Made at the request of several interested players from the Czechoslovak community, who actually got lost in all the recent changes.
Right. So, this proposal includes the medium and heavy premium candidates. What is missing:
- clones (well, T-40/75 is very borderline)
- a bunch of lowtier stuff
- LT, TD premiums
The most likely first vehicle to come is the T 40 premium medium tank, which is either tier 6 or tier 7 stuff (I think tier 6, but some in Wargaming would like to bump it to tier 7 with some – unhistorical – buffs, not exactly the best outcome).

Armor – hull: 65/40/30
Armor – turret: 65/40/40

Tiers 1-6 of this branch can be found here, although there are two changes: T-24 has two turrets (early, late), T-25 as well (historical, based on archive materials). Other than that, it’s mostly historical.
Tier 7-10′s got changed around a bit, so here’s a summary:
Tier 7 – T-34/100

Tier 9 – T 50

So, that is the current state of the Czechoslovak tree. I hope it clears some confusion as to the current state of things. We’ll just have to see.
Kolohousenka. That is the translation, Wheeled catterpillar?
Yep, that’s it.
How many shells on the autoloader? Standard 4?
Balance decision. In real life, the autoloader mechanism was developed (interestingly enough, also for the T-34/85) but I haven’t seen any hard specs.
Why so many premium tanks?
I like them, should this proposal be implemented alone or alongside the EU tree?
Separate could be best.
From a marketing point of view it would be a bad decision to implement the Czechslovak and let’s say the Swedish tanks as separate trees… These communities are quite small compared to the whole player base. Plus these nations could hardly build up a US or USSR or GER like tree. (maybe the swedish could do it)
I’m still hoping for a unified EU tree with lots of nations involed in it, since this game needs no more japanese or chinese like WIP trees…
But then again, its WG we’re talking about and since there’s basically no marketing in communism they can give 0 shit about this aspect…
Czechoslovaks are third largest community on the EU server. Swedish are small, yes, but they have some seriously good tanks, so that makes up for it.
And the EU has 200thousand players if we are optimistic, while russians have 900th at least (on-line at 1time). And for them there would be hardly any difference between having a tank with the czechslovak flag or the EU flag on the tank…
Also..Who cares about how big communites are? Its not like the french only play french tanks, or germans only play german tanks. Thats just stupid. People play the game because they like it..not because their country has tanks into the game. For me I would prefer wargaming putting in as many nations/tanks as possible.
Yeah and then good luck on WZ111 and SP type missions… communities count, ask casual players what tree they max out FIRST…
UK players start with UK tanks, this is true for frenchies as well..Think about those “old” american tank drivers who can be in their belove M48 again… just because you grind a tank for a reason (amx50b/batchat for CWs) it doesn’t mean that everybody does the same. After a time maybe yes…
The next one is the popularity of a tank. Back in the old days ppl wanted to have the famous Tiger I and the T-34 because they were symbols…
Lastly your attitude towards communities raised my attention: are you a WGEU staff member?
And I’m from Germany and started with the soviet tree at first.
Am I Russian now?
troll elsewhere…
Though it’s my bad, i forgot to mention that people USUALLY start with their nations…
No source no point.
Also why is CN1994 troling? Because he has an example against your thesis?
Btw, I don’t mean to be too direct but I think like this I question your plausibility in a still appropriate way. If this is not the case please notify me.
@Plankler
There are always examples, or outliers or whatever you call it against any thesis, my problem was just the mere sentence that had no meaning other than making my eyeballs to do a barrel roll…
Anyways, yes that’s only my thesis, but I assumed this due to the mere patriotism of people…I know for sure that if my country’s tank modification’s would be introduced to the game, a lot of my pals would start playing with them…for prestige or i dunno, I personally am an outlier in this case, because i show little to no interest in those tanks…
When confrontation was still in the game i had numerous games with my UK and FR vehicles and I have seen noticeably more UK related clans and much more “francais? moin!” quotes… Of course this means nothing, that was just my conclusion, but then again since patriotism is strong in my country, and here I’ve seen a lot of commenters discussing “dem good ol’ days in mah M48/M60″ I just made this assumption…
I don’t think that is true at all. Americans rarely start with the American tree, certainly not exclusively. Or maybe they do one line on their nations tree but after that go to those tanks that fit their play style. Most people I know started with German or Russian. Few people play the Chinese line because the tier 10s are both very poor CW tanks. The Japanese get played roughly in line with what you would expect a one line nation to be played. Lots of people I know have STBs. The low tier (up to 7) Japanese tanks are pretty poor, so its not surprising people don’t play them except to grind.
Who says they are gonna make missions like they are now? What if they let you choose what countries you wanna play as? And what if they wont even do that type of missions anymore now when they have IM system.
And the logic that WG should focus on how big the communities are and produce tanks for them is stupid. Let’s say poland has 20 000 players, then the rest of EU would out match them by 80 000 +. And the idea that the poles would only play the poles dosent work. It wouldent be profiteble if only 20 % of EU would use them tanks and 80 would ignore them. Im not polish or german or brittish or russian..I play them tanks anyway..Why? Because I enjoy it. And if my country gets tanks into the game..Would that mean I would stop playing german/brittish/french/russian tanks? Hell no.
“Who says they are gonna make missions like they are now? What if they let you choose what countries you wanna play as? And what if they wont even do that type of missions anymore now when they have IM system.”
It’s WG we are talking about so nothing is certain as long as it is not seen by the playerbase, thus I would say the chances are the same…

