- next CW update will apparently bring gold transactions log for clans
- according to Tanitha (SEA server), there will be a transfer possibility to SEA in the future
- the Chinese Type 34 with 57mm gun is not the Soviet T-34/57 exported to China, the Chinese mounted the gun themselves
- maps bigger than 1000x1000m are not made, because “a) it needs client optimization so that the majority of players could play them b) it needs somewhat different gameplay”
- Standard (old) graphic will not be removed in 0.9.0 (SS: some guy feared they would be removed, Storm stated he doesn’t know of any such plans)
- Storm confirms that the “arty HE shell kills no more than half or 3/5 of your crew” rule applies only when the shell doesn’t penetrate
- Jagdmaus is not planned for now


- according to SerB, the best cooperation between WG and an archive/museum was with Saumur in France, Bovington is not bad either, but SerB states that since the WG EU office is in Paris, it was easier for geographic reasons

- no global buff for vehicles relying on accuracy is planned (SS: a player was whining that before the increased gun accuracy buff, only accurate vehicles could work on long distances, but now even previously inaccurate vehicles can slug it out with snipers at long distances)
- Storm doesn’t think that the gun accuracy buff led to some vehicles being seriously OP
- accurate guns themselves won’t be recieving a buff (to differentiate them from less accurate guns)
- the red line map edge barrier won’t be removed, Storm doesn’t like this solution (when arties are for example standing with the back to this arbitrary line and light tanks can’t circle around them), but they don’t consider any other solution viable. The El-Halluf type borders (where the map is bordered by sea/rocks) was not possible everywhere, as it wouldn’t look natural – a player suggested “quicksand” or terrain with 0 passability, SerB states it would look artificial
- removing the arty hardcap would not improve the battle waiting times according to Storm
- the separation of random and company/CW statistics has “normal” priority: “it’s done when it’s done”
- spotting damage in player statistics will be implemented

- apparently, the missions window is bugged in the sense that “battles remaining until the mission is completed” are not working, same goes for XP and damage counts, it will be fixed (RU server only?)
- apparently, the sticking of the aim reticle to terrain feature won’t be fixed, as it is basically a feature of the engine (SS: at least that’s how I understand it)
- Maus is doing fine statistically
- not all tanks with increased credit gain coefficient are premium vehicles
- roaming will come “when it’s done”, it’s possible (“will be considered”) that in connection with roaming there will be an option to permanently migrate for example to EU server
- while its too early to tell anything about the roaming mechanism yet, it’s possible “crowds of noobs” will be prevented from using it by a winrate limit and by limiting the roaming to players, who haven’t been punished for spamming and profanity in chat (only recent punishments will be considered apparently)
- when a premium tank gold price gets lowered, there will be no compensations to those who bought it for the old price
- Q: “Will the Chieftain be implemented as tier 10 medium tank instead of FV4202?” A: “No, because in game terms, Chieftain is a heavy”
- it’s possible that when tank tipping over is implemented, the ramming mechanism will be changed too

Things that had some wonky firing before at range, like the BL-10 ISU-152, was “balanced” by this reason alone. WG will try to sneak anything in they can to give the “home” team the advantage.

        • The russians are most used because they are the most noob friendly. There is a lower skill requirement to do acceptable in the Russian tanks.You can be a bad player and do as good as an average player when in a russian tank. If your in any other nation if your a bad player you will do bad.
          Good player in any other nation = good player in russian
          Bad player in russian = average player in any other nation
          average player in russian = above-average player in any other nation.

          But russians when played by good players are equal to other nations. Its just that swarms of bads play them because they require less skill to not suck with them.

          • If performs equally or better than others when played at similar skill level, it is more than equal, or BETTER, tank.

            So if bads swarm Sovjet tanks, their WRs are lower than than tanks of comparative strength. Since their WRs are generally on the level, one can almost deduce they are… Better.

            Next time think it through when you compose an argument.

