  1. For the leavers, is it possible, besides the zero XP/credits, to ban them from Garage Battle mode for a week each time they do it and and out and out ban on that mode if they do more than three times?

      • I wouldn’t ask for identical mm tiers, their are plenty of tanks that thrive past their mm bracket. However, I’d say forcing at least 1overlapping tier would be adequate. So a tier 7 medium can platoon with a tier 9 but a tier 6 couldn’t unless its a scout. Additionally the xp modifier you get based on tier is equal to the lowest tier that that battle is supposed to see. In the previous example if the T7 medium ended up in a T8-10 battle it would get the T8 modifier not T7 (you obviously only get the scout tier if you are a scout).

        This solves a few problems: no E100 with T1 platoons, and discourages over tiering as you get no bonus xp like you do now. However you are still allowed to say bring a Tiger I into T10 or a Matilda into T7 (where they are quite capable of carrying a team)

        • Some times I like platooning so my loltractor sees tier 3 and I been using the test server to let my loltractor see tier 10′s mind you I have a 798% crew in it. With over 10K battles and should likely have a special MM to that tank so I see only tier 2 and 3 tanks :p

      I really want a soft skill-based MM that at the very least balances the amount of bots and afk’ers.

      • Skill-based MM is impossible to implement. You’d wait 15 minutes to get in a game, and you wouldn’t be any happier. While I think they could do a better job of putting the same AMOUNT of skill on both teams, there will never be such a thing as teams of all greens or all blues.

            Storms an IDIOT. If you average 45% XVM in every single game ur win rate is going to be 35%-40% unless ur a superunicum and then ur lucky to get to 50%.

            XVM is rarely wrong. Do you lose 70% games and win 30% games? Sure, but not very often.

            • xvm is actually often wrong over a course of 100 battles, over large samples i have no clue but one of the main reasons low wn8/wn7/winrate players lose is due to morale when xvm shows they have a low chance.

              they see it and play like shit, they camp, hide, let their team die and back up in to a corner and camp a bit more until they die.

    Most of them can’t even pull off two damaging shots.
    The only reason those players win is that sometimes the game goes easy on them, and they get tier5 matches with their KV-1 with mostly tier3 tanks. Oh, and snapshooting with magical penetration. Mustn’t forgot those gems.

    • I’ve personally witnessed a 42% E-75 carry a match with ~1300 base XP at the end of it.

      Some times weird shit happens when the stars all align in just the right way.

    • Some of the 45-46%ers are that bad not because they suck at tanks, but because their equipment sucks at tanks (I’ve seen some guys who should be epic have horrible stats because they’re playing at 5-10fps on minimum graphics). I’d probably be a far better player by stats myself if I wasn’t suffering from a similar issue.

      • I might sound like an ass, but if you “play” at 5-10fps you shouldn’t play at all you are not helping your team at all, you are just one of those guys that needs to be carried on the backs of players that understand how to carry a game. And i am fucking sure you cannot have fun at sub 20ish fps(I am guessing 30fps is decent to good and 60fps is good to great), when everything around you moves in frames and you fuck up your eye-sight, and your concentration.

        • I am a very bad player. But I think the FPS really doesn’t make me any worse unless it falls under 20. I don’t feel any difference between 30 and 50 honestly.

            Can a 45% player carry a game? Sure, but not very often or they would be over 47%. If you are under 48% U R really bad at the game, REALLY BAD, and UR chances of carrying a game are really small, REALLY SMALL.

            Even a complete NOOB can carry a tier 9 game in an E75, though (with mostly tier 8′s and 7′s). Some tanks are more NOOB friendly and very strong when top tier. I was in a tier 6 game with a NOOB who carried it in a T150, but he was the ONLY tier 6 on both teams. Plus, when Storm said a 45% player can carry a game he meant against other RED players (under skill based MM)!!!!!!!

        I have reported a clan to WG via a Ticket. This clan does nothing but troll lower tiers (mostly tier’s 1 and 2) and the stats for each player are mega-unicum. I would ban them from the game.

        WG does not realize how many players leave the game or never get better because they rush through the lower tiers to avoid seal clubbers. I would go so far as to ban all platoons from tier 1 and 2 or at least ban platoons for players with more than 5000 games from these tiers so you can still seal club but you have to do it solo. I think this would help new players stay at lower tiers longer and learn the game.

