Foch 155 armor nerf

Hello everyone, today, we learned that the Foch (and Foch 155) armor is to be adjusted to fit the schematic Storm posted: While we do not know the exact changes yet (we will know in a week, as the test starts next Thursday), by looking at this schematic, we can guess some of the values. I used the Tank Inspector software to compare the ingame Foch 155 to the blueprints and if the Foch 155 in the game was to be changed to exactly fit the plans, following changes would be made: – lower frontal plate from 120mm to 100mm – roof (frontal part) from 50mm to 30mm – roof (rear part above engine) from 40mm to 20mm – rear from 50mm to 40mm – entire side from 50mm to 40mm (including the armor behind the tracks) So this is what I think it will happen (maybe excluding the LFP nerf). However, the rangefinder nerf was announced too, so I think we’ll also see that, even though it doesn’t show on the schematics.

Foch 155 to be nerfed in 8.10? Nope.

Source: world-of-ru.livejournal.com/2844484.html Hello everyone, news appeared that Foch 155 will allegedly get a nerf in 8.10, according to the “leak” from supertester part of the forum: “Task of the week: rebalance of Foch 155 in 8.10 We have to decide what to do with it: 1. nerf alpha to 650 2. nerf frontal armor to 120″ Terrible? Not really. Storm came to explain: “Listen up whiners, you better check your source. I haven’t seen so much ruckus caused by a photoshopped pic for a long time”

No T57/Foch155/Object268 nerf planned

Hello everyone, on several places of RU forums an information appeared today that the T57, Foch 155 and Object 268 will get a massive nerf soon (0.8.8), including a list of alleged changes, “leaked from supertest”. Storm (who is atm on vacation) and another moderator on RU forums however confirmed: it’s a fake. No such nerf is planned.

Wargaming Saltmining Inc.

Hello everyone, I can’t help myself but return to #SirFochGate I posted about in the last post an hour ago or so, because it’s hilarious. First and foremost, I’d like to congratulate the Wargaming colleagues on this level of fail. Getting Jim FUCKING Sterling involved, that’s just another level, one we at Armored Warfare are still staring at in envy. A short summary: – SirFoch made a video criticizing Wargaming for their shift towards Pay to Win – Wargaming threatened to strike it down with copyright – Multiple Youtubers get involved, including Jim Sterling Oooops. Sir Foch posted an explanation on Reddit including some pics from Wargaming community contributor discord I assume, proving he was indeed threatened. Ph3lan, threatening a hostile Youtuber with frivolous copyright strikes publically (of COURSE Sir Foch took screenshots, he’d be an idiot not to) – how stupid are you? I mean, professionally, I can partially relate to your feelings about youtubers who produce content that’s completely misleading, but I’d never threaten them with copyright strikes. Plus, let’s face it, I think Foch might be right. Aaaaaaanyway…. On more positive side, after two years of working on Armored Warfare, I am sort of glad that nothing changed when it comes to WG. It’s like I never left :) And last but not least, seriously… Wargaming, if you are reading this, please, please, please, PLEASE, don’t fire the guy. I am sure he was just a naughty little boy and meant well. Also, I really don’t want to see him applying for a job here. Edit: Apparently the head of the EU community (WG EU, who else…) responded by claiming that “we didn’t do anything” Haha this is literally like the Czechout affair years ago :) (and you know how well that went)

LOL WG Y U DO DIS

Sometimes I wish I was writing FTR about WoT still. AW has done weird shit too, but I’d have a fucking field day with this… Personally, I think it was not a company decision but an action of some retard in charge of WG Youtube going all salty about SirFoch. Fun stuff :)

- Storm has an idea for Foch 155 changes: either remove the 155mm autoloader and leave the gun as normal, or give it a 120mm autoloader gun. This is however not a plan, just an idea. He considers the current gun parameters “not normal” – situations where large caliber shells don’t penetrate very thinly armored targers? Storm: “Give us replays of that. Whenever we ask for replays, everybody backs off.” – it’s not yet clear, how the situation with new physics where tanks are able to climb to insane places will be solved, but some zones will have to be inaccessible – the current set of maps for the physics test is “more than enough sufficient” for testing – the current new physics effect where the tank “slows” as if you were shifting gear is not intentional and will be fixed – new motion physics will not be split into stages, it will be introduced all at once – improved motion physics caused the turrets to rotate really fast (SS: combined with improved hull rotation using handbrake), there are no plans to nerf them – currently, there are 5 connection points with ground (5 roadwheels) defining the movement of the vehicle – it will be possible for the developers to set the track grip for each suspension individually – it’s not yet clear whether some vehicles will be rebalanced with new motion physics – tanks getting to such weird places as this will not be implemented to live server, the possibility to move to such spots will be removed – there is also a bug in new physics that the tracks on destroyed tanks are stuck in the air (as if the tank was regularily on the ground), this will apparently be fixed

- a player claims that this area on IS-7 is bugged, that it allows players to penetrate IS-7 even with very low pen. Storm states that it will not be fixed (SS: as in, it’s intentional). – T-62A was not reworked to HD yet – a player was complaining that the Lenin statue on Ensk map is not fully destructable. Storm: “And other objects that are not fully destructable don’t bother you?” – Storm will investigate numerous complaints of ghost shells from replays on RU forums – artillery viewrange will also be nerfed just like the TD one was – Storm states that to “reanimate light tanks” was not the main goal of 9.6 – developers haven’t considered for now to give Foch 155 a gun without an autoloader – after the Foch 155 nerf some time ago, his statistics are “very average” – not all bugs in IM description were fixed in 9.6, there will be further fixes Storm, regarding the possible return of 9.5 accuracy: “Next week, we will study the statistics carefully. Right now, according to preliminary data, the difference in hit accuracy is around 1 percent, within the margin of error. We will investigate it further.” – Storm states that the alleged 9.6 bug where the tanks are “rotating” on the spot more is just a coincidence – the platoon invite system will be fixed in the future (the 9.6 interface caused some issues) – Storm is aware of the Tiger P HD model issue, that makes this weird graphic glitch, it will be fixed – it’s not sure for now whether in the future, the viewrange of premium tanks will get nerfed as well
