KTTS/ASAP 9.2

English version. Inside:

- the testing of Stronkhold mode was positive, based on the feedback the devs changed the format of the raids inside it to 7vs7, 10vs10 and 15vs15, depending on tier of the raid
- described tank nerfs (as written in the patchnotes)
- FV215b (183) gold penetration was nerfed because the players used the gold ammo more often than the developers expected
- M46 was buffed (accuracy on the move and others)
- VK4502P Ausf.B armor was somewhat improved
- other buffs/nerfs described
- new HD models: IS, SU-100, StuG III and Churchill I
- reworked maps
- Komarin will now appear only for low tier tanks apparently
- new graphically improved Prokhorovka was added
- HD tanks will display in full texture quality only if you are driving that tank, other (friendly/enemy) tank HD models will show with lower quality texture
- added the foliage transparency toggle in order to increase performance on bad computers
- currently devs are working on adding new light tanks (US, German, Soviet)

World of Tanks Rush – Now Available in Slovakia

Thanks to Lonigus for this one – in fact, this article is based specifically on his info.

For those who do not know, World of Tanks Rush is a tabletop card game (as in, real cards, not playing on PC or mobile devices) from the World of Tanks franchise (the name like totally didn’t give that away) and can be played with 2 to 5 players. For the WoT collectors, the box costs like 21 Euro and contains a bonus code for the B2 German premium heavy tank. It can be purchases via the brloh.sk portal, but it is available on other places as well. Czech Republic has a version too, translated to Czech (both versions are localized)

Of World of Tanks Wiki

Hello everyone,

as you probably know by now, after 9 or so long months, the World of Tanks wiki, once one of the best tools to look for info in, has returned. However, even after 9 months of work, I think we can all agree that the page is, to put it mildly, undercooked. I ran through it (not very thoroughly I must admit) and I found following issues:

Some parts are completely missing, such as the gallery of the STB-1 for example.

Clanwars Riot Mechanism Changes

Hello everyone,

just in case some of the clanwars players missed it – a post appeared both on US and on EU forums about the riot mechanism changes in clanwars.

Please note the following changes to Riot mechanics in Global Conquest:

  • Additional coefficient for basic probability of revolts decrease from 30% to 10%
  • Chips influence on probability of revolt increase from 2% to 3%
  • Influence of counterspy on probability of revolt increase from 30% to 50%
  • Influence of HQ  on probability of revolt will increase from 50% to 100%

The discussion thread for this information can be found in the clan section here

9.7.2014

- according to Inscending, more emblems, flags and inscriptions will be released in future, currently however there is no ETA
- Storm: it’s “highly unlikely” that FV4202 will (if it gets changed to a premium tank) be given out for free the way T34 was, when the tier 10 gets replaced by something else (Storm: “Free stuff is bad :)”)

Overlord about the decision makers in WoT, producers and his own role:

“WG is huge company now with over 3k employees (there were about 100 when I joined). Right now it’s pretty decentralised, so it would be hard to come up with top 10 global decision makers. Speaking of particular games, I definitely won’t be on the top list for WoT PC, since I don’t work on the project for quite some time. As for WoT Blitz and other mobile projects, I’m definitely on the top 10 chart. :) Producer role here at WG basically means global supervision of the product, so I’m responsible for everything and nothing at the same time.”

- the WG EU CW error was apparently not fixed yet, so be careful

Japanese Tank Destroyers – Part II

Part 1http://ftr.wot-news.com/2014/06/19/japanese-tank-destroyers-part-i/

Author: Daigensui

Damn the Armor, Full Penetration Ahead!

This is Part 2 of the Japanese Tank Destroyer Series, dealing with the concepts and prototypes of thinly armored tank destroyers developed by the Japanese. Due to the rather sprawling nature of the development, I’ll go by the specific projects.

1. Experimental Type 5 47 mm SPG Ho-Ru

7HyzYto

A tank destroyer based on the Ha-Go chassis. Following the idea of Marder and Jg.Pz. 38 (t), it utilizes an open-back casemate to lower the height while also allowing a more powerful gun to be installed. It was originally planned to use a shortened version of 47 mm Tank Gun Type 1 (Model II), but development delays and stronger enemies led to the installment of a regular 47 mm Tank Gun Type 1 for tests, which were successful.

Tank Evolution with Dmitryi Puchkov

Source: http://worldoftanks.ru/ru/news/pc-browser/1/Wargaming_cooperation_with_Goblin/

Hello everyone,

if this news did not include an interesting video, I wouldn’t bother with it, but it does, so here goes. Wargaming started cooperating with some Russian guy I have never heard about. His name is Dmitryi “Goblin” Puchkov and apparently he’s some sort of known Russian game journalist and loves tanks.

The interesting part is, together with him, they made a video about the evolution of tanks. The first part deals specifically with armor and – what is best – has English subtitles (no idea why the Russian server includes those when this stuff doesn’t get introduced to EU and US portals anyway, but I am grateful for it). Here’s the video, enjoy!
