Ukraine: Separatist T-64 in Pieces After Ammo Explosion

Thanks to Cradorsky for this one.

An interesting article about the Ukraine separatists (from 7.7.2014) appeared on a Polish news server. Here, one incident is mentioned, where a separatist T-64 was torn apart by an ammo rack explosion.

It is known that the separatist forces are operating stolen T-64 tanks of the Ukraine army. According to the article, this tank (a part of a separatist armored column) was destroyed by the army, when the separatists tried to leave Krematorsk towards Donetsk and the Ukraine army shot their column (which included BMP-2 and BMD infantry combat vehicles) to pieces. This is how the rest of the column ended:

According to the article, in the recent days, the separatist took terrible beating, with the army defeating them at every turn.

Swiss Tanks – Part 3 (Modern Tank Destroyers)

Swiss Tanks – Part 1
Swiss Tanks – Part 2

The first part of the Swiss tank destroyer article covered the wartime vehicles, so let’s take a look at some of the post-war vehicles. This article will just focus on tracked vehicles – wheeled vehicles of Switzerland shall have to wait for another day.

In the 1950′s, the MOWAG company was founded by the inimitable Walter Ruf and started designing a variety of wheeled and tracked vehicles for military and civilian use. Early in the 1950′s, they were testing the MOWAG Pirat, which was a fully enclosed rear turretted tank destroyer, fitted with a powerful 90mm MECAR gun.

Warning: EU CW Issue

Hello everyone, just a quick warning to those, who are playing Clanwars. Due to some screwup on WG side (maybe it’s even intentional as a part of some event, but judging from the amount of confused people who just wrote me, I doubt that), tanks are now being locked during landings. So be careful. If anyone finds any explanation of this crap, please post it in comments.

Edit: confirmed that it is a bug, they are “working on it”.

Straight Outta Supertest: PvE “Tower Defense”

Hello everyone,

at this point, several sources from supertest already confirmed that the PvE mode on supertest is some sort of “tower defense” mode. Basically, a team of players defends against stronger and stronger waves of enemy bots. Currently, it is in a stage of “discussion” – the developers are trying to gather feedback from supertesters, whether such a mode would be interesting.

Well, would you be interested?

You can check out the way MM works in WoT Blitz.

- Australian server in WoT? “While there is no further specific information on a possible AUS cluster at the moment… We are continuing to expand into the Asia/Australasia region with WOT and other titles, Such as the recent launch of WOT Blitz IOS. Sorry I don’t have any more information available at the moment.”
- Storm states that the use of PVE bots in WoT would for example be in historical battles, where bots would play the small tanks noone wants to play
- regarding the same question as above (players not playing weak tanks in historical battles), Storm states that giving even more credits to players for playing lowtier tanks is not an option (“very few people like to suck for money”)
- T-62A armor change will happen only if WG gets better info on its armor thickness
- “it is not yet clear”, what will happen to FV4202 when the tier 10 one it is changed to another vehicle

Straight Outta Supertest: PvE

Hello everyone,

from the “usual” source – developers currently dealt with PVE battles on Supertest. There are no details yet as everything is still in flux and the supertester thinks that they will announce it soon anyway. But looks like we will be fighting bots outside of random battles as well…
