- Berlin Brigade camo for Xbox WoT version will be implemented according to The_Chieftain
- according to Storm, the height of Leopard 1 (SD) model in game is historical
- Q: “Why is there no exception for arty in the global accuracy nerf?” A: “Because it is global.”
- more info about the new shell distribution within aim circle will come “when it appears in the game”
- Storm states that limited MM for premium tanks was never one of the basic premium tank principles (requirements) – the fact that future premium tanks will not have limited MM does not mean that other “basic principles” (such as premium tanks being weaker than regular ones) will be broken, Storm emphasizes that this change is made with long-term perspective in mind
- IS-3 HD model surface (irregularities) was made both using polygons and normal mapping
Thanks to Buum99 for this video.
Hello everyone,
I am sure many of you have seen this in battle – people screwing the team for the sake of their individual missions. Usually, this sort of crap is not organized, but as everyone suspected, there are also cases of blatant IM rigging. Take this example:
A bunch of asshats from the -LCP- clan (yea, Czechoslovaks, making their community proud -.-) decided it would be a great idea to rig a random battle to help their teammate with the IM’s (presumably, HT-15). Watch the video, it’s pretty funny (and obvious).
This happened two days ago. Guess who didn’t get banned for it? Wargaming, as usual, is taking fair play “very seriously”.
How do you like the new Himmelsdorf? Half of the buildings are now missing the collision model…
And I would STILL like to know how this happens. Some guy comes and just deletes the collision models randomly? Why?
Hello everyone,
so, I ran over the XML files again to have a look at what exactly they changed. The HD model changes and fixes do generally not bother me, as some are broken (unfinished) even in second iteration of the test (such as the E-100 one, which will only be fixed in 9.6).
What I noticed:
- Sherman III turrets got renamed from D50878 and D82081 to Sherman III and Sherman IIIA (no stat changes)
- Chaffee had its depression boosted, from -7/+15 to -10/+15 (for all guns as far as I can see)
- T95E2 repair costs were reduced by cca 30 percent
- T28 Concept now has one more crewmember (one loader added)
- Super Pershing armor was slightly changed (shiny garage lines one is new, the turret got tiny bit narrower and some of the vision ports disappeared from the collision model):

Hello everyone,
the following article describes how Wargaming developed a special mod for Occulus Rift from the developer point of view. Enjoy.
Roughly a year and a half ago, Wargaming developers got their hands on the DK-1. After some time spent playing Team Fortress and Quake in Full 3D, they decided to do something with it for World of Tanks. You can read below about the results.
World of Tanks supports a certain number of game devices (peripheries), which extend the player user experience (various vibrations for example). However, with the appearance of the Occulus rift, we decided not to please only the butt of the player, but to give them some new eye candy as well.
That’s right, it’s here. The new upcoming tier 10 French. Is it just me, or does it look completely badass?
Description: At the moment of its creation in 1966, AMX 30 B was one of the best vehicles, surpassing all the tanks (with the exception of Leopard 1) in mobility and power-to-weight ratio and with the longest effective firing range for anti-tank fire. Thanks to excellent visibility, the commander could effectively coordinate the crew actions and operatively react to combat situation changes, which further increased the tank firepower. Although it had weaker armor than most its contemporary tanks, the development of new ammunition negated this disadvantage. In total, roughly 2800 AMX 30 tanks were produced.
Characteristics (for 100 percent crew):
Hitpoints: 1900
Engine: 720 hp
Weight: 36 tons
Power-to-weight: 20 hp/t
Maximum speed: 65/23 km/h
Hull traverse: 48 deg/s
Terrain resistance: 0,959/1,151/2,014
Turret traverse: 39,6 deg/s
Viewrange: 400
Radio range: 782,1
Hull armor: 80/35/?
Turret armor: 80/40/?
Elite gun: 105mm
Damage: 390
Penetration: 260
ROF: 6,134
DPM: 2392,4
Reload: 9,781
Accuracy: 0,326
Aimtime: 2,3s
Depression: -8
Armor:
- no fixes regarding the domination of top clans in Stronghold mode were promised for 9.6, but yes, this situation will be remedied in the future
- arty branches in HD will not come soon
- IS-4 will get a new HD model, different than the one shown in the early “Havok” video
- 9.7 will bring a large pack of HD models
- ramming mechanism will be changed (fixed) soon
- it’s “completely possible” to convert the Bugworld engine to support multiple cores, WG is working on that now
- multicore support is already in the game, now WG is working on its extension
Hello everyone,
Wargaming learned from their mistake and did let us test the new upcoming premium vehicles, that will be sold for money – STA-2 and AMX Chasseur de Chars (furthermore referred to as AMX CDC). Let’s have a look at them.
AMX CDC
Model in garage:
Hello everyone,
the second round of the test 9.6 is live. It is cca 127 MB large compared to Test 1. The list of changes is available in Russian (will translate it if it doesn’t show up on portal today, but I am sure it will). The biggest changes:
You can now test AMX CDC and STA-2 :) So enjoy.
Edit: English patchnotes are here now.
