World of Tanks: Rush!

Hello everyone,

just a quick heads up. There’s a new upcoming card game, called World of Tanks:Rush! Looks like the art and terminology remains the same as in WoT (same artists and developers did it) and WoT players might find it very familiar.

Allegedly, one session takes about 30 mins of dynamic gameplay. It will be presented during the Moscow boardgame festival Igrokon 2013 on 14th or 15th of September. Unfortunately, for now it is only in Russian. Not sure there are English plans for it.

Active EU Missions – 7.9.2013

The Weekly and Summer missions ended, but new weekend ones have started

The Way to Glory – win 15 victories, get 250k credits once per day
Learning by Doing – be one of the top 3 XP earners in your team (no matther whether you win or lose), get 20 percent more crew XP
Know your Trade – earn 50k XP per day, get 1 day of premium account (once per day)

A Job Well Done – win 75 battles during the whole special (until Tuesday 7AM) and get 1 day premium account + 10 gold fire extinguishers, doable once per account

Lucky 7’s – win 7 battles, survive 7 battles and destroy 7 tanks, earn 70k credits, doable once per day

Not much today.

- SerB states that there were very few subcaliber and HEAT shells in WW2, two thirds of a tank ammo load were HE shells
- T28 and T28 Proto have different types of suspension-improving equipment, because they didn’t share the same platform
- Storm on historical penetration of guns: “It’s historical wherever it was possible”
- for now, tier 5 Flak 41 88mm L/74 will has the same penetration as the PaK 43 L/71, but “tests will show” whether it will stay that way (SS: most likely won’t, historically the Flak had lower penetration)
- Sturer Emil will not be called Sturer Emil in game, because it was just an unofficial name
- high tiers (Sturer Emil, Waffenträger) will have only like 20mm armor (against bullets)
- historically, the “classic” Waffenträgers (SS: like the Ardelt and Steyr people keep linking) were not projected for long 105mm, but only for 88mm and 105mm howitzer, that’s why they aren’t on high tiers, they’d fit like tier 7

WoT and Girls und Panzer cooperation in Japan

as a few of you guys already noticed, Wargaming Japan started the collaboration with Girls und Panzer.

First and foremost, there is the GuP manga on WoT site: WoT for beginners.

In this webcomic, Japanese players (the whole thing is obviously in Japanese only, until some fan translates it to English) learn the basics of WoT with their favourite Girls und Panzer characters.

Featherweight for Victory! – win 10 battles with your tier 4+ light tank (you can use more light tanks to fulfill the criteria, it adds up), get 50k credits – once per day
