Two things. First, the 9.5 testing is slowly starting – hence the IM info. HOWEVER, keep in mind that any info from supertest might as well consist of placeholders. There is no indication that players will be actually FORCED to play arty, it’s possible this is just tested.

Secondly, the following vehicles are being added to the 9.5 CT: 11 British tanks (slowly, all are not ready yet, the Charioteer got leaked), along with ISU-130, AMX CDC, AMX-13/57, STA-2, and FV4202 with HD model. Furthermore, three new maps are being supertested: winter version of Ruinberg (to replace Ruinberg on Fire), something called “Lost City” (not sure what that is) and a map called “Mittengard” (which is the version of the Pit). More info as it gets leaked. It is unlikely all these maps will appear in 9.5.

Oh and apparently, the tutorial window bug is still preset after the 0.9.4.2 micropatch on RU server, but at least it doesn’t appear all the time. An odd thing though – according to the Support site, the patch 0.9.4.2 was supposed to be released today. Did anyone actually download it?

Otherwise there’s nothing new.

  1. Why the hell do they think adding SNOW changes the map? IF the snow had a AFFECT on tank performance THEN it would matter, if not adding snow to existing maps is just STUPID

    • Snow will have an effect when Havok comes, look for a Havok video by WG where Tiger II and AMX 13-90 slide on snow forwards despite ordering the tank to stop.

    • well, they plan to make movement to behave differently based on the conditions of terrain (not only hard, medium and soft surface like now, but ice, snow, sand, rocks, concrete, mud, dirt, grass, etc… ;) )

Also, eyecandy plays a role, too ;) as well as more dependency on winter camo ;)

    • Why, oh why, won’t they do a winter version of an open country map like Redshire (for example) where the seasonal effects reduce foliage and therefore reduces foliage based concealment? This would be something that would affect actual game play more than just slapping a bunch of white on the map and causing us to use a different camo pattern.

Heck, if they wanted to really add some seasonal effects, make it more difficult to climb relatively steepish slopes, like those you’d find on Redshire. And perhaps cause the Redshire stream to partially freeze over, like parts of the river on the Windstorm map.

Or for some outside the box thinking, maybe make a summer version of Windstorm, with all the snow and ice gone, and summer foliage in full bloom and effect (i.e. concealment).

      • I generally like winter maps for their looks. Even Severogorsk looks nice, despite being utter shit to play on. I really would like to see ALL maps with winter version available … well, apart from desert ones of course :)

    • Yeah, turn it into ‘Deserted Ruinberg’, where a huge sandstorm swept over the city and it suddenly became very hot. Then you can use desert-camo.

    • It is impossible for only u to get it, I didint and apparently Siletstalker didnt get it either.

      • I didn’t bother with the game for a loooong time … but … wouldn’t it show the current version in the top left corner when logging it? And then, shouldn’t the micropatch have it’s unique number to distinguish it from the previous versions?

        It’s just a guess thought :)

      • Exactly 0.7 mb to be exact, thanx to my very slow internet connection, I was able to see it, but it still took like 2 seconds to download :)

        • 700KB ? for these:

          - fixed the M53/M55 collision model
          - fixed the incorrect display of regular XP recieved in the post-battle debriefing window (SS: that’s the “got wrong XP” bug)
          - returned the sound of tracks when the tank is moving
          - fixed the constant popping up of the tutorial window bug

          It is impossible

  2. Winter Ruinberg, I kinda like winter Himmelsdorf….. Will there be singing SerB and Storm singing Christmas carols in Ruinberg’s church ? :-D

  3. i didnt notice any download when i opened the launcher, but the tutorial window appeared with the message server is busy and that i am in queue

  4. “Did anyone actually download it?”
Yes, my lucher donwload a super micro patch today, only 73 KB. I didnt noticed it, but in update folder is this patch with present date lol.

  5. As for the “Lost City”, which is kinda unknown yet; Could it be one of the Polish cities once ‘belonged’ to Germany before WW2? When these were ‘taken away’ from Hitler he got mad and ruined these cities..

    • I fear it’s going to be something taken out from Indiana Jones movie. Extreme hills, lots of jungle, and deserted ruins.
Tank battles on the terrain even infantry would dread to battle on FTW!

  6. M53/M55 collision model is fixed (render model is ok as well)in tank inspector, did’nt check the rest of the fix yet.

  7. got the micropatch, got the training splash. I closed – re-opened, did not get the training splash… working as expected…..

  8. I’m guessing the STA-2 is going to released for the T-34-85 mission for 50xp for each nation.
Many people have not researched into the japanese yet, so people should buy be buying the STA 2

  9. Wargaming why the F&*K would you spend time on the FV4202 HD model. The FV 4202 will be replaced by the Centurion 10.
Soo much needs to be fixed in this game yet you waste time doing STUPID things.

Soo are you just making it look pretty as a Tier 8 purchase tank?

    • They made the model more historical while making it HD making it’s actual turret slightly less terrible while doing so. ( of course the armour is still complete shit all around. ) Without the unhistorical copula the tank will probably sell better they presume, I guess.

  10. Couple of days ago: We’ll remove Ruinberg on fire permanently
Couple of days later: Here, have this beautiful Winter Ruinberg that will show up every second battle in queue Kappa

    • We’ve known a winter replacement for Ruinberg on Fire was coming for some time now

So yes, Ruinberg on Fire is being removed permanently.
