- (SS: if I understand this correctly) it’s theoretically possible to detrack a vehicle by a HE shell, even if it hits the vehicle somewhere else. When the HE shell “damage sphere” forms (to determine which modules can be hit), the armor layer itself doesn’t limit it, so it’s possible for the tracks to be caught within it, even if the shell penetrated the armor somewhere else and exploded “inside” the vehicle
- the deciding factor in whether a mod is illegal or not is the question, whether it gives the player a clear ingame advantage. If it does, it’s most likely illegal
- the “112″ Chinese heavy premium tank will have HEAT shells for gold, it most likely won’t have limited MM (it will meet T10′s)
- the Waffentrager E-100 will be “with high probability” the tier 10 of the German second TD branch
- the characteristics of the premium T-44 have been roughly decided
- it’s possible to damage other tanks by splash, when a HE shell explodes on the target’s armor and doesn’t penetrate
- it’s possible to have this situation: the Tiger’s mantlet was visually penetrated, but the tank was not harmed and the crew voiceover said “that one didn’t go thru” – because the shell did penetrate the mantlet, but was stopped by the turret armor behind it.
- it’s theoretically possible for a shell to penetrate armor, destroy a module inside, penetrate armor again and fly out
- there are plans for changed water physics, but not very soon
- the adjustable suspension will not be implemented into World of Tanks (SS: this concerns STRV and E-10, neither of which will appear)
- the top tier Japanese tank will be the Type 74 prototype, ST-B1 (SS: article about it will follow)
- LTP tank being faster than T-127, despite having weaker engine? “Better suspension quality”
- SerB speaks apart from German also English
- suspension quality won’t be disclosed to public (in hangar)
- there will be no daytime change (day/night cycle) in the anniversary hangar
- SerB on whine about the LTP coming with 50 percent crews: “Sorry for us giving you a not fully satisfactory gift on our birthday. I hope that on your birthday, you will give your friends exactly the thing they dream about.”
- Q: “But the players are giving you their money whole year!” A: “Funny. And I thought they are getting something for their money.”
Overlord:
- 2014 EU tree? “It’s not 100% that we will add 2 new nations in 2014.” (SS: take it as you will)

Today, the vehicle, called LTP, was distributed to the players
There is very little info on this vehicle, for obvious reasons. The project of this tank was found in the inventions department of the Red Army GABTU. The author of the “light tank” project seems to be K.J.Provornov from Ulyanovsk and the project is dated to July 1942. Regardless of the fact that the project was destined to be scrapped, we have to consider the very serious approach of the author to its designing process. Such a war machine was potentially possible to build, but the existence of T-70 removed any point in building it.
How to remove the 15th Anniversary Garage
Hello everyone,
long story short, here’s a quick and simple way how to remove the anniversary garage, if you (like me) don’t like it, by Korney36 on RU forums.
Step 1: go to the World_of_Tanks\res\packages folder
Step 2: find three files: hangar_premium.pkg, hangar_premium_15aug.pkg and hangar_premium_15bday.pkg
Step 3: copy the hangar_premium.pkg over the content of hangar_premium_15aug.pkg and over the content of hangar_premium_15bday.pkg (so you will have the hangar_premium.pkg file in 3 different copies, including the original)
Step 4: Profit!
Tested it myself, works.

LTP is here
As most of you probably already know, the LTP light tank was awarded today. Just a quick screenie of the stats for those, who didn’t see it yet:

Iron Force game for iOS stole WG models
Thanks for “Davy“, who sent me an e-mail with this (sorry, mate, you didn’t sign other than with your real name, which I won’t publish), originally published by Motorizedpatriot on US forums.
Apparently, there is a game called Iron Force for iOS – a little mobile game, with one problem: it apparently stole some of its models from World of Tanks.

- SerB on historical battles: “In War Thunder, it’s possible in historical battles to fly with Dora from 1944 against Mig-15 from the 50′s over Stalingrad. We don’t like this variant, that’s why we are doing more complex system.”
- in WG statistics, winrate plays more important role than damage per battle, because “dealing damage is not the only way how to secure victory”
P.26/40 – Italy’s finest Tank of WW2
Author: Vollketten (US forums)
Today, we have another guest article by Vollketten. Enjoy!
I’ve been running a thread with a suggested Italian tech tree on the NA forum for some time and have occasionally put out an article of the TOG and Matilda tanks so I thought I would share with the FTR record the details of what was Italy’s best tank to see service in WW2.
