- there will be no Belarussian or Ukrainian language mutation (“for each extra language, a patch will come 1 day later”)
- it’s not yet decided, whether you will be able to “see” Havok events, that happen outside your field of view (SS: as in, for example, a tank gets shot and some box mounted on the outside flies off under client physics, it’s possible this information won’t be transferred if it happens outside of your field of view, so in your case, the tank will still have the box, despite on his computer, it got torn off)
- Israeli branch won’t come for now

- it’s possible that in the future, ST-I will lose the M62 122mm gun and will have the ST-II option instead (two linked D-25mm guns)
- Soviet tanks didn’t have drum loaders, but did have automatic loaders of other type
- for now, hiding your player stats from others is not planned
- Object 268 in game has correct size, WG specifically measured it in Kubinka
- IS-4 armor slope is historical, despite various sources claiming various data: “That’s because such mistakes were within the factory accuracy limits. One T-28 had one side 15cm longer than the other and nothing happened.”
- OTO Melara M60A1 won’t be Italian top tier
- KV-5 gun won’t be changed
- no changes planned for Lowe
- DL43 Nahuel in game? “No comment”
- the turret of the Firefly will be “standard” (SS: some player claimed it had two loaders – it didn’t. SerB: “Recruited gnomes?”) – in real life, some Fireflies had the machinegunner removed and additional ammo inserted on his place
- Q: “Will Panzer II Ausf.J penetration be changed?” A: “Yes, it will be decreased two times”
- no special tanks for historical battles (SS: as in separate unlockable branch)
- VK3001P will not recieve 105mm L/52, SerB mockingly states he doesn’t believe that the vehicle could carry it
- T110E5 is doing fine statistically
- T-50-2 never had any engine stronger than 300hp historically
- both T-50 and T-50-2 hulls shared the common turret (ring), therefore the “improved armament” version (57mm/76mm can be applied to both)
- Q: “What’s the chance of 128mm L/66 appearing in the 2nd German TD line?” A: “The same chance as finding it in serious literature”
- it’s theoretically possible that the change of firefighting mechanism will bring crew perk reset for free (“if needed and we decide, what’s needed”)
- ZIS-6 was mounted (not projected, only mounted) on SU-122 chassis too, apart from the KV series
- no plans to make VK3001P a heavy
- if/when additional armor appears in the game as a module/equipment, players won’t be able to allocate its thickness
- it’s possible that VK4502P will drop to tier 8 and will be replaced by a Maus prototype, but not confirmed
- arty nerf results: “no comment for now”
- mission interface (SS: “XXXX kills left to complete mission” for example) within the game will come in 8.8
- language indicator on loging screen will be implemented
- the latest achievements added (Spartan and others) were designed by the same people, who did the other ones
- German 50mm L/60 accuracy won’t be buffed

  1. - it’s possible that VK4502P will drop to tier 8 and will be replaced by a Maus prototype, but not confirmed

This makes sense with the mediums dropping down and changing to heavies – this’ll drop the VK4502A to tier 7, the B to 8 and leaves room for this prototype.

    • And grind all the new modules for the new tier 9 because the days of freebies are over …… at this point I’d be surprised if they give us the new tier 9/garage slot

    • With this: – it’s possible that VK4502P will drop to tier 8 and will be replaced by a Maus prototype, but not confirmed

I have a fairly large issue. The Maus was just a prototype to begin with, so essentially we will be getting a prototype of a prototype?

      • there were actually 2 built, it was past the prototype phase, i read somewhere before that more production could began but,the factory was taken over/destroyed by russians

        • Just… no. Please read even Wikipedia’s worth of actual history of that white ekephant.

  2. Maus Prototype Oo…that is really amazing… Another fat german hightier heavy that is underpowered against the td-penetration :-(

      • Maus and E-100 ARE Underarmored. When they’re driven by noobs and you shoot them with Obj 268 gold that is

        • Maus II should go on top, Maux tier IX, Maus Proto tier VIII and VK tier VII.
Tiger P without the extra armor would fit tier VI, especially if given the Zis 6 – like 105mm L/47.

          • Are there really enough differences between the Maus I & II to justify them as two tanks?