            • Actually bothered to check RU server stats, and I find that you’re wrong. Soviets lag at tiers 3 and 10 (you probably only checked the latter), otherwise they are strongly average.

              RU server WR for Soviet tanks are a terrible performance indicator. There’s more Soviet tanks there than other tanks COMBINED, which means that they can never get good WRs because they’re mostly fighting against other Soviet tanks. Thus any advantage is cancelled by other team fielding the same tank.

              KV-1S has average stats? It bloody well should have, after all it is played more than twice what all the other tier 6 heavies COMBINED. FYI, a massive over-representation is an indicator that a tank might be OP.

              So again, think it through.

        • I can give you kv 1s (which is gonna get nerfed ) . But tier8 tcs are a mix of t 32,is3, t69, amx 50.. .

        • Thing is the tanks with the M2 Medium suspension were actually made in some numbers, compared to the E-100 which only had a prototype that wasn’t even halfway done.

        • While we’re nitpicking, E100 had the exact same suspension as the panther and tiger type tanks, which were build in some quantity.

          The point I’m trying to drive across is, while many new variants, especialy in the german tree, of tanks based on existing models provoke a response that could be observed above, apparently the many sherman models are extempt from this rule, as shown every time firefly or super shermans are mentioned…

          • That’s because the Sherman variants all play somewhat differently. The M4 at tier 5 is a combination brawler/flanker.

            The Jumbo is like a surrogate Heavy tank but is nevertheless used like its predecessor.

            The Easy 8 is an aggressive flanker

            Once added, the Firefly will essentially be a turreted tank destroyer, with the same 17-pounder gun as on the TOG II*, and the Super Sherman will be similar to the Easy 8.

            Compare this to the T-54 and its Chinese knockoffs; they all pretty much play the exact same way.

            This game is way past adding stuff to enrich gameplay. Now it’s just stuff because it existed in some form, because it means more grinding, and to keep viktor from laying off the 3d artists, some of them most likely being wg founders themselves.

      • I’d complain about all the T-54 variations there are. With the T-54 and all of the Chinese knockoffs, it’s ridiculous, and the IS-series barely fairs any better (the tier 8,9 and 10 Chinese Heavies are all based on the IS-3).

Having a TD with little to no protection, with a gun that has miserable penetration (even with gold shells), with poor mobility, huge as fuck…. it just wouldn’t work, regardless of how good the autoloader is. (Not to mention the fucking thing is so obviously exposed at the front of the tank)

    • Thats like asking how anything past the Hummel in the spg line even exists… A Panzer IV hull is fine for such a large gun. Its all about how you mount it to deal with the recoil. Plus the gun is usually not going to be hugging another tank… So sit back and rain down fire at long range and don’t do anything stupid… The E-100 hull for Tier X is just a stupid idea.

    If the Panzer IV can handle that bigass 15cm cannon at tier 9, then a Waffentrager Panther or something would work at tier 10, regardless of whether or not it looks comically unbalanced.

      Apparently that’s true. From my understanding, SerB mostly plays Tank Destroyers, and probably the KV-1S given how hard he’s tried to prevent it from being nerfed.

      Chinese Tank Destroyers and Arty, the British Lend-Lease branch and light tanks above tier 5, another American medium line, another Soviet medium line…

    On redshire at the top of the map you can leave the red mark and arty cant hit you there as it cannot aim outside.

    ISU 152 can now one shot AMX 50 100 from 500 meters without full aiming ..

    1: Move invisible wall to the actual edge of the map.
    2: Area between the invisible wall and red line becomes no man’s land. When a tank moves into this area a count down is started(like when you get into deep water) and a warning appears that you’re leaving the combat area. If the count down reaches zero your tank explodes or your crew dies.
    3: Remove red line.

    No invisible wall. Nothing that looks fake. Just a bit more of the map you can use if you’re quick and a good way to die if you’re stupid.

    • I agree make it just like it was in BF games. Just say outside the map is within artillery range or a minefield (on some maps there are already mine field signs near the edge of the map implying that that is why you can’t go past the red line anyway.)

