However, in the Russian giftshop shop, this picture with V/IV appeared (notice the side and turred additional armor):
When asked about this possible mistake, Evilly replied:
“That’s because the model will soon be changed into that you can see on the picture :) Looks nice, no?”

TR-580 – possible EU tree tier 10?
Hello everyone,
so it happened that Mao89 from EU server sent me a guest article about the Romanian TR-580 project a few days ago. At first, I was skeptical, because this project has two major flaws. First, it is “too new” (the vehicle was designed in 1974) and second, Mao89 proposed a massive frontal hull armor (200mm with an additional plate, with its angle it’s 300mm+, that would never work in WoT).
So, what I did was a bit of research myself. Obviously I can’t speak Romanian, so I will rely on Russian sources (which – when it comes to Soviet bloc tech – are quite accurate). This post is based on a combination of my own and Mao’s text. Most credit goes to him, I will only add some corrections.

Storm on 8.8 matchmaker:
Immediately after the 8.8 went live, there have been many complains regarding the matchmaker. One of the main ones was about the increased waiting time before battles. This has been confirmed. We are dealing with it now.

SerB seems angry today, some of his answers are rude, full of typos and trolling. When called on that, he said it’s because the “amount of idiots here has increased”
- Q: “SerB, last year (the idea of winning Golden Joystick) caused enthusiasm amongst players (unlike this year), what do you think about such a fundamental change in player attitude?” A: “I don’t care” (later he says that people are “celebrating” WoT GJ loss too early and they need to chill out and he closes with “Whine, whine never changes”)
- SerB doesn’t like swearing in ingame chat, as “there is always a non-vulgar word that can be used and is no less offensive”, for example “noobies” instead of “retards” (SS: this is an approximation of what SerB said, in Russian there are two not rude word for noobs: Alleni (which comes from the name Alyosha if I recall correctly) – a generic name for noobs, or Oleni (deers), that’s why so many Russian videos about noobs have deer pictures in them)
On the 8.8 lags
Hello everyone,
as you probably know, the 8.8 have already been recognized as an issue in patch 8.8. The problem is, even with low ping and stable connection with no packet loss, there still is significant lag (the green light next to the ping meter blinks red all the time) for no apparent reason. I myself have this a LOT on EU1 (less on EU2, but for EU2 I have significantly higher ping, for EU1 it’s 50-60, for EU2 80-90).