  3. - it’s possible that VK4502P will drop to tier 8 and will be replaced by a Maus prototype, but not confirmed
would this be as a standalone tank or as a hull upgrade for the 4502? (i dont know by how much this was or wasnt the same tank)
-One T-28 had one side 15cm longer than the other and nothing happened
Seriously? such big manufactoring tollerences? How does that work? I would love to see a picture of that tank lol

    • Not exactly a bad thing… the Ferrari 250 GTO is one of the most coveted and sought-after cars in the world and one side’s door was 30cm longer than the other because the entire body was hand-forged and hammered into shape.

      • I read an article about a company that “fixes” some of those old Ferraris – both sides symmetrical, all body seams and door gaps the same size all the way around. It’s a hideously expensive project.

      • T-28s were pretty much out of production once the war started IIRC – they sure weren’t going to bother with building more of those clunkers with the T-34 available.

I’d guess that’d boil down to semi-craftmanship “file to fit” manufacturing techniques, T-28 being AFAK of a vintage before the Soviets got into truly serious industrial mass production of tanks. Plus IIRC the design received a constant stream of minor improvements over its production run anyway.

    • Most countries was really bad at tolerances during the war. Precision engineering was just entering the world and only a few countries had a hang of it during the war.

      • Actually it had more to do with the kinds of markets the peacetime industries serviced. The US was way ahead of everyone in true industrial mass-production techniques simply because it was an enormous, single internal market with a fair bit of purchasing power – to meet the demand production at maximum efficiency and “economies of scale” was the order of the day.
The Brits came relatively close behind what with having until fairly recently been the “workshop of the world”, and the Soviets were learning to be pretty good at it as their growing industrial complexes were called on to supply all manner of machinery and whatnot for increasingly large parts of the enormous state.

The other European states’ industries were at best at the “semi-craftsman” stage where only the initial crude production stages were truly industrialised and the final fitting of the parts to each other was still done by hand. Case in point, when the Americans were delivered the blueprints of (IIRC) the excellent Bofors autocannon those had notes that literally read “drill and file to fit” – unsurprisingly the ‘Murricans routinely made adjustements for proper assembly-line production.

  4. - Soviet tanks didn’t have drum loaders, but did have automatic loaders of other type
Is he reffering to these autoloaders mounted from the T-64 onwards? Because they won’t make it in to the game at all, being too modern.

    - the turret of the Firefly will be “standard” (SS: some player claimed it had two loaders – it didn’t. SerB: “Recruited gnomes?”) – in real life, some Fireflies had the machinegunner removed and additional ammo inserted on his place
Which also means that with the standard turret, it has only a gun depression of -5° I guess?

    - it’s possible that in the future, ST-I will lose the M62 122mm gun and will have the ST-II option instead (two linked D-25mm guns)
175 pen in tier 9? NO WAY!! (There is the BL-9 but it still only has ~220 pen)

    - Q: “What’s the chance of 128mm L/66 appearing in the 2nd German TD line?” A: “The same chance as finding it in serious literature”
Ok so I am not sure..in the best case we get the 128mm L/61 which works fine. In the worst case its just the puny 128mm L/55. That would not be good at all.

    - it’s possible that VK4502P will drop to tier 8 and will be replaced by a Maus prototype, but not confirmed
Since both VK4502Ps are unhistorically buffed…here things get complicated. The VK3001P works fine as tier 6 med.
Tiger P has bolted add-on armor from the Ferdinand, but this was the only that single Tiger P that was fielded, with that add-on armor. Besides with that, otherwise the armor would be identical with the Tiger H so it would be redunant, the bolted armor should stay. And then it would fit in tier 7.
Didn’t they mention that they wanted to unify both VK4502 into a weaker one that may fit in tier 7 or 8 while filing the empty tiers with maus prototypes?

    • 175 pen in tier 9? NO WAY!! (There is the BL-9 but it still only has ~220 pen)

SerB talked about it with more details ealier. Yes, penetration is bad, but DPM will be crazy. He said “Flank”.

And there are subcaliber shells after all.

      • Even with these APCR shells that have about 217 pen (that have only 2° of shell normalization) and 300 pen HEAT shells..good luck flanking with the slowest heavy tank in tier 9 (its not that slow, but still)

Even with a DPM of about 4000….not sure if it will work.

Then you have to grind the IS-4 with the puny aftermentioned 175 pen gun until you get the M62…unless you played the IS-8.