      Or they could just throw out tank traps. Nothing THAT unusual about a wall made of tank traps in WW2.

    Is he referring to tanks or airplanes? Either way…what could still be classified on tanks/airplanes that are now approaching 60-70 years old?

    • Nobody having gotten around to declassifying the stuff, duh. Sort of like how some ridiculously ancient and obscure pieces of legislation have survived in the dark recesses of law books remarkably long simply because they’re totally irrelevant and nobody could be bothered to junk them.

    • As an example it it still illegal to hitch a horse in some places to a light pole/lamp post. The same goes for a giraffe, elephant and, yes, a donkey. There are so many old laws on the books still its not funny but nobody removes them because there has been no reason to. In most cases.
      .
      As for classified material its a long process that can take years to go through the files and declassify them. The hard part is figuring out who has control over the files and who has the final say in allowing the process to even start. It might be two different agency’s and be stored by a third agency. Or it could be stupid simple. But each file is different so the whole process is a royal pain in the ass.

  26. Don’t fall to the scams of the SEA server management fellas.

    If SEA server transfer becomes available, DON’T FREAKING DO IT. It’s a server filled with COWARDICE and LEMMINGS, not to mention that English communication is terrible there. Read from other forums that English communications on EU server is a bit bad, now imagine it multiplied by 20 folds, that’s how terrible SEA is.

    Better Ping is not worth of having for a terrible playerbase.

    Chieftain is not going to impress anyone with its armour… The biggest baddest massivly armoured tanks are already in this game and they are mostly blueprint or fake tanks, and real tanks like Chieftain can’t compete with them in terms of armour, just as most tanks that were used for active service for the time period of this game are not impressive when it comes to armour..

    Chieftain will have a 76 mm LFP with not so great sloping, and an 85 mm glacis with a very heavy slope, but shell normalization will hurt its effectiveness.

    The side armour will be too thin to stop anything, and although the turret will be bouncy, I am expecting it to be like the Foch 155, hard to get through with AP, until you load APCR and penetrate every shot, so no invincible Russian stile turret for us.

    And to top it all off, WG wont even give it the L11 gun, which would be the only real saving grace of this tank. I’ll still get it though! I got 250k free exp that I built up over the months without converting for gold, so by the time this tank is added I should have enough exp to get it fast.

        • WG logic on what is heavy/medium/light is retarded. German mediums the size of an IS-7 LOL. Now we have Brit main battle tanks (which are all mediums in other trees, 62a, 54 etc) being classed as Heavies just because they don’t want to put them into the game.

          • don’t forget the ammo rack issue in addition to the poor turret armour layout as compared to the other mediums.
            FYI I ditched my FV for the cent 7/1. ammo rack is the cent’s curse, but at least it has a tough turret.

        • I am disappointed as well, Chieftain would make a better medium than a heavy, following on from the slow Centurions, it would would even have the same play stile.

          Making it a heavy means the Chieftain will be another heavy tank that cant perform the roll of a heavy because it dose not have the armour to fight it out with E-100′s, T110E5′s, IS-7 ect…

          E-50 is heavier ffs… I was hoping for a British medium armed with a heavy gun like the Chinese medium branch.

          Even if the added a super gimped version of the L11, it would still be better then giving it the L1A1 from the Conqueror, and WG gimp lots of guns, so not as though that’s any surprise

  30. WG chose the E-100 chassis for tier 10 German TD WT E-100 and not the Waffenträger one, because “the light chassis cannot carry a gun heavy enough” (SS: bullshit, there were 128mm/150mm WT’s planned)

  31. T1 Heavy gold has got to be a typo. I’ve got a great record in mine and I’m fairly sure that I’ve never fired a gold round out of it. M1A1′s pen is great for Tier 5.

  32. About the borders of the maps and artillery… maybe the corners of maps could be rounded or angled

    Also, I often can’t see the red border (due minor colour-blindness). It should be thicker or darker.
