- Storm states that the announced accuracy adjustment does not mean that the “old” accuracy that got changed practically a year ago will return
- the sniper mode FPS drop fix in 9.1 will work with both the old and new render
- developers considered in medium or long term perspective adding new content for tier 10
- Storm confirms that the nerfs, originally announced for 9.1, will come
- Storm on rebalance of vehicles: “There will be a lot of various rebalances. Not just TDs.”

If you are interested in some E3 news, Overlord posted a bit

- apparently, in some cases, the SLI support is still messy even after the latest Nvidia patch
- Storm states that buying/using Spintires engine (SS: a game with excellent physics) is not an option, since everything has to be calculated on the server and then the data have to be transferred to the clients
- Storm states that the alleged bug of lags on Windstorm map (after a player submitted his computer data, logs etc.) was not confirmed, it’s more likely some issue with reading data from the disk on that player’s side. Storm adds that Windstorm has a lot of specific buildings and new content, making the loading longer
- WG will work with Nvidia to fix the SLI issue
- Storm states that the optimization in the game in a patch doesn’t have to be a huge leap every time (SS: as in, WG can continue optimizing the game in small steps)
- Storm confirms that in 9.1, they fixed the FPS drops when switching to sniper mode while the terrain is not on highest quality setting
- new vehicles in next 2 patches? “No comment”
- apparently the bug with moving corpses (SS: I think that’s what it means – literally “dancing hulls”) in cities was partially fixed in 9.1
- Havok will come this year
- WoT Blitz for Android will come “after iOS”

Sorry, practically nothing today.

- there will be arty in WoT for Xbox at some point
- apparently, SerB’s son, who is currently serving in the army, is too tall to fit into a tank (SS: told you, pointless info)
- according to Overlord, WG has several ideas on gold ammo rebalancing, including their “limitation” apparently. It is not sure if any of these ideas will be introduced.

- these factors are taken into account when rebalancing a vehicle, according to Storm: “winrate, popularity on its tier, skill of players playing it (its distribution), average XP, average damage, average damage stopped by armor – many various indicators” – later, Storm however adds that a vehicle won’t be nerfed based solely on the fact that it is very popular (SS: earlier, Storm stated however that a very popular vehicle is practically always an indicator of that vehicle being imbalanced)
- it’s possible the Ardennes HB that is getting removed in 9.1 will return, but “no promises”
- how the accuracy will be nerfed is not decided yet, developers are running experiments
- T-44-85 has been “postponed for a long time”
- tank models will be reworked also in standard client, not just in HD content, the “HD” concerns only texture resolution
- Havok will work in both SD and HD clients

- Storm states that the new Nvidia drivers provide boost specifically for SLI in WoT
- in 9.0, earlier SLI support got broken
- regarding the issue that a configuration with SLI setup did not gain any FPS from the newest patch, Storm states they made several tests with SLI, everywhere there was a FPS increase
- apparently, this is actually intentional according to Storm
- Storm confirms RU251 will come this year (SS: 9.3 most likely)
- lighting in the new hangar will be fixed a bit later
- 9.1 live patch? “when it’s done it’s done”
- the fact that you will be able to select whether you want to download HD content or not is confirmed

- apparently there is a rare random bug, where when you put full cruise control forward, the tank starts going backwards, Storm states he hasn’t heard of this bug
- the are no plans for now to rework the tank damage system (SS: a player is complaining for example about full damage penetrations of commander copula etc.)
- more complex (different?) damage system could appear in some form of hardcore mode, but Storm states that in WG internally there is no agreement on such a mode (SS: as in, no plans for now)
- tier 8 tank MM will not be modified (SS: some player was complaining that tier 8′s get too much in battles with tier 10′s and so on)
- no plans to buff T28 and T95
- the fact that Soviet gun S-54, S-54S and several US 76mm guns have different gold and silver ammo damage is a mistake, it will be fixed
- after battletier 12 was removed, Storm currently considers the MM situation as normal (SS: some player wanted to remove battletier 11 as well, this will not happen)
- the 9.1 Test 2 sound volume is the same as in 9.0
- Storm states that the drop in online playerbase on RU server is the same as last year, it is influenced by the start of holidays and good weather (SS: as in, no real drop due to War Thunder)
- Q: “What are you planning to do with too many TD’s on tier 10?” A: “Nothing. Such cases (SS: as in, a player showed a screenie with like 8 TDs in each team) are not systemic. (SS: as in too common) We will balance individual vehicles.”
- there will not be a “global rebalance of all vehicles” – there will be changes, but not “global ones”
- tank rebalances will come “when it’s done it’s done”, and “no promises”