        • 210 mm pen is enough at tier 9, T54E1 and T-54 both are called the best tier 9 mediums.

With good DPM (wel, they will not give us 4k DPM for sure) it might be very interesting and non-ordinal vehicle.

        • Yeah, for all these reasons I don’t know if that would be a good idea, I’d accept if they give the option for both the M62 and the ST-II. I could also see the ST-II concept working as a premium tank(though I don’t know if WG is willing to make Tier 9 premiums).

    • “Is he reffering to these autoloaders mounted from the T-64 onwards? Because they won’t make it in to the game at all, being too modern.”

The IS-7 has an autoloader for example. Big rack thing the mechanism pulled the shells and propellant charges from, going by the photo someone dug up a while ago. The loaders’ job was to keep the autoloader topped up…

  5. 105mm L/52 was pretty unlikely to fit, given that even Rheinmetall improved 88 L/56 was discarded because of mounting issues.

That said, if Tiger P is dropped to tier VI and looses the extra armor the 105 L/47 could be a good way to buff the tank.

  6. - mission interface (SS: “XXXX kills left to complete mission” for example) within the game will come in 8.8

Finally ! Well, I asked for that on EU forum in the Question thread and they said that new info about that will be in next ASAP video …

    • If anything it would be (bit) closer to Heavy Tank from RA1. Though IIRC these were modeled* as T-72 with twin barrels

*in FMV or cameos in production tab.

    • So am I to understand that it will have two coaxial main guns?

There the C&C fanatic in me is gonna have a massive boner: Can you say Apocalypse tank?

I can just hear the crews saying “soviet power supreme” and “these will be your final moments” before pulling the trigger :).

  7. Maybe they should move the MAUS to tier 9, replace it with the E-100 and then move E-75 to tier X, Tiger II to tier 9 and VK45 A over instead…

    VK45 A -> Tiger II -> E-75
    VK45 B -> MAUS -> E-100

Most likely some technical difficulties and people might dislike splitting the 2 E-series tanks, but removing a top gun from the ausf. B and reducing the MAUS hitpoints by 1000 hp would be a few rough ideas, while the Tiger II most likely need a bigger gun or much better RoF? E-75 just need more HP and aiming/reload buff…

    • Yeah… let’s make a total hash of the fact that you dropped the Henschel Tiger, mixed the Henschel and Porsche trees into a mess that makes no evolutionary sense whatsoever.

That idea is bad and you should feel bad for making it. /Kankou/Daigensui-moment ;)

        • honestly not feeling bad at all – However I fully realize it makes no logic sense historically. Though E-75 as tier X would give the german tree a good alternative to the super heavy tanks as the E-75 and E-100 was concepted to work side by side?
Anyway I doubt any suggestions from me in these comments would reach any further which is why I didn’t hesitate to brainfart out loud ;-)

          • IIRC the E-100 had gotten axed out of the agenda by the time the E-50/75 combo was put on the table. As had the Maus; I’m guessing Speer managed to explain the economics to his boss.

        • And how will you model this “breakdown rater”? Every 1 km or so the Maus just stops moving by itself?

    • I would be happier if the tree would look like:
      VK 45.02 -> E-100 -> Maus
      Tiger 2 -> E-75 -> E-75 with rear transmission (like the E-50m)

      • Maus II should go on top, Maux tier IX, Maus Proto tier VIII and VK tier VII.
Tiger P without the extra armor would fit tier VI, especially if given the Zis 6 – like 105mm L/47.

E-100 could instead use the discussed 1500HP engine, that would give him some much needed agility.

        • …I think the Germans have enough Ahnenerbe sci-fi engines at the top tiers already, thanks.

  8. - it’s possible that in the future, ST-I will lose the M62 122mm gun and will have the ST-II option instead (two linked D-25mm guns)

Dont steal my gun from my lovely ST 1!!!

        • Honestly RoF makes up for bad penetration as long you can go for weakspots reliably. I can see a few 175mm pen stock tier 9s that doesnt totally underperform :-) Hopefully though 175mm will never be the top gunnery system for a tier 9…

          • “–as long you can go for weakspots reliably.”

Yeah this IS the soviet 122′s we’re talking about here you know.

