Well, it’s exactly how we predicted, isn’t it. American server gets an official tier 10 discount event. And European server? No tier 10 discounts for you, EU capitalists! You haven’t embraced the teachings of comrade Stalin Mao, you will not get glorious socialist machines on discount.

Unfortunately, yesterday and today there were no developer answers whatsoever, with one exception:
- there won’t be special (specific) Taiwanese crew (and other insignia etc) for Taiwanese tanks

just an update: Major_Rampage (US) confirmed that the US server will have a two-week discount on the tier 10 Chinese medium tank 121 and its light line (WZ-132 is discounted, T-34-2 is not). Announcement will come today.
Weird thing. US does have it, SEA doesn’t (or maybe they will after all?). Will this discount come for EU server too, or is it “no tier 10 discount for you, European capitalists”?
please note that the US server currently has the 121 tank (and its branch of LIGHT tanks) on discount. Strangely enough, the medium branch leading to it is not discounted.

So, recently (yesterday/today) an interesting bundle appeared in the US server gift shop:
Apart from the atrocious grammar (something I’d expect from WG EU, not USA), it offers us a discount on “121″ equipment. Now, why would they do that? Well, here’s a possible explanation: “121″ is a Chinese medium tier 10 tank, that wasn’t discounted yet. We know that tier 10 discounts will probably return in one way or another in February (according to Tanitha, SEA server). We also know that their return is tied to the Chinese New Year (31st Jan 2014)
Speculation:
The bundle linked above was introduced before the On Track event was scrapped and was forgotten. That could mean the next On Track tank was to be the 121. Furthermore, as the tier 10 discount return is tied to the Chinese New Year, it’s possible there is a connection. You know, Chinese New Year, Chinese tank… so it’s even possible that the first tank on discount in February will indeed be the 121 (the recent one was 113, they also might have not wanted two Chinese tanks in a row).
If I was to speculate even more: recently, the (popular) 250k credits/day mission was not renewed. It’s theoretically possible this mission caused credit inflation (yes, we know Wargaming actually has an employee, who deals with inflation in game), causing in turn Wargaming not to make matters worse by putting tier 10 tanks on discount, thus encouraging even more people to buy them, shifting the game balance of higher tiers. But that’s pure guesswork.
this week, we are going to have some pretty interesting missions:
3.12. – 7.12.
- kill 50 German vehicles while driving with a tier 4+ tank, get 250k creds (only once)
- win 15 battles in 24h with a tier 4+ tank, get 10 gold fire extinguishers (repeatable)
- kill 7 enemy vehicles in a tier 4+ tank, get 2x experience (repeatable no XP for you)
10.12. – 14.12.
- kill 50 Soviet vehicles while driving with a tier 4+ tank, get 250k creds (only once)
- win Confederate medal + destroy at least 2 enemy vehicles while driving a tier 4+ tank, get 10x gold repair kit (repeatable)
- be in top 3 damage dealers of the battle (not of your team!) with a tier 4+ tank, get 15000 credits (repeatable)
As you can see, no more pedobear missions, looks like everything is going to be limited with tiers. That’s a good move. Also, it’s nice to see the 250k reward mission back in some form, since the current monthly mission awards premium for 50k damage done in 24 hours (for high tiers and tank destroyers that’s actually not that hard to do, will try it myself). The disappearance of the 250k daily might be seen as a “nerf”, instead we’ll have it once per week: but let’s be honest – how many players completed that mission more than once per week? I think I did twice one week and once the other, so that’s not that terrible.
just a quick update on the Tank Inspector software: well, the good news is, it works nicely. The bad news is, its developers don’t have any more invite codes for now. They asked me to relay the following message:

Yesterday, we’ve received over 500 mails to apply for a beta-test invite code. It’s really appreciated that there are so many people who is interested in our product. As we wrote in the previous post, only 50 invite codes could be delivered per day, that’s because 1) sending invitations is a time-consuming job and we have only a few hands to utilize; 2) for now we are not really satisfied about the stablity of our product, after all it’s just a beta version.
We will keep on our pace to deliver the invite codes. However, we won’t have sufficient codes and time to deliver them for all the appliers. We could not guarantee that everyone who writes to us can receive an invitation code, really sorry about that. If you haven’t send your application yet, just wait for our final release, we promise we won’t keep you from waiting too long.