        WG could also give incentives like a free tier 2 tank if you play 100 games in a tier 1.

        (I have been seal clubbing in a PZII and I just got my kill to death back over 2.0, LOL)

    He’s not wrong. The player population for simulator battles in WT Ground Forces is absolutely desolate.

    • I think he might even be referring to WT arcade, as their tank motion physics in Arcade are lightyears more realistic than in WOT. But I must admit, that realism kinda pisses me off at times. And even getting into arcade battles in WT can be difficult – I constantly have to wait for 1-2 minutes for their MM to even work (meaning, few players actually playing WT tanks).

      • I have watched UTUBE replays of WT and I have seem then kill tanks in the replays but even after they shoot and kill it I still can’t even see what they are shooting at. I am very happy with WOT’s ARCADE STYLE and I have no reason to play WT.

    I know that because I’m certain you have the ability to rig the battle so even retarded player can get 3k dmg using auto aim! Just shoot from 400m and set enemy on fire or one shot its ammo rack, real easy! Even those players are wondering how the fuck is that possible!

    • I was in a tier 6 game in a tier 4 tank and there were two tier 7′s a T150 and a Crommie or something and the RED NOOB in the T150 went crazy and killed everything because nobody could pen him. Anybody can pen a Crommie and the enemy killed him easily, but it is very hard for a tier 4 and 5 to pen a T150 without GOLD and many lower tier players, esp bad ones, don’t even carry gold rounds, but he could auto-aim and auto-pen every tank on our team. It was like he was handed this game to make him feel good. He got a topgun, high caliber and steel wall and he was a very bad player.

    Yeah but they usually don’t, it’s a probability thing. Sure it’s POSSIBLE but it isn’t likely and therefore you shouldn’t rely on a low WR/WN8 player to do well. I find it irritating how WG hates XVM so much. All it is is statistics, not a definitive guide on how a player or team will perform. In other words it won’t be right 100% of the time but it will be indicative of performance a majority of the time.

      • Learn to evade, do everything in order to. If you do get hit then it’s tough luck for you and good luck for the arty player, fair and square… Also, having arties trying to target you distracts them from easier to hit players, easy game-changer.
        IMHO, having people fear you a bit or willing to go for a challenge is part of the fun related to XVM. Nothing is more satisfying in WoT than discouraging tier VIIIs with a platoon of properly played tier VIs, or distracting people by pointing your not-yet-reloaded gun at them. Inspiring fear and decepting your enemies is an important part of tactics. :)

  8. XVM, often the ~62% games are lost. Feels like people with XVM get overconfident and reckless.

    Leavers in garage battles. Would it be a problem to just give an extra respwan to whoever runs out of them first?

    • Lemmings in 60%+ WR games trying to grab something are the flipside of a good team. Still doesen’t mean the potatos on the other side suddenly “carried”.

      That’s why I turned it off. Knowing the player’s WN8 and WR is useful, but the percentage for win is bullshit. You are either overconfident or frustrated even before the battle begins.

      • Turning it off is the stupidest thing you can do. You will end up being the only one who doesen’t see it and fall for the flipside lemmingtrain trap, while you would have been more careful with an excessivly high *or* low winchance value.

        • There are studies on the forum, look it up, which shows that XVM is rarely wrong. It’s a big bell curve. Can you win a 30% and lose a 70%, YES, but according to the stats it is VERY rare especially in the higher tiers.

          Usually, when you do it is because ur good players are in the lower tier tanks or vicaversa so if ur in a 30% game but all ur good players are in your top tier tanks you have a chance to win esp if you have a blue or purple in the top 3 and the enemy blue’s and purples are in the bottom 3.

          I would never play this game with XVM turned off. When I am lower tier I go with the strong higher tier players. I don’t want to be going on a flank with NOOBS!!

  10. i would like to see WG put every thing on hold save all that money and buy new servers cause the ones they have now are like 15+ years out of date they say that their servers can’t handle continuous spotting they say it lags the server if this is true then they REALLY need to upgrade the servers.