            • You mean 0.46 m accuracy and 3.4 s aim time does not make a good sniper? Who would have guessed?

            • The 107mm on my T-150 is better in that regard, and even then half the time the enemy has eaten lunch, taken a nap and wandered away by the time the aimcircle has fully shrunk.
Still tends to be larger than the target, too.

      • Twin-linked derpy 122s at tier IX would just pad out peoples’ potential damage received with unsurpassed efficiency.

Now, the M62 gun does have the same barrel length, so it’s possible/likely that at least a part of its performance comes from superior ammo, but still…

        • If the ST-II has 217 pen APCR as normal and 300 pen HEAT as gold, it’ll be a good vehicle. Good players will abuse the shit out of that, but it will “do fine statistically”.

  9. Although I’ve been expecting it since researchable hulls was mentioned, as one of those weird 4502 lovers the prospect of loosing the 4502b saddens me. Beyond me needing a good “how terrible” however, it would be interesting to see how one of the maus prototypes would fit as a tier 9 tank. From what internet lurking I’ve done the armour on the vk100.01 and 205 prototypes was somewhat naff (between 100 to 140mm sloped frontal armour – no idea what the turret armour would be). I guess the gun could be a redeeming factor should it get the 15cm which was apparently planned; though then your final tank might well be a slightly pudgy T30 with less curves up top.

    • I’m quite confident that the devs could tweak the armour at least a bit- all but the final Maus and the proposed upgraded turret was only on paper anyway, and they wouldn’t have to make it ridiculously overbuffed (such as the 45.02B having 170 frontal armour and 100 side armour instead of the planned 80/80, and a 12.8cm gun instead of the long 88).

  10. >>- there will be no Belarussian or Ukrainian language mutation (“for each extra language, a patch will come 1 day later”)

Because they are part of Great Mother Russia and NO separatistic actions (like eg. their own language) will be accepted!

    • Technically Crimea is really a part of Russia that Stalin gave away to Ukraine, I’m so confused right now…

      • Technically Crimea is just patch of waterless land capable of like 100k people living on it if there will be enough rains. Current population of 3 million plus tourists is totally depends on water from Ukraine. It was main reason why Crimea was passes under jurisdiction of the Ukraine.

If russians so eager to get this patch of land back they should build water suply from Kavkaz to Crimea. It is technically possible and it will be cheaper than Sochi Olympic Games.

      • No worries, volunteers can supply any amount thereof. You don’t even need to ask. :v

  11. >>- Israeli branch won’t come for now

Because we support Arab Regimes and we prefer to sell them our tanks, which are then easier to copypaste in the game…

    • It’s ironic that there’s Israel’s flag in the game while most Arab countries haven’t been featured yet…

    • Faaaaail. The relevant IDF hardware – you can Right Out forget about the Merk – basically boils down to Pattons, Centurions and AMX-13s which as you may have noticed are already in the game. Plus weird&wonderful Sherman mutations which have “premium material” written all over them and will probably turn up one day once WG gets around to it.

    • Not sure why there’s been so much talk of an Israeli branch in the first place, This is a country that didn’t even exist until after most of the game’s tanks were made, and didn’t design any of its own tanks until decades later.OK, I guess you can make a similar argument against the Chinese, but they actually existed and participated in WW2 and had indigenous tank production soon afterwards(even if much of it consisted of copying Russian designs), so they do *barely* fit in my opinion. Can’t say the same about Israel.

      • At the rate the game is going, most of the tanks will be from after 1948.

In either case, there’s only a handful of unique tanks worth including. We have three upgraded Shermans (one Egyption), a regunned M48, a regunned T54 and a whole pile of repainted tanks we already have. Release the Shermans together as a “collector’s three-pack” and call it a day.

      • At least the tanks would differ a bit (using tanks from all nations) instead of differently scaled T-54s like most of the Chinese tree.. maybe WG can dig up some Merk prototypes that would fit WOT (doubt they’d be good tho, prolly another FV4202)

        In any case I just want a Tiran (T-54 with 105mm L7)..

        • >In any case I just want a Tiran (T-54 with 105mm L7)..
          Instead you’ll get Type 79 (Type 59 with 105 L7).

  12. >>One T-28 had one side 15cm longer than the other and nothing happened.”

