EU results for LT XP competition clean

Hello everyone,

looks like Wargaming EU has learned their lesson and started banning cheaters, who try to rig the the light tank part of the XP competition. Funnily enough, some are even dumb enough to ask why they were banned openly…

podvod

Pomfrit: LOL, so like 2x in my life I take as a joke the BT-2 to tier 10 (not banned by the rules), by an incredible accident I manage to make really ultra high score and after one day they took everything back even when I am in top 50 with Leopard and I get 7 days ban to boot, really great…

Karlie: Your contribution was removed because of cheating. BT-2 would have no chance to survive for 5 minutes in such a company and to penetrate 17 out of 21 shots, unless the server was down or the others were willing to cooperate on the result.

Good job :)

PS: that idiot’s result

- when the option to hide your stats is implemented, if someone hides their stats, you won’t be able to see them even after the battle is over (in game). It will also not be possible to recieve the stats of someone who has them hidden via API (SS: whatever that is, I suspect it’s some interface the mods like Noobmeter and Xvm work through)
- when you reset your skills for silver and select new perks, the penalty does spread over the whole XP amount (SS: so you will still get 100 percent base crew skill, you will just get less XP for the skills/perks)
- apparently, what tanks you have in hangar is still considered private info (won’t be disclosed in player stats)
- missions cannot be completed in company battles, as they would be too easy to rig

WoT Blitz fail

Hello everyone,

many of you have probably already seen the World of Tanks: Blitz trailer. For those who don’t know, WoTB is a mobile version of World of Tanks, that – considering it runs on mobile platforms – looks really great. ETA is currently unknown as far as I know.

A day or two ago, an official trailer came out:

Notice anything strange on that Youtube video? Yea, it’s a pretty bad mashup of old trailers, showing nothing from the game itself. What is however even funnier is Wargaming’s behavior: when this “trailer” recieved mostly negative feedback on Youtube, they pulled it down and re-uploaded it, this time with comments and voting disabled.

So much for “we want to know your opinion”…

All new prem tanks/planes via giftshop only…

Hello everyone,

well, this is a sad turn of events. Wargaming apparently decided that all new premium tanks will enter the game only via giftshop. It all started by Quasar’s post and one of his answers:

quasar

Well, Quasar was wrong in the past, so I wondered whether it’s true and asked around in Russian LJ community. And Storm commented:

storm

So, basically, we now have confirmed that ALL new premium tanks/airplanes will enter WoT or WoWp via gift shop only. Which means: if you still have the Superpershing gold, you won’t be able to buy some other new premium tank for it and will have to wait until 9.0 or so to buy the Japanese premium Chi-Nu Kai, or the Soviet premium T-44-85.

What a nice moneygrab. But then again, I guess stuff like this gets pretty expensive.

Hello everyone,

Chi-Nu Kai to enter only via gift shop at first

Source: Quasar’s post

In an unexpected turn of events, 8.9 upcoming Japanese premium tank Chi-Nu Kai will be apparently available only via gift shop in 8.9, just like the Chinese 112 and T-34-3 were.

I wonder if this is a new trend to force people to spend more money, because (unlike the “Type 59 plague” fear with 112/T-34-3), there is IMHO no real reason for Wargaming to introduce Chi-Nu Kai via giftshop only, apart from ripping players off…

- BIA having no effect on camo? “BIA increases the overall skill level of the crew. Furthermore the aim time and others are increased according to general rules.” – and, when confronted by some experiment a player made: “Your experiments are very important to us”
- some guy asks whether the rear-turret tank destroyer with turret based on Maus chassis will be the tier 10 German TD. SerB: “If there is info, there will be such a variant. We have info only about the E-100″ (SS: what a load of garbage, there was no such project)

Weekend 20-kill mission

Hello everyone,

regarding the 20-kill weekend mission (last weekend it was T-34, T1 Heavy and AT-2, get 20 kills with them and get 1 mil credits, 7 days of prem and some gold consumables):

The vehicles for the upcoming weekend missions are: M4 Sherman, BDR G1B and T49

(the reason we know this is the fact that Russian server has the same missions as the EU one and it was shown prematurely in the RU client)

KV-4 design proposals

Source: http://forum.worldoftanks.eu/index.php?/topic/298430-hall-of-kv-4-design-proposals/
Author: Giganaut_EU

Silentstalker:

This was originally posted on the link above (I just corrected some typos). I repost this with Giganaut’s permission, because this is simpke too good to pass up. As some of you know, there were actually numerous KV-4 proposals – some relatively simple, while others were completely outlandish. Let’s have a look at them.

Giganaut_EU:

Note: I modelled these in Google sketchup, with existing plans provided in Battlefield.ru with their collected data given – somewhat proved to be a bit insufficient because it was missing a few things. This thread could be the official if not centralized discussion thread for all KV-4s.

This particular KV series is an interesting one in the Kliment Voroshilov heavy tank program. Its design purpose was to withstand any German gun and to destroy any opposing heavy German tanks. It was to remain unbuilt and its design proposals would be used if the time comes when it is needed.

Designers began to work on the KV-4 design in April 1941. Since the Kirov Plant did not have experience in this area, the chief of the SKB-2, J.Kotin, assigned almost all the engineers of his design bureau to the design of this tank and made the task a competition.
