earlier, I posted that the test server will come out on 9.12.2013 – that info (while apparently true at the time) is no longer valid. 8.10 test server will apparently come out on 5.12.2013, the patch release for EU and US is planned for 23.12.2013.

a lot of the players have been asking, what is the next discounted tier 10 tank. I have some bad new for you. According to SEA forums (this post), there will be no tier 10 discounts between now and 1st of February 2014 (which is the Chinese New Year, referred to by Tanitha).
Furthermore, it seems the discount will move from their two-week format to something else.
However, given how the entire thing is worded, it’s not impossible for tier 9 and 10 discounts to appear in some form for Christmas/New Year and whatnot.
- the objects that currently don’t stop any shells (for example telephone poles and such) will not be affected by the soft object penetration mechanism
- right now, it’s not even theoretically considered to allow shells penetrate multiple easy-to-penetrate tanks in a row (with penetration loss) (SS: a player was asking whether it is considered for example for a Object 268 shell to penetrate several MS-1 tanks in a row, destroying them all)
- developers on the alleged “too many TD’s” issue: “The rumors about the TD domination are too much exaggerated. At this moment, there are less TD’s than HT’s (we are talking about top battle tiers) and there is roughly the same amount of TD’s as there is of mediums” and “In fact, the gameplay on TD’s is quite boring and monotonous, when compared to LT’s, MT’s and even HT’s. So players played a bit with the new accuracy and then went back to play on their favourite vehicles.”

an interesting piece of information. Did you know that the Chinese WoT server doesn’t use real national flags, like all the others do? This is according to Daigensui because of the fact that it’s illegal to use real life flags in China, unless you are reenacting. So, instead of the regular flags, they use this:

- SerB states he does read the Suggestions forum (SS: on RU server), but very, very few things make sense there

Tier 9 Object 430 Variant II

not everyone probably looks at the WG Support page (I wouldn’t either, but Karlie on CZ forums linked it). According to this post, there is some problem with some of the payment methods, resulting in delays between payment and goods delivery.
This concerns credit cards, Paypal and Playsafe methods. Please note the US server has the same issue.
So you might want to wait with buying stuff until it gets fixed.

I’d like to bring your attention to this really interesting piece of software I was informed recently about. A group of Chinese programmers (who proposed earlier the Personal Rating you might remember), who call themselves Smellyriver Studio, did put together new software to actually inspect tanks in game. I tested it a bit and to me it seems really easy to use and user friendly in general, that’s why I am giving everyone heads up. It’s called Tank Inspector. Currently however, it is in beta stage and thus it’s not universally available: you need “beta keys” to access it. I will get to that in a moment.