I didn’t say that WG should introduce tanks based on the size of the communities, the only thing I am saying is that since the main audience of WoT knows almost nothing about SWE/CZSK/ITA maybe except that Pizza is delicious, Kozel and Pilsner Urquell are good and that “Swedish were vikings”, it would be logical to give these nations a unified, better known “name” namely EU…
Moreover I for example hate that the Chinese and Japanese tech trees are lacking… Since the EU tree would consist of like 6-7 nations, the tree itself would look very much like the current GER/US/USSR trees, that are better IN MY EYES…
actually it would be about 3 times the size of the largest current tech tree, which is one of the main reasons it was scrapped
EU tree is no more, there will be a separate Czech, Swedish and maybe Italian tech tree instead.
This country doesn’t existing in the ww1 ww2 … ! What is this ? History maker?
You’re an idiot.

what about S-tank…?
S-Tank is swedish ._.
Compared to the other nations, what would be the expected gameplay of the Czechoslovak tanks ?
With the lack of armor or firepower..I would say like slow mediums:)
Comparable to Japanese medium branch, maybe a bit better firepower for less depression.
Just look that -12 gundepression on that t8 with a 105mm gun..
it’s OP as fuck already…
and that t9, with that über pen+ it has a useable armor, not like leopard proto kind of paper,über cannon tanks.
And with an autoloader on the top of the tree…
question is what more you need?
Well Centurion7 has good gun and armor as well
We need to buff Leo PtA and PantherII i guess … they have hardly anything to offer
Why?
P2 and Indian Panzer are the same boat for example.
If one get buff then other need too in my opinion.
Indian Panzer and P2 has armor, but useless/unuseable armor.
Both slow and has a good/ok gun, but too similar to each other.
Which is kind of sad for the IP, because P2 already one if not the worst t8 med.
So nothing help the german t8 med line up other than a complete rebalance with vehicle switch..
Don’t get me wrong I like the Panther 2, I just see how useless to play it..
and I don’t have a slightest interest to get the IP, becaucus I don’t see any point what this tank should give to me in the gameplay/fun scale other than just another german in my collection.
(I apologize for my weak english!)
Tier 3 heavy tanks? Blasphemy!
Yep. They sucked too. Some of the worst designs we ever produced.
Really? Got some info on it?
Sure

…oh, man. Those ARE terrible. They would make for interesting lowtier premiums or gift tanks though.
France could get a tier I heavy tank. Two actually. Both the Schneider CA1 and Saint-Chamond were sometimes classified as medium tanks, sometimes as heavy tanks. Then there’s the FCM1, another heavy tank prototype from WW1, that wouldn’t really have felt outdated in 39/40. Would make a great tier 4 premium.
Though I guess the Saint-Chamond with a 75 mm could fit for tier 3 or 4, gameplay-wise.
I think the Japanese Heavy tree might also have a Tier 3 heavy. if it ever comes.
But that Type 91 Heavy is definitely gonna be a painful grind with 20mm armor and sluggish speed.
It doesnt even weigh that much, like 18tons.
Was the T50/51 supposed to be that large by design? It looks gigantic. Perhaps it is a human scale error.
Compared to a dwarf. Or a crawler :D
It’s quite large, yes.
I like the look of these, fast maneuverable, no armor and hard hitting guns.. Hope WG doesn’t fuck them up since they look fun to play..
whether the TX med will be a success or not – all depends on the burst size & reload time.
Because it pretty much directly competes with AMX 50B in the niche of a very fast and agile, poorly armored autoloader.
Batchat is pretty much a different vehicle (more of a tier X “light”) so yeah, I think AMX 50B is actually the closest thing to T 50/51 in combat role.
pretty sure once the Czechs roll, their tanks at tier 8-10 will be unanimously named TVP’s if one forgets their designations.
but really SS, were there no bigger calibers they tested the living shit out of lets say, the funky D-25T within the TVP program?
The largest gun considered I know on was the adapted 105mm AA gun (on tier 8 in this case).
an AA gun? thought they’d try a hand on the L7 105 but if its an adapted AA gun, guess its pen value should be around 225 to 226?
Pingback: Československý tankový strom: Finální verze
Can’t wait for the Czechs and other European countries to come!!
Why so many premiums btw?
I really want to try Swedish and Swiss tanks. But this Czech Tier10 autoloader looks quite promising too.
There’s so many premiums probably because they don’t fit in the tree anywhere, but are designs that could make it into the game.
Pretty nice branch. But by that final do you mean that whole czechoslovak tree will consist only of this one branch? No more medium/td/spg branches? There arent any candidates to make another branch in this tree?
There can be a full SPG branch, full TD branch and LT’s up to tier 6-7 or so.
I just hope that the tier 6,8 and 10 are good tanks. Otherwise we may see similar story to what has happened to the new british TD line, which, imo, it is a disaster of branch.
Tiger ausf Skoda? A Skoda-Made Tiger?

What is Tiger ausf. Skoda?
I never heard about that in your article
