Individual Missions Are Coming

Source: http://world-of-ru.livejournal.com/3540222.html

Hello everyone,

in the post linked above, Evilly confirmed that the individual missions are coming. Individual missions are missions, that have parameters different for every player and are thus possibly “tailored” to the tanks, that are in your garage. Yesterday, a number of Russian players (inactive) recieved an e-mail, in which they were invited to play World of Tanks individual missions. At first, it was considered some kind of scam, but Evilly (WoT producer) confirmed that it’s legit.

It’s the first (testing) round of the individual missions, aimed at inactive (incl. banned) players to make them return to the game. These mails are only a testing round, the individual missions will come after that.

This is how it looks in the client (for 75 victories between 10th and 20th of October, you can get a T-127 and a free garage slot):

Panzer IV Being Sold in Finland

Thanks to Deadbeaver for this one.

Hello everyone,

ever wanted a Panzer IV Ausf.J? Well, here’s your chance. Well, it’s not in a very good shape :)

2

This Panzer IV Ausf.J was given to the Finnish army by Germans in 1944. It was never used in battle, only later on as a practice target. The auction can be found here – the current bid is 1550 Euro.

Of course, it’s in terrible shape, but I wonder, if it could actually be restored to its former glory. Hell, the KV-1 they pulled from the river recently looked worse.

Individual Missions are Coming?

Hello everyone,

an interesting thing appeared on Russian server. Apparently, some players (oddly enough, banned ones, which might mean that the system is being tested on those, who got banned) got an e-mail by Wargaming on their account mails, where they are offered the opportunity to fulfill their own, individual missions between 10th and 20th of October. The conditions of these missions are unknown, but the reward is up to 5 days of premium time, 20 percent bonus to XP and credit gain and a premium T-127 tank.

Not so long ago, it was announced that individual missions (missions with different parameters for each player) are to come soon, so perhaps this is a test of the system.

9.10.2014

I open the WoT portal, Fury is staring at me. I open the Russian forums, Fury is staring at me. I open the WoT FB page, Fury is staring at me. I am afraid to open my tuna can.

Also, 9.4 supertest starts tomorrow. 9.4 will mostly be a technical patch, so don’t expect miracles. The patch itself should thus (if everything goes okay) come until the end of the month, allowing the huge 9.5 to come until the end of the year.

- shells for one gun can be of different design based on the year they were introduced in (SS: SerB, justifying why APCR shells for certain guns are much more expensive than the regular shells, I think he just misunderstood the question)
- new perks will arrive at the same time the old perks are reworked
- the T28 Concept does not mean the Scorpion will not arrive
- Havok will be used in the beginning only to render the destruction of buildings and objects. After that will come the realistic destruction of tank equipment (boxes etc.), but not soon.
- realistic track behavior and new movement physics is not related in any way to Havok
- IS-3 in HD will not come in 9.4
- apparently, the QA answer about last elements of Bigworld being removed from World of Tanks soon was false according to Storm
- M6A2E1 will not be reworked to HD this year

Praga Export Tanks – Part III: LTS, LT Vz.40

Hello everyone,

today, we are going to talk about what happened to the 21 LLT tanks, produced for Lithuania, but never delivered. If you are interested in that story, please get back to part 2 of the series.

Tank_LT-40

In Summer 1940, Czech arms production was already firmly in the German grasp and the manufacture process was changed to suit only the German wartime needs. As a result, ČKD (now renamed to BMM) was forced to cancel all previous export deals and that included the Lithunian one. After all, Lithuania, being fully occupied by Hitler’s allies, the Soviets, was in no shape to order and pay for those vehicles anyway. All the future export deals required German export permissions in any case. And so, the produced vehicles were just standing in the ČKD factory at Slaný, waiting for their final fate.

Tank Layout Video

Hello everyone,

an interesting video appeared on WG video channel – it describes the basics of tank design.

It’s… well, accurate enough I guess (there are more reasons for “frontal transmission tanks are taller” than just the drive shaft for example, it had to run above the floor because there were torsion bars below it).

Also, Great Patriotic War? Here, we call that Second World War and it started in 1939. Great Patriotic War begins in 1941 – that’s how the Soviet monuments depict it, you wouldn’t want the Russians to be reminded they were Hitler’s allies before that, would you?

The series looks promising however.
