Italeri Models and Wargaming Cooperation

Hello everyone,

the well-known Italian kit producer, Italeri, launched a special edition of its models in cooperation with World of Tanks. On its website, you can check them out – so far, it’s four vehicles: Ferdinand, Tiger, Sherman and Chaffee. These 1:35 kits come with a WoT-themed box, WoT-themed decals, some brochure and a bonus code.

The bonus code is for the LeFH arty. According to the info from the webshop linked above, these four special edition models will be available from… today (18.8.2014).

So, You Want to Buy the Type 59…

Hello everyone,

one of the most common questions on various forums is: “will we ever get to buy Type 59 again?” – the answer is no so far, because the Type 59 is (when it comes to premium tanks) blatantly OP and Wargaming does not want to promote pay to win. And be grateful for that – because now, I will show you, what happens when a WoT producer DOES promote pay to win.

Player Nishang from Chinese server was kind enough to send me some of the pictures of normal tier 8 battles. Also notice the nicknames of the left platoon 1st platoon (that nick wouldn’t last long here) and the platoon balance – MM rules are clearly different on Chinese server.

Straight Outta Supertest: 9.3 Branch Changes

Hello everyone,

this is how the branches setup will change in 9.3 – please note that these branch changes were confirmed as legit so yes, this is how it’s going to be.

Germans will recieve the RU251 on tier 8, that will merge with Leopard Prototype.

Soviet changes are more extensive. MT-25 will no longer be unlocked from tier 6 KV-1S, but from tier 5 T-34 and will lead to tier 7 LTTB, tier 8 T-54 Obl. (light T-54), which will merge with tier 9 T-54. Current KV-1S will be split into tier 5 KV-1S (unlockable from KV-1) and KV-85 (tier 6), that will be researchable from KV-1S.

Soviet

American branch is pretty straightforward – Chaffe, T37, M41, T49 (which merges into T54E1). What is interesting is that the T49 tier 5 tank destroyer was renamed to T67 (which is historical, or at least more historical).

- the information that Firefly was planned for patch 0.9.5 is correct (SS: this however can still change, currently the 9.5 is planned for mid December)
- attacking other Strongholds owned by other clans will work roughly as clanwars, only instead of gold, you get the industrial resource
- apparently, there was a bug in the rules/shop on the Russian server, where – if you bought a vehicle in the shop for discount and you already had it, you recieved its original pre-discount price in gold as compensation (SS: as in, buying something worth 1500g for 750g, you already have it, you get 1500g instead). This was recently fixed (causing some butthurt on RU forums).
