Hello everyone,
it was leaked earlier that the supertesters will be testing new German tier 5 medium tank, Panzer III Ausf.K. So far, no pictures or stats appeared, but we’ll have a look at this vehicle today from the historical point of view.
First off, it’s not a fake, as some claimed on forums. It’s a paper design from 1942, that was really considered as an upgrade to the aging Panzer III. Basically, they took the Ausf.J hull and added a turret from Panzer IV (presumably Ausf.G). It’s a very obscure vehicle, that was described in Panzer Tracts as such:
And that’s all we know about it, so you can expect most of the statistics to be “fake” – based on balance rather than historicity. It will likely be slower than both the Panzer IV and Panzer III/IV for example due to the increased weight. The role of this vehicle is unclear as well, my guess is it’s not a regular premium tank for sale but some event/reward thing, but who knows. We’ll just have to see.
Sorry for the delay. Personal errands.
Today’s advent offer for EU server includes:
- KV-5 + slot
- 3000 gold
Price: 47,99 USD (38,45 EUR)
Meanwhile in Russia, the current offer is 50 percent off on all gold and premium days (only in the store though). Still, the EU offer today seems actually solid.
Hello everyone,
in 2014, Wargaming was involved in several large (and costly) historical initiatives on Russian and Belarusian territory (with notable exceptions). Here’s a video summary of the events from the Russian server (with English subtitles). These involve:
- restoring the Dornier 17 in Britain
- lifting the KV-1 from the bottom of a river
- looking for tank parts in swamps (“Tanks smell of mud”)
- restoration of a T-34
- re-painting the vehicles at the Central Museum of Armed Forces in Moscow
- restoring several museum collections
- various “veteran” events
Too bad these initiatives take place mostly in Russia only. For next year, Wargaming has prepared a program for large celebrations of 70th victory anniversary, but then… I have a bad feeling that the average Russians will have other things to think about with the way ruble is going.
Hello everyone,
just to make sure everyone got the situation with the E-25. It will be removed from the ingame shop before the global tier 7 premium discount takes place, yes. So if you wanted to buy it and saved gold for it, you’re fucked. But – the discount will apply also to the premium shop, so if you want to buy it for money, you will still be able to buy it from the premium shop with discount, only you have to use money instead of gold. WG is funny that way.
So, if you want to participate in this blatant money grab get this awesome machine with a discount, you better turn up with your credit card in hand :)
It’s possiblet that in the end, the 9.5 patch comes on 22nd of December instead of 23rd – connected to the E-25 removal. Just a theory though, in effect it’s one of those two days. Makes no difference.
- Yurko2F (developer) states that the statement “increasing the viewrange over 500 meters on your vehicle using equipment works fine, it allows you to spot an enemy faster” is correct
- Q: “Why not have the individual missions work automatically without having to accept the mission manually?” A: “And it would be even better, if the past battles counted as well, yes? I’d just start the game and all the missions would just get completed.”
- vehicle buffs and nerfs happen “when necessery”
- some player claimed that whenever he has a longer break from WoT, when he returns he always ends up on the top of the team – according to developers, this is just conspiracy theory, there’s no such feature
- shell types in your ammo rack have no influence on the probability of your ammo rack explosion, they however DO influence the power of the explosion – specifically, HE and HESH shells explode more, so the turret, ripped off by the explosion, flies further
- according to Storm, “a lot of” features for solo random players are planned
- there is no official estimate of how much current optimization works (“removing the bottlenecks”) will improve performance of WoT on good computers
- the only thing Storm says about the falling ruble situation: “it’s a complicated question”
Hello everyone,
according to the post on Russian server, between 18.12. and 22.12., all the gold (following bundles: 500,1000,2500,5000,7500 and 25000) and all the premium account bundles (1,3,7,14,30,90,180,360 days) in the premium shop will be for half their usual price.
Now, 50 percent discount on gold like that, that’s something I can appreciate…

Hello everyone,
this article came up on Russian server portal and I think it’s kinda nice, so here’s a sum of what was in it. The FV4005 Stage 2 is the upcoming tier 10 tank destroyer. Here are its basic characteristics, which – since they appeared on the portal – are likely final:
- speed: 35 km/h
- hitpoints: 1850
- gun alpha: 1150
Wargaming characterizes the vehicle as such:
- gun: “183mm of total firepower. The large gun allows you to deal huge amount of alpha damage to practically any enemy”
- HESH-shells: “high amount penetration and awesome damage make this machine a formidable opponent, capable of single-handedly tipping the battle in your favour.”
- psychological factor: “even the peresence of this vehicle on certain maps can blunt your opponent’s initiative”
- good traverse: “even though the turret doesn’t traverse 360 degrees, the traverse angles are more than enough”
Well, I guess we were right all along, weren’t we… :)

TLDR: E-25 removed from Shop. Bla bla OP bla bla too many of them. Bla. Buy it in 100 EUR bundle after that. The vehicle will still be available
- until 22.12.2014 in the ingame shop
- until 15.1.2015 in the premium store
After that, it gets removed.
I mean… seriously? Announcing that you are removing a vehicle from sales because there are too many of them and then leave it in the sale for several more weeks, knowing that thousands more will buy it? Yea, that makes total sense. Is it just me, or is Wargaming lately really shifting towards more and more obvious moneygrabs?
Edit: oh, right, forgot. “Removed from the ingame shop” – 22.12., 30 percent discount on tier 7 TD’s starts on 24.12., we wouldn’t want you to get it for gold on discount now, would we…

Hello everyone,
Wargaming is apparently testing a new tier 10 mode on supertest, that resembles team battles, only with tier 10 vehicles and tier 8 lights. This mode has attack/defense mode. Currently nothing else is known, it could be some sort of preliminary test/experiment and there’s no guarantee this mode will appear in the game (although earlier, it was said by WG developers that Wargaming is working on something like that for high tiers).