    Fuuuuuu….
I’d still like to see pictures of such tank :) . Russian accuracy. What about the guns?

    • Some sort of fully automated fire extinguishers. I suppose if your crew has firefighting made up to 100%, the “normal” extinguisher will work sooner than in case of crew without that skill. Prem extinguisher will work on moment’s notice. Am I right?

  13. I wish they’d change the gun on the KV-5. It’s the same damn gun on the T-150, KV-2, KV-3 and KV-4 (stock). If it’s a variant to the ZiS-6 107mm, which it is. Then just increase the pen and damage by about 5-10%, for cripes sake.

      • People who don’t like the dynamics of le Trollcannon. *raises hand*
Mind, I swapped the big box for a T-150 as soon as I got that stupid S-51 researched.

  14. there will be no Belarussian or Ukrainian language mutation

Once again, shortening info looses some senses and gains some new senses.

First, the original question wasn’t about belorussian and ukrainian languages in particular. Question was about adding new languages in general – belorussian and ukrainian were given as example.

Second, Serb’s denial wasn’t given as final decision, his answer was “isn’t planned for now”. Also Serb has stated that in case of Belorussia and Ukraine russian language is enough from business point of view, not much needed to spent more resources for translation to native languages.

You have to agree it sounds a bit different from categoric there will be no …

  15. “- the turret of the Firefly will be “standard” (SS: some player claimed it had two loaders – it didn’t. SerB: “Recruited gnomes?”) – in real life, some Fireflies had the machinegunner removed and additional ammo inserted on his place”

and that’s where you’d be wrong Silent (Sort of).

In a firefly the hull MG was removed and a spare set of Ammo racks installed. The soldier who occupied this position assisted with loading by passing the rounds up to the guy in the turret. So he is often credited as a loader, as his only job in the tank was to hand shells up into the turret.

This was entirely optional and as the UK ran out of manpower in late 44 its likely the practice was discontinued. Especially as those racks were often not considered “ready” ammo and could often be empty.

    • since wot doesnt handle each ammo rack position separately, it doesnt really make sense to have an another loader just for this. The firefly will just come without the MG ammo rack, like there wasnt even anything.

  16. M60A1 huh? What branch would you think it will fit? I hope US..I’ve wanted the M60 since I joined and since they had put one in as a reward for only the special players I can’t get it So a Branch related in the US would be greatly favored

    • what would be great is if the guns fired at the same time and reloaded like normal guns. the gun stats could look like this:
      damage:390(2x)/390(2x)/460(2x)
      pen:201/268/61
      acc:0.39
      aim:2.9
      rof:6.79
      dpm:5296

      • I thought of that too, but it seems a little bit overpowered. A 2-shot autoloader could be balanced more easily.

    • hell no autoloader, since it loads in clips.
it needs a new mechanics, where you got a two shot autoloader style system, but with each gun having its own load timer, an as soon as you fire one gun, it starts loading again, so you dont have to shoot both to start loading the first.

  17. “- there will be no Belarussian or Ukrainian language mutation”

I hope they will differentiate between British and Northamerican accents aswell.
It’s all english but for me it’s far more realistic thus far more enjoyable if the british crews speak UK accents.

      • Oh I see, somehow I thought it was the national voices to be introduced in next patch.
        Thanks for pointing that out.
Well let me suggest these voices come with appropriate, correct accent.

        Cheers

  18. I didn’t know where to put this , but i Will put it here :D . Don’t judge me :D
If someone did know that already don’t judge me :D

So something about jap tanks , more about O-I heavy tank – There was 4 versions of them . Yes there was that 120 t and 100 t versions but there are 2 more (maybe 2 of them have same hulls but turrets have changed)

    So there are pics:

    “Original” O-I – http://www.bildites.lv/images/rbjgw6gtmbafnwwa2fah.jpg
    120 t prototype – http://www.bildites.lv/images/caqvmttk1rojqoq9het.jpg
    3rd variant – http://www.bildites.lv/images/lngr9yvltey2ga1a9z0.jpg
    4th variant – http://www.bildites.lv/images/au1fx63s9sfy2kdpd4iw.jpg

And this is just for the info , dont write nasty things ;) :D

  19. There’s no Belarussia or Belorussia… It’s called BELARUS. So the language is BELARUSIAN. Get you facts straight ffs.