    Why would a different sound engine need 10gb of sound content? and seeing as the client is ~15GB +1GB for HD textures right now, i don’t think they’re doing a great job at keeping the client small…

    • It’s bullshit. BF4 sound files are regular quality audio samples. BF series beautiful sound lays in the post processing engine which is called HDRA ( High Dynamic Range Audio ). WG uses FMOD.

      That’s why BF sound mods for GTA4, sound pretty simple. It’s all in the sound engine. I doubt BF4 sound engine is worth 10GB.

    • Well, they did rebalance a few of the tanks that were causing the germans / americans to win too much.

      My Predictions:

      tier 10: Popular confrontation tanks:
      WTF E100 was nerfed since, still the best line-up from all nations due to ”true” tank, ”true” scout and ”true damage dealer”

      tier 9: E-75 + waffle IV, will still mean germans will win most games.
      ( IS-8 is played more by worse players and requires more skill and is more common than ST-I, T-54 is played a lot by bad players too and without gold it cannot pen the E-75 frontally.) France has lorriane… nufsaid. Britain on this tier is paper-armoured…. ( other than a certain TD )

      tier 8: Only balanced confrontation tier, but now there’s new scout tanks. France auoloaders will probably still be better than other nations here, I think… we will see…

      tier 7: T29 exists probably means american teams will win slightly more than other nations. (when combined with T20, a above average tier 7 medium) Germany has a fairly solid line-up but lacks a decent spotter. Soviet suffers bad viewrange and unreliable tanks. UK has too many superslow tanks. France… lol.

      tier 6: hellcat nerf and kv-85 make this tier more balanced, still expect the americans to have the best winrate due to viewrange advantage. germany has a decent line-up here for once. UK will happily thrive here.

      tier 5: Germans will suck here, as always. Russia and america will thrive, UK will be decidedly good hanks to the AT-2 being as ridiculous as it is.

      tier 4: Germans will be hilariously bad on this tier despite hetzer due to lots and lots of terrible ”grind” tanks, britian will be trololol. ( matilda spam expected ) France will be bad thanks to terrible grind tanks. America will be okay.

      tier 3: France will thrive, germany will troll, america will derp, russia will suck, Britain will suck thanks to terrible ”grind” tanks.

      tier 2: France / america will thrive, brits and russia will suck, especially brits. germany will be troll.

      tier 1: America. T1 über all.

  16. I don’t like the loss of Troll platoons, I have done well in many fail situations. Killing a tier 8 in an M3 Lee, leading tier 10 in a tier 5 arty… and more, It’s just the extreme fails that ruin it. no more tier 1 with tier 10.

Calculating winchance by WN8 aint no foretelling shit from coffee spill, it probably takes in account more variables than the local derps could understand. Also WG is removing skill variables from the game to protect their milkcow – tomato daddies driving blind heavies and removing variables makes predicting what? Easier. WN8 winchance has pretty damn good success rate so acting on it makes sense. Imagine.. I landed in severogorks T7 battle with my Pz38na. Tell me whiteknights, why should I attempt scouting the only somewhat viable scout route when my team has 36% winchance and ran off into nearest corridor to get raped. I’ll load gold (stronk 100pen or something) and farm whatever dmg I can from behind cap circle. The game was lost before it started but I walk away with decent WN8 if I land some shots. When its even 50% or more, I’ll go scout and thank my team for shooting what I light up.. because I know they are not complete retards I could go be useful and viceversa dont go pointlessly suicide when they are retards and loose money. Winchance prediction is awesome and makes the game less frustrating because you cant avoid landing in shiteater team but you can avoid being surprised by it.

    The ability to do something doesn’t mean that they can do so with any sort of consistency. XVM doesn’t tell you whether a player will do well or not, but what the PROBABILITY of them performing well or not is. True, a 45%er CAN carry a game, but he’s not going to do so anywhere near as often as a 55%er.

    The fuel mode.

    Refinery Battles: Fuel is consumable on move, replenish if you stay still near dead tanks (props), or killed enemy tanks, underground barrels (the cant get destroyed but can be emptied)

    PS. In general I think fuel can be implemented like a true consumable in game.

    The whole punishing leavers idea is retarded. One of the best features of WT is that when I see my team is just a bunch of brainless monkeys I can simply leave battle and jump into the next one. Trying to force players to stay in battle with team of idiots is a post-soviet totalitarian mentality.
