Hello everyone,

just a translation of an interesting post from the developer blog (the author, however, is a regular RU server player, not a developer). The translation is not perfect (what the hell means “ponarkomanil” – the best equivalent I could find is “fixed”)

I don’t like to write on the Livejournal blog too much, but seeing Storm’s AA gun on the E-100 chassis, I couldn’t help but bite, because I like German both the wunderwaffen and the E-100 too.

Storm screwed the scale somewhat, cleaned the photo of perspective (scale) points, brought it to scale, cleaned (cut) the rims of the picture and voila! I think that Hitler turned in his grave

Then I fixed it a bit more and tried to display the gun mount as it would be on a tank gun. The result turned out to be… addictive. Immediately remembered the “Kondensator”

Know your Trade – earn 50k XP per day, get 1 day of premium account (once per day)

Beware of Flankers – kill 50 enemy tanks (once per account till Saturday 7AM) with a T4+ medium tank, get 1 Improved Ventilation Class 2 + 10 Large Repair kits
Mediums for Victory! – win 10 battles in a T4+ medium tank once per day, get 50k credits

Storm:

So, recently the germanophiles those who like to play on German tanks were worried that we didn’t put the real long gun with the 150mm autoloader. Here’s a picture especially for those who suffer with correct size ratio. This is how it would look, if we did put the real life autoloaded 150mm gun (Storm: “this construction”) on E-100 chassis:

And by the way, at this moment, the version with Jagdtiger’s top gun and an autoloader for 6 rounds is being tested.

New 8.8 personal rating is a complex index of player’s combat efficiency, based on six parameters:

- average experience (without PA bonus)
- average damage dealt per battle
- amount of battles played
- winrate
- winrate in battles where the player survived
- hit rate

In order to make the rating system more fair, average experience per battle will be calculated freshly from the point of 8.8 going live (new system introduction). Player experience, gained before 8.8, will not be taken into account.

As predicted, 8.8 came live to Russia today.

- There was apparently a bug in the patch that prevented people from selling the Superpershing for gold, but it has been fixed since.

- As confirmed earlier, the 112 and T-34-3 premium tanks are available only via gift shop. In Russia, the T-34-3 itself (without the costof the garage slot) costs an equivalent of 10800 gold, while the 112 costs an equivalent of 12100 gold.

- as confirmed earlier by WG, a lot of mods stopped working in 8.8. There is a sort of “fix” however: earlier, some mods installed their elements into the \gui\flash folder. In 8.8, they use \gui\scaleform folder – some mods will start working if you copy the mod content from the flash to scaleform folder. Don’t ask me any details tho, I don’t use mods. Also, “Jove Pack” (whatever that is) along with some version of XVM do work in 8.8

- confirmed: owners of VK3001H will get free VK3002M with new 100 percent crew + a slot, while the old VK3001H crew gets automatically retrained to the VK3001H tier 5 heavy tank (if you want to keep it in “medium” class, you have to retrain it to another medium tank)

- how to earn some litte credit: if you have one of the vehicles that get their engines changed (Tiger, Tiger II, Panther, Panther II, Jagdpanther, Jagdpanther II, Jagdtiger, VK2801), sell immediately all the stock engines you might have in your depot. In the patch, the top engine gets demounted (and changed) and you will recieve an extra stock engine for free.