- Storm states that the crowns of standing trees do provide a camo bonus, just as they did for 4 years now
- IS-3 will not appear in historical battles
- 9.2 will NOT bring Havok, but it will bring new HD tank models
- no plans to make T-50-2 a premium
- WoT map Stalingrad is 900×900 meters big, it will come “when it’s done”
- no plans to buff IS-6
- it’s not possible to download 9.1 test sounds independently and add it to the 9.1 live game
- no plans to buff IS-7 DPM
- Russian players will most likely not the same gold-awarding missions, as there were on EU server

WG “Cybersports” Stream QA

Source: http://world-of-ru.livejournal.com/3318969.html

Hello everyone,

recently there was a stream with Alexei Kuznetsov, leader of the WG cybersports department and he was answering the player question regarding cybersports and Wargaming.net league. Maiorboltach from the WoT LJ community made a summary of what was said, I am not sure how much this is related to non-RU servers, but here’s a translation:

- in the Golden Series of the following season (RU cluster) there will be 12 teams, not 16. LAN finals will be attended by only 4 teams. This change was made to increase the competitiveness of the teams and the attractivity of the matches in general, WG hopes there will be more interesting and good fights
- EU cluster will only have 2 WG League seasons
- also, based on EU cluster, there will be an All-Stars tournament of all regions (for now RU, EU and NA are confirmed). This tournament will appear between the seasons and will be a regular event.

- according to Storm, further use of BigWorld engine very much has a future (SS: as in in WG games)
- it’s possible bigger maps will come, “but no promises”
- developers are not considering transferring to a different game engine, but modernizing the current one
- Storm confirms that the patch frequency is one per 1,5 months
- there will be a video showing how the WG team recorded the real tank sounds
- apparently there won’t be a third hangar for WoT

Storm talks about 9.1 Test 2

Source: http://world-of-kwg.livejournal.com/294238.html

Hello everyone,

Storm is asking for Test round 2 feedback (performance, bugs etc) – he adds that the gun and Hellcat/Jackson engine sounds were returned to 9.0 standard because they were added to the test mostly to gather player feedback, there was no plan to release them in 9.1 live patch. The feedback on the gun sounds is conflicting, for the engine sounds it’s positive. Wargaming will take these opinions into account when developing the game further.

There is also a bug that changes the screen side ration, it will be fixed in the live server.

From the discussion:

- the 9.1 test sounds will be polished and they will return in one of the upcoming patches
- more tank engine sounds than Jackson and Hellcat are being recorded
- Storm states that the “moving corpses” bug was already fixed (players claim it is still there)
- engine sounds for exotic tanks will be recorded from “a similiar type of the engine”
- Storm doesn’t consider it a problem that the GPU is stressed in the new hangar more than in combat
- Chat 2.0 – “medium perspective”
- HD model mass-production system is not yet finished
- the mechanism of automatic platoon searching is not being developed yet
- the file “availablecontent.xml”, that appeared in the test client, does not mean there will be DLC, it is tied to the split of the HD and SD client
- the HB crew transfer without penalties “cannot be guaranteed for now” (SS: there was a plan for some of the tanks to act like “premiums” by being able to use crews from different tanks)
- there is little data collected from the test on the 9.1 historical battles
- reworking the decals and hit effects is not in near plans
