Q: What kind of crew did the KV-85 have? I found a source that gives it as commander-loader, driver, mechanic, gunner. Is there something about the KV-85 that prevented the mechanic from loading?
A: That’s almost correct, you just need to swap some punctuation: commander, loader, driver-mechanic, gunner. Soviet tanks had no dedicated mechanic crewman, the driver performed those duties.

- angle of impact has no effect on track armor thickness (SS: in case you didn’t know, tracks do have an armor value, usually around 20mm)

today, we are going to have a look at the new tier 5 tank destroyer that came with 8.9 – the Pz.Sfl.IVc.
Since 8.9 came out, this strange vehicle has earned several names: Flaktoaster, Bangbus, Flakbus or just “the Toaster”. Nevertheless, this vehicle continues this German TD line trend of very fragile yet open-topped vehicles. If you think about it, the trend is actually clear: T4 to T7 vehicle move from very comfortable to very uncomfortable traverse-wise (the higher the tier, the worse the traverse), this is changed only by the T8 vehicle, that has a turret.
I usually don’t usually promote mods, but this is really nice. Remember the Winter mod that wrote about not so long ago? In short: a couple of Russian players along with Locastan reworked all the maps to resemble winter. Pretty neat, lots of work invested into it.
Well, it has entered the beta. Mod’s thread on EU forums is here, you can download the mod directly here – but beware, it’s huge (2,6 gigs).

Q at 00:53. Patch 0.8.0 was really nice, why were the patches after that underwhelming.
A. There were a lot of work in progress about better graphics, and models, and this work isn’t fully finished thus cannot be rolled into the patches. Perhaps we should have been more active in communicating what we are working on for players.
Q at 1:45. Are you happy with the SPG nerf, did you achieve what you wanted?
A. We cannot look at emotions, we have to look at stats. At top tiers there are 2 SPG per game, which is appropriate. At lower levels there are less, so we will gradually buff mid- and low-tier SPGs until there are more.
