehow WoT is still growing. Although it could be due to the fact that unless you dig for info, and for SerB, you don’t see what asses they are. Nor do you hear about them in regular chat. In that sense WG is luck in another it will suffer like hell some day due to those two idiots just killing the PR.

      I think WoT could be 2x as good as it is now with just some decent PR people who stay on top of developments and communicate with the people playing the game minus the troll crap. AND be on time with the right info the first time around and none of this Paris WG Staff BS that EU community has to deal with.

    I think they probably referred to a CGI trailer….because wot xbox looks like shit. They havent played BF1943 i guess. Even today its graphics shits all over World of Tanks.

    • I’ll take BF1942 max graphics over WOT. Esp the moddded graphics from say Forgotten Hope and Forgotten Hope Secret Weapons. The plant detail was not always the best but the tanks sure looked slick. FHSW is still being updated with new stuff.

      • Men of War, and any member of the Company of Heroes series looks ages better than Wot, and you know those things have even more complicated things than tanks. And they are strategy games. And they have less income. Oh and did I mention they run a hell of a lot better?

        • The way WOT runs is insane. I can run BF 1942 with a both cores and on max graphics and no lag but cant do that on WOT and WOT looks like crap in order to get it to run…=/

          And that even over the internet, on BF 1942. =(

    That is if Storm’s goal is push & pull more individuals towards tank destroyers?

    Majority of the top NA clans have lots of heavies, however only Havok clan possesses two or more tank destroyer each member on average. If Wargaming Minsk is still based on a ‘move up’ economy to make $$$, then they’ll nerf a whole class to sell more vehicles. Bluntly put tank destroyers are an easier sell, than artillery is presently.

    Being in a minority group, artillery are being nerf’ed to death to appease the non-artillery player majority. If this Wargaming Minsk biased continues, perhaps its time for myself to leave this game….

    • I find that the artillery are still more than playable, you just need some more patience and trying to have some teamwork. Platoons work nicely for this.

    Laughed hard lol xD apparently a few graphics tweaks such as :

    - increased bloom effects+new colour here and there
    - some shitty new explosions effects
    - worse looking textures
    - bit better tank models ( which WG said the tank models reworking is coming soon on PC)

    Are to be reached after 5-7years on PC. Either someone mistranslated this, or WG just went full soviet 360 product propaganda retard.

  10. I like the fact that WG doesn’t have the brain capacity to use a proper game engine like Unreal Engine 3/4 or something and fills it with anti-cheating software or modify it to meet server standards like most game studios does.
    Pathetic, they choose a game engine that’s already hit it’s limit and causes high performance strain on their servers.
    With something like Unreal Engine 3,5 they could have way better graphics, way better physics and overall an easier time to develop and it also would have ALLOT better performance on most computers. But WG Is to busy makin’ money, not like they ever care about the players

    • And if you gave a damn and actually did some research you’d find out exactly why they are using the shitty BigWorld engine, and why exactly they picked it over all the other shit out there in the markets, including Unreal.
      But no, why the fuck should someone actually research a topic, it’s way better to go bitching about stuff like this!
